TherearetwofunctionplugsonthebottomofeachEliteDakotaMicrocamera,nearthecamera
tail.Theywilllookliketwoadditionalscrewsataslightanglerecessedintothecamerabody.The
functionplugsutilizeapolarizedmagnettochangecamerafunctionality.
1) IRON/OFF.ThisfunctionplugrequiresamagnettoallowfortheIRLED’stofunctionin
lowlightconditions.Ifyouremovethepolarizedmagnet,theIRLED’swillNOTcomeon.
2) MIR/FOR.Thisfunctionrequiresamagnettoactivate/deactivatethemirror/forward
functionofthecamera.ElitecamerasareshippedfromthefactorywiththeMIRmagnet
installed.
TemporaryMounting:
Fortemporarymounting,itisrecommendedthatyouusethesupplied65#pullmagnet.Ifusing
magneticmount,fastencameracablewithaziptieorotherstylefastener.Thiswillactasa“safety
wire”intheeventyourcameraisknockedlooseforsomereason.Whenselectingalocation,make
surethattheequipmentsurfaceiscleanofallforeignmaterialandasflataspossibletoensurethatthe
magneticcamerabasewillhavegoodcontactandnotvibrateoff.

PermanentMounting:
Forpermanentmounting,itisrecommendedthatyouremovethemagnetandattachtoanysolid
surfacewithtwo(2)screws.
Aftercameraissecurelymounted,plugpower/videoinputintoAgCam®extensionpower/videocable.Make
suretheyaresecurelyattachedandlocked(¼turnwilllockthecablestogether).
SuggestionsforMountingCamera:
Whendeterminingthelocationforthecameraitisalwaysbesttouseasolidsurfacetominimizevibration.
Laddersarenotgoodmountingchoicesduetolackofstability.
IfyouwillbeusingyourAgCam®forassistinginvisibilityfortowing,youwillwanttopositionthecameraso
youcanseethedesiredareaandaportionofthevehicle/trailerintow;thiswillgiveyousomereferenceto
distance.YouwillalsowanttousethemirroredsettinginthemonitormenuorremovethemagnetintheMIR
functionplugonthecamerasoastoaccuratelyrepresentleftandright.Thiswillgiveyoutheeffectoflooking
inarearviewmirror.
CameraWarnings
NEVERRELYONYOURAGCAM®ASASAFETYFEATURE.Itisuptoyourdiscretiontokeepyourroad
travelandotheroperationssafe.YourAgCam®willprovideyouwithinformationonlybasedonwhat
itsees.Operationofmachinerysafetyguidelinesstillapply.
TheAgCam®isequippedwithanarrayofinfraredlightemitterswhichareinvisibletothehumaneye.
Thisfeaturewillaidinlowlightconditionsbuthaslimitations.Theeffectiverangeofthenightvision
featureis1to45+feetandwillproduceamonochromeimageonly.Donotattempttodrive
machineryusingthisfeature.

Therearetwo(2)lengthsofcablewithyourcamerasystem:One(1)20’andone(1)60’.Ifyouwouldliketo
purchasedifferentoradditionalcablelengths,pleasecontactyourdealerwhereyoupurchasedyourAgCam®.
CableWarnings
Cableroutingisimportant.Whereyouchoosetorunthecablesshouldnotinterferewiththenormal
operationofthemachineoranysafetyequipment.
ALWAYSbeawareofany“pinchpoints”orotherpotentialhazardstothecable.
Secureallcablestovehicle/equipmentusingcableclips,ziptiesorotherstylefastener.
IfyouintendtouseyourAgCam®forshortlengthPTOoperatedimplement,avoidexcesscablelengths
ifpossible.Whenyoudecideonalocationyoushouldfixthecameratoapermanentbracketusing¼
inchbolts,andattachanyloosecablesecurelysothereisnochanceofentanglementinthePTOor
othermovingparts.
IfyouuseyourAgCam®tomonitoracombinehopperorothercombineoperations,takecareto
rememberthatcombineshavemanymovingparts.Useextremecarewhenroutingcables,anditis
stronglyrecommendedthatyouuseboltstosecurethecamera.Whileitwouldbesufficienttousethe
magneticbaseformonitoringpurposesduringroadtravel,itisadvisedtosecurethecamerawithbolts
duringoperationofthecombine.

EighteenMonths(18)forallOverviewCameras&Monitorsandone(1)yearforMiniDVR,cablesandallother
accessories.
TheDakotaMicrolimitedwarrantyperiodsoutlinedaboveapplythroughouttheUnitedStatesandCanadaonly.A
one(1)yearmaximumlimitedwarrantyforallProductsappliestoallothergeographiclocationsunlessotherwise
statedinwritingbyDakotaMicro.
Thislimitedwarrantydoesnotapplytoanyissuesconnectedwithappearancethathavenorelationtothe
performanceoftheProductnortoanyProducttheexteriorofwhichhasbeendamagedordefaced,whichhasbeen
subjectedtoimpropervoltageorothermisuse,abnormalserviceorhandling,orwhichhasbeenalteredormodified
indesignorconstruction.
