Introduction
The D-Link DCS-2802KT Wire-Free Camera Kit boasts a wide-angle lens that easily captures your entire room, wall-to-wall,
in high-denition 1080p. You will know what is happening day or night due to the built in night vision, motion and sound
detection features, which send notications to you via the mydlinkTM app. The rotatable head makes discrete installations
easy even on ceilings.
System Requirements
Network Requirements • Broadband Internet connection
• A router connected to your broadband modem
mydlink App Requirements
• iPhone, iPad, or Android smartphone or tablet (please refer to the
mobileapp’sstorepage tocheckwhether yourdeviceis compatible)
with Bluetooth 4.0 and above
• Email account (for mydlink service registration)
Optional Requirements • A microSD memory card (required for recording to onboard storage
slot in the hub). SDHC class 6 or above is recommended.

1Sync Button Press to start syncing the camera to the hub. Press to power on the camera from factory o state.

6Light Sensor Senses light to determine if night mode should be enabled.
7PIR Detector Window The PIR motion detector is behind this window. Senses motion to trigger recordings.
8Micro-USB Port Peel back the water-resistant cover and plug the supplied power connector here to charge the
camera's battery. Note: Please only plug in the camera in a dry location.

2microSD Slot microSD/SDHC/SDXC card slot. Supports up to v3.01 cards up to 128 GB.
3Reset Button Press and hold for 10 seconds while the hub is on to reset to factory default settings.
4LAN Port 10/100 Ethernet port. Connect this to a router to enable internet access.
5Sync Button Press to start the camera pairing process. Maximum duration 120 seconds. Also can be pressed to
stop the siren.
6Speaker Speaker for the siren feature. Single 100 dB tone.
7USB 2.0 Port USB port for external hard drive. Does not support USB ash drives.
8Power Button Press to turn power o/on. Down position is on, up position is o.
9Power Input Plug the included power adapter here. 12V / 1.5A.

Please read all of the safety and operating instructions before using device:
• Do not open the device or attempt to repair it.
• When the micro-USB power connector cover is opened, only operate the device in a dry location.
• Do not submerge anything in liquid or attempt to clean it with liquids or solvents. To clean the device, disconnect it from
the power outlet and use a damp towel to gently wipe it down.
Before you Begin
Plan the location of your camera:
• Fully charge the cameras before mounting. Do not charge the cameras outdoors.
• Make sure the cameras are placed in a location that have a consistent and adequate wireless signal to the hub.

Camera Placement Precautions
Caution:
Please make sure that the camera is not directly facing the
sun or a source of heat.
Proper Placement:
Place the camera at least 2.2 m (7 ft) or higher from the ground. The minimum recommended viewing distance for the
motion detection is 60 cm (24 in), and the maximum is 7.5 m (25 ft).
Note: The camera can be placed on a ceiling.
Improper Placement:
Do not place the camera directly on top of a surface or in a spot where there is something directly below it as this will
obstruct its view.

Identify and mark the location where you want to install the bracket,
assuring that it is at least 20 cm from the ceiling.
Mounting the Camera
1/
Using a 6 mm drill bit, drill a 25 mm deep hole over the mark. For a
plaster, drywall, or concrete wall, insert the plastic anchor to support
the screw rst.

Twist the supplied screw into the wall or anchor, making sure to
leave enough clearance between the screw head and the wall.

Align the screw with the largest hole on the snap mount. Slide the
mount down to lock it into place.

Attach the back of the camera to the mount. Adjust the angle as
desired.

Using a 6 mm drill bit, drill three 25 mm deep holes over the pencil marks. For a
plaster, drywall, or concrete wall, insert the plastic anchors to support the screws
rst.

Place the mount over the holes that are in the wall. Make sure to align the mount
holes with the holes in the wall. Use the supplied screws to attach the mount to
the surface of the wall.

Rotate the wing nut counterclockwise with your ngers to slightly loosen it.Then
move the bracket to the approximate desired position.

Screw the camera onto the mounting screw by tightening the plastic nger nut.

Adjust the angle of the arm on the mounting bracket
as required. Tighten the wing nut to lock the camera's position into place.

Installation
Connecting The Hub
Plug the supplied Ethernet cable from your router or gateway into the port marked 'LAN'.
Plug the power adapter into the hub. Make sure the power button is pressed down into the 'ON' position.

mydlink App Setup
Launch the mydlink app and create a new account or sign in to your
existing account.
Note: If you are asked about allowing the app to access your location, select Allow.
Make sure location services are turned on in your phone’s settings.

Download the mydlink app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play
(Android) by scanning the QR code.
Note: Ensure your device is connected wirelessly to the network that the
DCS-2802KT will be in.

After logging in, tap the Menu button in the top-left corner.

Using the mydlink App
Controlling Your Device
After setting up your cameras with a mydlink account in the mydlink app,
you will be able to remotely access your cameras through the app. After
signing into your mydlink account, you will see a screen similar to the
following.
If you have previously checked the Add to shortcut option while installing a
camera, you will see a quick link to your camera directly on the home screen.
Tap the shortcut link to your camera on the home screen and by default you
will see a live video feed of your camera on the top half of the app.
To access the settings for your camera, tap > Devices >
Camera.
In the selected device group page, you can select the specic
camera in the carousel by tapping its icon. Tap on it to access its
conguration page.
Note: Screenshots are representative only. The mydlink app is constantly improving and so
may appear dierent.

Camera Options
On the bottom half of the app you will see control options for your camera.
Snapshot Tap this button to take a snapshot of the video
stream.
Options Toggle Tap this icon to review various live video options
such as microphone and video quality.
Recording Tap this button to enable video stream recording.
Tap to toggle the Options menu.
Audio Tap to disable audio. Tap to enable audio.
1080p Video Resolution Live video is in 1080p resolution, this setting cannot be changed.
Tap-to-talk Tap and hold to send your voice to the camera's built-in speaker.
