3/4"FootPlate(G).And an additionaluninstalled
5/8"footplate.Tochangethe plate:
Disconnectthetoolfrom theairsource.
Emptythe magazinecompletely.
Firethe toolintoapiece ofscrapwood to
ensurethereisno compressed airorfasteners
leftinthe tool.
Setthe toolon itsside toexpose thefour
Screws(H).
Removethe fourScrews(H),then,removethe
footplate.
Align the fourscrewholesinthereplacement
footplatewiththe fourthreadedmounting
holes.
Using the fourscrewsyou removedjustnow,
securethe replacementfootplatetothe tool.
Ensurethe correctFootPlateisinstalled by
firingintoascrappieceofflooringandchecking
forproperfastenerplacement.
Disconnectthetool fromtheairsource
wheneverchangingthefootplate.
Make surethereisnofastenerin the
magazinebeforechangingthefootplate.

Begintestingthe depthofdrive bydrivingatest
nailintothe sametypeofworkpiecematerial
usedfortheactualjob.
Driveatest fastenerwiththe airpressureset at
90-95psi.
Raise orlowertheairpressuretofindthelowest
setting thatwill performthe job withconsistent
results.

Ifanypartsaremissing, do notoperate

Attachthe tooltotheairsource.Startyour
compressorandcheck the pressure,making
sureitissetbetween 70-115psi.Donotexceed
the maximum120psi
HoldtheArm(A)securelyandpressFoot
Plate(G)totheworksurface.Makesurethe
plateisoverthefastenertargetposition.
Pressdownhardsothatthe FootPlate(G)is
firmlycontacting the worksurface.Then,using
the malletpacketwiththe tool,strikethe
HammerCap(I)firmlytodrivethe fastenerinto
worksurface.Liftthetoolofftheworksurface.
Repeatthisprocess untilthe jobiscompleted.
When finished, makesuretostorethetoolina
clean, dry, safelocationout of reach of children
andotherunauthorizedpeople.

Occasionally,fastenersmay become jammedin
the firingmechanism ofthetool,makingthe tool
inoperable.Toremove ajammed fastener,follow
the steps below:
Makesurethereisnofastenerinthe
magazinebeforeclearingajam.

Emptythe magazine.Makesureallfasteners

Trytofirethe toolintoapieceof scrap woodor
flooring tomakesurethat it'sincapableoffiring
anyfasteners.
Setthe toolon itssidetoexposethe Nose
Bolts(J).
RemoveNoseBolts(J)andDriverGuide(K)to
expose thejammedfastener.
Removejammed fastener,using plierora
screwdriverifrequired.
ReplacetheDriverGuide(K)andNoseBolts(J).
Reconnecttooltothe airsource,then reloadthe
toolwithfasteners.
Pressthe Drive Guide (K)againstapiece of
wood,and testfirethefastenersseveraltimesto
checkforproperoperation.If the toolisproperly
firing,you maycontinueusing thetool.Ifthe tool
failstoperformproperly,immediately
discontinueuse and havethe toolrepaired by a
qualifiedservicetechnician.

Lubricatetoolonlywithspecified
lubricants.
CAUTION:
LUBRICATION
Frequent,butnotexcessive, lubrication isrequired
forbestperformance.Oilforthetooladdedthrough
the airline connectionaddwilllubricatetheinternal
parts.Donotdetergentoil oradditives as these
lubricantswillcauseacceleratedweartothe seals
andbumpersinthe tool,resultinginpoortool
performance andfrequenttoolmaintenance.
Disconnectthe airsupplyfromthe tooltoadd
lubricant.

Turnthetoolsotheairinletisfacingup.Place
2-3drops ofpneumaticfasteningtooloilintoair
inlet.Donotusedetergentoils,oiladditives,or
air-tooloilsas theselubricantswillcause
accelerated weartothe sealsand bumpersin
the tool,resulting inpoortoolperformanceand
frequenttoolmaintenance.

Afteraddingoil,run toolbriefly.Wipe offany
excessoilfromthe cap exhaust.
