1080P AVALANCHE SERIES SNOW GOGGLES
Getting Started:
Congratulations on your purchase of Cyclops Gear 1080 Avalanche Series Snow Goggles.
You will be able to shoot high-definition video and take high quality photos, all hands free.
Models Included in this manual : CG 1080 AVALANCHE SNOW
The first step in using your device is charging it. Connect the device to a USB port on your PC or plug it into the AC power unit with the
included adapter. We suggest charging the device for 4 hours.
1. OPERATION
a) Insert a Micro SD card into the Micro SD card slot.
b) Press and hold the On/Off button and the goggles will turn on and vibrate. The color will go from blue to GREEN. GREEN IS STANDBY
MODE.

c) TAP the On/Off button to start recording. The GREEN light is now BLINKING BLUE.
d) TAP the On/Off button again to stop recording. The light is now back to GREEN.
e) To Power Off device, hold the On/Off button for 3 seconds. The device will shut down.
Note: The device automatically shuts down when not operated for 3 minutes to save the battery.
2. TAKING PHOTOS:
To take photos, when device is in standby mode, SOLID GREEN,
Tap the PHOTO button once to take one photo. The Light will turn solid Blue, the goggles will vibrate and then go back to GREEN. You have
taken a photo!
3. PLAYING BACK VIDEO:
IMPORTANT: Move all files to your computers hard drive before playing them for best results.
To view your files on a computer, simply connect the device via the supplied USB cord to a USB port, making sure the device is powered
OFF. It will connect as a removable drive, and depending on the settings on your PC, it may automatically notify you that new hardware has
been de-tected. If so, select OPEN Folder to View files. If it is not automatically detected, click Start on your desktop. Select My computer if
you are using Windows, or computer if us-ing Windows Vista or Windows 7. The device should be listed as a Removable Disk under the
Devices with remova-ble storage section.
Note: Depending on system configurations, the time to identify the removable disk will vary slightly. If the device is not being recognized
after 30 seconds, unplug the USB cable and plug back into the computer. If the computer is still unable to identify the hardware, make sure
that your operating system, driver and USB cable are all ok.

Setting Menu
1. EV—Higher EV can increase the brightness of the vid-eo quality.
2. Video Quality—To change the bit rate for different video quality.
3. Light Frequency—To avoid the flicker for indoor use, the right frequency needs to be set.
4. Time Stamp—Set time stamp, then the exact time will display on the video and photo.
5. Resolution—Change the resolution between 1080p and 720p.

Setting.txt:
1. Connect the goggles to the PC with the USB cable.
2. Find the setting.txt by opening the removable disk.
3. Choose update with “Y” means you can update the new data, DEFAULT SETTING IS “N”. RESTART THE GOGGLES TO ACTIVATE THE
SETTING.

SETTING TIME AND DATE:
1. Connect the device with PC, you need to create a file named settime.txt under the SD memory card.
2. Open the new Text document, input the local true time ac-cording to the following set form. For example the time is 6:09:01, 8th, Jul,
2013.
So we input :2013 07 08 06 09 01 (space need after each number) after finished save file and exit.
3. Press “power on” and the time will be set.
FIRMWARE UPDATE:
1. Please connect the camera to PC by USB cable.
2. Unzip the file and copy unzipped file to root folder.
3. Disconnect the USB to restart the camera, the blue LED will stay on 10SEC, and then quick flash for 40Sec, the camera will turn off
automatically.
4. Press “on/off button” to restart the camera.
Charging: IMPORTANT – To ensure proper functioning, it is strongly recommended to fully charge the Camera skiing gog-gles prior to first
use. It is recommended to fully charge the device for the next 4 times of use as well. This ensures that the lithium ion battery has a full
maximum charging capacity. To charge via USB, connect to a computer using the supplied USB cable. the blue indicator light will come on.
It is recom-mended to continue charging 30 minutes after the blue indica-tor light comes on for a maximum charge.
CHARGE WITH POWER ADAPTER OR POWER BANK
1. Plug the charger to the power supply and slot the battery into charger as indicated on the charger.
2. The Red LED on the charger will light up when the battery starts to charge.
3. The Red LED will turn off when the battery is fully charged. Please use our provided power adapter; it will damage the product
performance if you use the other power adapter.
CHARGE WITH USB CABLE
1. Turn the camera off, the plug the camera with the rechargeable battery to a computer with the USB cable pro-vided.
2. The blue LED will light up to show the battery is charg-ing.

3. The blue LED will be turned off when the battery is fully charged. The rechargeable battery can work nearly 90-100 Minutes under the
1080p@30FPS. A full charge will need 2-3 hours.
NOTE:
Ensure the card is inserted correctly
Do not touch the connect terminals on the bock of the micro SD card
ONLY use CLASS 10 OR ABOVE CARDS -lower classes may cause performance drop during recording
The camera supports micro SD/SDHC cards and is compatible with up to 32GB Micro SD cards
The card may be damaged if it is not fully inserted
The card and the data may be damaged if the micro SD card is inserted or removed while the camera is on
Do not touch the cable connector as this may affect the camera performance and functions
WARNING

Battery: If you do not use this recording function after a long time, please charge it fully before using.
File security: This product is not a professional storage device. It does not guarantee the integrity and security of saved files. Please back
up your important documents on the comput-er or other storage device timely.
Operating temperature: -10—50°C. For the extension of life, it is best used at room temperature.
Operating humidity: This product does have the water-proof function. So it can work in a humid environment.
Cleaning: To avoid the contamination of camera lens or other components, do not use it under the environment with high dust density.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem: The device seems to have frozen and isn’t reacting when any buttons are pressed.
Solution: This usually occurs if the device receives too many com-mands too quickly. Hold the power button for 8 seconds.
Problem: The GREEN light blinks really fast 5 TIMES and then shuts down.
Solution: The Micro SD card is full or the battery is low.
Problem: When playing back video, I can hear audio, but have no video.
Solution: This most often occurs if your computer’s media player is having trouble with your files. Try using VLC player, this can be
downloaded at www.videolan.org.
Problem: The video playback is choppy and freezes.
Solution: You need to move all video files to your computer before playing them. Playing them off the card or the glasses will cause this
problem.
Problem: No sound or Volume.
Solution: Verify if the audio setting is correct. Verify if the audio set-ting in the PC is correct, and try to play other videos to see if there is
any sound.
Problem: The Goggles cannot charge.
Solution: Verify if the power adapter works by the LED light indicator . Please do not charge with another adapter for these goggles.
