LUBRICATION
OPERATION
Ifthetoolisnotusedwithanin-line lubricationsystemon
theairsupplyitisnecessarytoperiodicallylubricatethe
toolwithairtoollubrication.
USEONLY THEAIRTOOLLUBRICANTS SUPPLIEDWITH
THETOOL. Donotuse otherlubricantsastheymay
damagethetool.
Donotuse detergentoil,WD-40,transmissionfluid,motor
oil, orotherlubricantsnotspecificallydesignated as airtool
lubricants.Theselubricantswillcauseacceleratedwearto
theseals,o-rings,and bumpersinthe tool, resulting in
poortoolperformanceandfrequentmaintenance.

Followtheinstructionsbelowtoprepareyourtoolfor
operation.
All tooloperatorsand theirimmediatesupervisorsmust
becomefamiliarwiththe operatorsafetyinstructions
beforeoperatingthetool.
Includedwitheach toolareone copyofthese
Operating/SafetyInstructions. Keepthispublicationsfor
futurereference.
Install afilter,regulator,lubricatorunitandmoisturetrap
on yourairdeliverysystemperthemanufacturer's
instructionsforthesedevices.Additionally,installa
pressuregauge asclose aspracticaltothe tool,
preferablywithin10 feet.
Selecthoses withaminimuminnerdiameterof1/4
inchesandamaximumlengthof100 feet.

To reduce theriskofinjuryfromahosebursting,select
hosesthatareratedatleast200PSI.
Selectfittings thatareappropriatesizefortheselected
hoses.Thetool andairhosemusthaveahosecoupling
sothatall pressureisremovedfromthetoolwhenthe
couplingjointisdisconnected.
Neverusenonrelievingcouplersand/orfemalequick
disconnectcouplingsonthetool. Nonrelieving couplings
and femalecouplings willtraphighpressureairinthetool
whentheairlineisdisconnected.Thiswillleavethe tool
charged withenoughairafterithas been disconnected to
driveanail. OnlyMALEpneumatictypeairconnectors
shouldbefittedtothetool,sothathighpressureairinthe
toolisventedtoatmosphereas soonastheairlineis
disconnected.
SettheregulatorattheairdeliverysystemtoaPSIthat
fallswithinthe tool'soperating rangeof60-100PSI.The
correctpressureisthe lowestpressurethatwill dothe
job.

Beforeactuallybeginning thenailing work, testthetoolby
usingthecheck listbelow.Conductthetestinthefollowing
order.
Ifabnormaloperation occurs,stopusingthetooland
performedby qualifiedrepairpersonnelimmediately.

ofthemagazine. Ifthenailsarenotloadedproperly,the
toolwill misfireand nailscanbe deflected,causing thetool
toreactinanunexpected manner,anddamagethetool.

needstobe reloaded(FIG 9).When thetoolisloaded witha
nailstrip, theredindicatorbarswillno longerbevisiblein
theindicatorwindow.When nailsstripisconsumed,the
redindicatorbarswillstarttobecomevisible.Thetool
shouldbereloadedwhen theredindicatorbarishalfway
exposedinthe indicatorwindow.

METHODSOFOPERATION
Thistoolisequipped withthesafetyanddoes notoperate
unlessthesafetyisdepressed.
The methods ofoperationtodrivenailswiththistoolis
contactactuationmechanism.
Donotpressthetool againstthewoodwithexcessive
force.
Separatethe toolfromthe woodas itrecoilsafter
nailing.
WARNING
To avoiddoublefiringoraccidentalfiringduetorecoil.
1).Pull the triggerwiththetooloff theworkpiece.
2).Depress thesafetyagainsttheworkpiecetodrive anail.
3).Movethetoolalongthe workpiecewithabouncing
motion.Eachdepressionofthesafetywill driveanail.
Assonasthedesirednumberofnailshavebeendrive,
removefingerfromthe trigger.
Alwayshandlenailsandpackagecarefully.If nailsare
dropped,collatingbentmaybebroken,which willcause
mis-feeding and jamming.
Afternailing:
1).Disconnectairhosefromthe tool.
2).Remove allnailsfromthe tool.
3).Supply5-10dropsofpneumatictoollubricantinto
theairplug onthetool.
4).Open thepetcockon theaircompressortank todrain
any moisture.

topnoseplate(B)torevealthe jammedfastener.
Becautionnottobend ordamagethedriverblade,using
pliersorascrewdriverifrequiredtoclearthejammed
fastener.
Putthenoseplate(B)backonthe nose(C), fasteningit
withthe screws(A).
Reconnectthe tooltotheairresource.
Reload thetoolwithfastener.
When notinuse,the toolshouldbedisconnected and
storedinthestoragecase inawarmanddryplace.When
toolwillnotbeinuse foran extendedperiod,applyathin
coatofthelubricanttothesteelpartstoavoidrust.
