Installation
Follow the steps below to install a SIM card:
Remove the cover from the end of the adapter.1.
Pull out the SIM card tray. (Figure 1)2.
Insert the SIM card with the gold contacts facing down. (Figure 2)3.
Push the SIM card tray back into the adapter. (Figure 3)4.
Connect the adapter to a USB port on your computer. (Figure 4)5.
Note: To remove an installed SIM card, pull out the SIM card tray
and gently lift the card.

MicroSD Card Installation
Follow the steps below to install a MicroSD card:
Unplug the DWM-152 USB adapter from the computer.1.
Gently lift the upper left corner of the MicroSD card slot cover.2.

Insert the MicroSD card with the gold contacts facing towards the3.
top of the adapter. (Figure B)
Close the MicroSD card slot cover. (Figure C)4.
Plug the DWM-152 into a USB port on your computer.5.
The computer may take a moment to recognize the device.6.
A new removable disk will appear in your computer’s list of storage7.
drives.
Note: To remove a MicroSD card, unplug the device from the
computer. Open the card slot cover and gently push the card
in to eject it.

The DWM-152 has a slot which can read MicroSD cards with capacities of up to 8GB.

Click on the CD icon labeled1. DWM-152 on your desktop.
In the folder view, double-click on the package icon labeled2.
D-Link USB Modem Application and Driver Package.mpkg.
The installer will now be launched.3.
Software Installation
Before you install the software, you must rst install a SIM card into the USB adapter and connect the adapter to a
USB port on your computer.

Running the Installer
The installer will be displayed. Click1. Continue to proceed.
Next, the2. Read Me window will be displayed. It contains
the adapter’s rmware version and other information
related to the software. Click Continue to proceed.
The3. Installation Type window will appear. Click
Customize if you wish to install a specic package.
You also have the option of changing the installation
location. Click Change Install Location if you wish to do
so. Otherwise, the default volume will be used.
Click Install when you are ready to proceed.

4. The application will be installed to the location specied.
5. Once the installation process is successfully completed,
a window appear to inform you. You may now click the
Restart button to complete the installation.

Uninstalling the DWM-152
If for any reason you need to uninstall the DWM-152 Driver and Connection Manager Software, please follow the
instructions below.
Disconnect the DWM-152 mobile adapter from your computer.1.
Open the Applications menu (2. ñzA).
Open the folder Labeled3. DWM-152 USB Modem.
Double click on the script labeled4. Uninstaller.command.
Enter your password, if prompted, when the terminal window5.
appears.
The script will run and notify you once the Driver and6.
Application have been uninstalled. You may close the terminal
window.
Restart your computer to complete the uninstallation.7.

Basic Functions
Software Overview
Once the program has been installed, you may launch the DWM-152 USB Modem
application by clicking on its icon in the dock or via the Applications menu (ñzA).
Once launched, the D-Link Mobile Connection Manager window will be displayed. The D-Link Mobile
Connection Manager provides all of the functions needed to manage your connection to a mobile
service network.

New Prole
Click the1. Prole button.
Click the2. New button to open the New Prole window.
Create Prole
Enter the Profile Name, Phone Number, and APN (Access Point1.
Network)
Select the Authentication Type.2.
Click3. Save Account if you would like to save the username and password
between login sessions.
If desired, click the check box to set this as the default prole.4.
Click5. Next to continue.

Ending a Connection
Establishing a Connection
You can click the Connect button to connect to the network via the default prole. Once
connected, the icon on the right side of the window will display a green checkmark
instead of a red X. Once connected, you can use the mobile service network to
browse the Internet, send e-mail, send text messages, and perform other tasks online.
Note: The Connect/Disconnect button will be grayed-out when no SIM card is present.)
If you wish to disconnect, click the Disconnect button.


Prole Management
Editing a Prole
Click the1. Prole button.
Select a prole and click the 2. Edit button.
Click the appropriate tab and enter the information in the elds.3.
Click4. OK to close the Edit Prole window.
Note: Proles may only be edited when you are disconnected.
Deleting a Prole
Click the1. Prole button.
Select a user-dened prole and click the 2. Delete button.
Click3. Yes to conrm the deletion.
Setting the Default Prole
Click the1. Prole button.
Highlight the prole to use when the DWM-152 is started.2.
Click3. Set as Default prole.
Under the Proles icon, users can create, edit and delete proles as well as preset proles.

Section 5 - Connection Management
Usage
Statistics
The Usage window allows users to manage not only the current connection (if connected),
but also their connection history. Click the Connection Info button to open the Connection
Information window.
The Statistics tab displays the following information:
Settings - You may choose to limit data collection by data or by a specied number of days in a month.
Click Reset to restart the data collection. Click Apply to apply any changes to the settings.
Data Transferred and Limits: Displays the total amount of data transferred within the specied period.

Connection History
The History Connection tab displays the following information:
Prole - The name of the prole
APN - The access point name
Time Start - The time the connection was initiated
Time End - The time that the connected ended
Data Sent - The total amount of data sent
Data Received - The total amount of data received
Max Speed Up/Down - The highest recorded upload/
download speed for the session
Average Speed Up/Down - The average upload/download
speed for the session
To clear the Connection History:
Click1. Clear All Logs to clear the logs.
Click2. Yes to conrm.
