SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) whose physical, sensory or
mental capabilities may be different or reduced,
or who lack experience or knowledge, unless such
persons receive supervision or training to operate
the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
Do not store or use combustible materials such as
gasoline or other flammable vapors or liquids in the
vicinity of this or any other appliance.
Do not insert fingers or other objects into grills or
openings in the appliance.
Do not cover or block the intake and exhaust
openings.
Do not operate the appliance without the filter
installed.
Do not operate the appliance near heat sources.
This appliance is intended for indoor, residential
applications only. Do not use this appliance
outdoors. Do not use this appliance for commercial
or industrial applications.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Do not connect the appliance to extension cords,
adapters or together with another appliance in the
same wall outlet.
Do not splice the power cord. Do not under any
circumstances cut or remove the third ground prong
from the power cord.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similar qualified person in order to avoid hazard.
To avoid risk of electric shock, do not operate this
appliance in an area that is likely to accumulate
standing water. If this condition develops, disconnect
the power supply before stepping into the water.
This appliance complies with the maximum
allowable concentration of ozone of 0.05 parts per
million by volume in a 24 hour period. The Health
Canada Guideline 2010 recommends that the
maximum exposure limit, based on an average of 8
hours, is 0.02 ppmv or less when tested in a sealed,
controlled room approximately 30 m3.

FILTER INSTALLATION
Ensure that the filter is properly installed before
using the appliance.
1. Remove the filter from the back of the appliance.
2. Remove the packaging from the filter.
3. Replace the filter in the appliance. Ensure
that the arrow is on the top of the filter and is
pointing into the appliance.

LOCATION
To achieve the most efficient results and allow for
proper air flow, keep the appliance at least 30 cm
(12 inches) away from all walls and furniture.
To avoid interference from metal objects, keep the
appliance at least 50 cm (20 inches) away from
metal objects and electrical appliances.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CONTROL PANEL
1. Power button: Press to turn the appliance on or
off.
2. Fan button: Press to set the fan speed. Options
will cycle through Low, Mid, High and Turbo.
3. Timer button: Press to set the timer. The timer will
turn off the fan after a set amount of time and
can be set to 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours
or off.
4. Sleep and filter button: Press to start the sleep
function.
5. Ionizer button:
• Press to activate the ionizer function.
• Press and hold for 3 seconds to reset the filter
Sleep Function
The sleep function will set the appliance to the
lowest fan setting to provide the quietest experience
during sleeping hours. This function will also dim the
lights on the control panel.
Ionizer Function
The Ionizer Function is a form of air purification that
negatively charges the air. Dust particles, pollen
and other particles in the air cannot pass through
the filter when they are negatively charged. This
ensures that the maximum amount of dust and dirt
are removed from the air. Additionally, the ionizer
function helps to remove unwanted odors from the
air.
Lock Function
To lock the control panel, press and hold the fan
button and the timer button at the same time until
the “lock” indicator light illuminates. When the
control panel is locked, buttons will not respond and
the settings cannot be changed. Press the fan button
and the timer button at the same time to unlock the
control panel.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
• Unplug the appliance before cleaning or
servicing.
• Clean the cabinet with a lukewarm damp cloth
and neutral detergent. Dry the cabinet with a
lint-free dry cloth.
• Do not use gasoline, paint thinner or other
chemicals to clean the appliance.
• Do not wash the appliance directly under a tap
or using a hose. It may cause electrical damage.
AIR FILTER
The air filter should be cleaned when the filter
light on the control panel illuminates. Unplug the
appliance before removing or cleaning the filter.
The filter can be cleaned with a brush or vacuum.
Do not use water on the filter as the plastic can
deform.
Install the filter in the appliance, then press and hold
the ionizer button for 3 seconds to reset the filter.
In households with pets or smokers, the filter may
need to be cleaned more often to remove smells.
Replacement filters can be purchased at www.
Danby.com or by calling consumer care at 1-800-
263-2629.
NOTE: Replacement filters are not covered under
warranty and must be purchased separately.
DISPOSAL
This appliance should not be treated as regular
household waste. Check for local regulatory
compliance regarding the approved and safe
disposal of this appliance.

This quality product is warranted to be free from manufacturer’s defects in material and workmanship, provided that the unit is used under the normal operating
conditions intended by the manufacturer.
This warranty is available only to the person to whom the unit was originally sold by Danby Products Limited (Canada) or Danby Products Inc. (U.S.A.) (hereafter
“Danby”) or by an authorized distributor of Danby, and is non-transferable.
TERMS OF WARRANTY
Plastic parts, are warranted for thirty (30) days only from purchase date, with no extensions provided.
First Year
During the rst twelve (12) months, any functional parts of this product found to be defective, will be repaired or replaced, at warrantor’s
option, at no charge to the ORIGINAL purchaser.

Danby reserves the right to limit the boundaries of “In Home Service” to the proximity of an Authorized Service Depot. Any app liance

If service is performed on the units by anyone other than an authorized service depot, or the unit is used for commercial appli cation, all

authorized distributors and all other warranties, conditions, representations or guarantees, including any warranties, conditio ns, representations or guarantees
under any Sale of Goods Act or like legislation or statue is hereby expressly excluded. Save as herein provided, Danby shall no t be responsible for any damages
to persons or property, including the unit itself, howsoever caused or any consequential damages arising from the malfunction o f the unit and by the purchase of
the unit, the purchaser does hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Danby from any claim for damages to persons or propert y caused by the unit.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
No warranty or insurance herein contained or set out shall apply when damage or repair is caused by any of the following:
1) Power failure.
2) Damage in transit or when moving the appliance.
3) Improper power supply such as low voltage, defective house wiring or inadequate fuses.
4) Accident, alteration, abuse or misuse of the appliance such as inadequate air circulation in the room or abnormal operating con ditions
(extremely high or low room temperature).
5) Use for commercial or industrial purposes (ie. If the appliance is not installed in a domestic residence).
6) Fire, water damage, theft, war, riot, hostility, acts of God such as hurricanes, oods etc.
7) Service calls resulting in customer education.
8) Improper Installation (ie. Building-in of a free standing appliance or using an appliance outdoors that is not approved for out door application).
Proof of purchase date will be required for warranty claims; so, please retain bills of sale. In the event warranty service is required, present this document to our
AUTHORIZED SERVICE DEPOT.

In-home
Transportation charges to and from the service location are not protected by this warranty and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
During the first twenty four (24) months, any functional parts of this product found to be defective, will be repaired
or replaced, at warrantor’s option, at no charge to the original purchaser.

INSTRUCTIONS D’INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION DU FILTRE
Assurez-vous que le filtre est correctement installé
avant d’utiliser l’appareil.
1. Retirez le filtre à l’arrière de l’appareil.
2. Retirez l’emballage du filtre.
3. Remplacez le filtre dans l’appareil. Assurez-vous
que la flèche est sur le haut du filtre et pointe
vers l’appareil.

EMPLACEMENT
Pour obtenir les résultats les plus efficaces et
permettre une circulation d’air adéquate, maintenez
l’appareil à au moins 30 cm (12 pouces) de tous les
murs et meubles.
Pour éviter toute interférence avec des objets
métalliques, maintenez l’appareil à au moins 50 cm
(20 pouces) des objets métalliques et des appareils
électriques.

PANNEAU DE CONTRÔLE
1. Bouton d’alimentation: Appuyez pour allumer
ou éteindre l’appareil.
2. Bouton du ventilateur: Appuyez sur pour régler
la vitesse du ventilateur. Les options parcourront
les niveaux bas, moyen, haut et turbo.
3. Bouton de minuterie: Appuyez sur pour régler
la minuterie. La minuterie éteint le ventilateur
après un certain temps et peut être réglée
sur 1 heure, 2 heures, 4 heures, 8 heures ou
désactivé.
4. Sleep and filter button: Appuyez sur pour
démarrer la fonction de veille.
5. Bouton d’ionisation:
• Appuyez sur pour activer la fonction ioniseur.
• Appuyez et maintenez pendant 3 secondes pour
réinitialiser le filtre.
Fonction de dormir
La fonction de dormir règle l’appareil sur le réglage
de ventilateur le plus bas pour offrir l’expérience
la plus silencieuse pendant les heures de sommeil.
Cette fonction va également diminuer l’intensité des
lumières sur le panneau de contrôle.
Fonction d’ionisation
La fonction ioniseur est une forme de purification de
l’air qui charge négativement l’air. Les particules de
poussière, le pollen et les autres particules dans l’air
ne peuvent pas passer à travers le filtre lorsqu’elles
sont chargées négativement. Cela garantit que la
quantité maximale de poussière et de saleté est
éliminée de l’air. De plus, la fonction ioniseur aide à
éliminer les odeurs indésirables de l’air.
Fonction de verrouillage
Pour verrouiller le panneau de commande, appuyez
et maintenez le bouton du ventilateur et le bouton
de la minuterie en même temps jusqu’à ce que le
voyant “verrouillage” s’allume. Lorsque le panneau
de commande est verrouillé, les boutons ne
répondent pas et les paramètres ne peuvent pas être
modifiés. Appuyez en même temps sur le bouton
du ventilateur et sur le bouton de la minuterie pour
déverrouiller le panneau de commande.
SOIN ET MAINTENANCE
NETTOYAGE
• Débranchez l’appareil avant de le nettoyer ou
de l’entretenir.
• Nettoyez le boîtier avec un chiffon humide tiède
et un détergent neutre. Séchez le boîtier avec un
chiffon sec non pelucheux.
• N’utilisez pas d’essence, de diluant à peinture
ou d’autres produits chimiques pour nettoyer
l’appareil.
• Ne pas laver l’appareil directement sous un
robinet ou avec un tuyau. Cela pourrait causer
des dommages électriques.
FILTRE À AIR
Le filtre à air doit être nettoyé lorsque le voyant
du panneau de commande s’allume. Débranchez
l’appareil avant d’enlever ou de nettoyer le filtre.
Le filtre peut être nettoyé avec une brosse ou un
aspirateur. Ne pas utiliser d’eau sur le filtre car le
plastique peut se déformer.
Installez le filtre dans l’appareil, puis appuyez sur
le bouton de l’ioniseur et maintenez-le enfoncé
pendant 3 secondes pour réinitialiser le filtre.
Dans les ménages avec des animaux de compagnie
ou des fumeurs, le filtre peut avoir besoin d’être
nettoyé plus souvent pour éliminer les odeurs.
Les filtres de remplacement peuvent être achetés sur
www.Danby.com ou en appelant les services aux
consommateurs au 1-800-263-2629.
REMARQUE: Les filtres de remplacement ne sont
pas couverts par la garantie et doivent être achetés
séparément.

INSTALACIÓN DEL FILTRO
Asegúrese de que el filtro esté instalado
correctamente antes de usar el dispositivo.
1. Retire el filtro de la parte posterior del
dispositivo.

PANEL DE CONTROL
1. Botón de encendido: Presione para encender o
apagar el dispositivo.
2. Botón de ventilador: Presione para configurar
la velocidad del ventilador. Las opciones se
desplazarán a través de bajo, medio, alto y
turbo.
3. Botón de temporizador: Presione para
configurar el temporizador. El temporizador
apagará el ventilador después de un período de
tiempo establecido y se puede configurar en 1
hora, 2 horas, 4 horas, 8 horas o apagado.
4. Botón de dormir y filtro: Presione para iniciar la
función de dormir.
5. Botón ionizador:
• Presione para activar la función del ionizador.
• Mantenga presionado durante 3 segundos para
restablecer el filtro.
Función de dormir
La función de dormir configurará el dispositivo
con la configuración de ventilador más baja para
proporcionar la experiencia más silenciosa durante
las horas de sueño. Esta función también atenuará
las luces en el panel de control.
Función de ionizador
La función del ionizador es una forma de
purificación del aire que carga negativamente
el aire. Las partículas de polvo, polen y otras
partículas en el aire no pueden pasar a través
del filtro cuando están cargadas negativamente.
Esto asegura que la máxima cantidad de polvo y
suciedad se elimina del aire. Además, la función
del ionizador ayuda a eliminar los olores no
deseados del aire.
Función de bloqueo
Para bloquear el panel de control, mantenga
presionado el botón del ventilador y el botón del
temporizador al mismo tiempo hasta que se ilumine
la luz indicadora de “bloqueo”. Cuando el panel de
control está bloqueado, los botones no responden
y la configuración no se puede cambiar. Presione
el botón del ventilador y el botón del temporizador
al mismo tiempo para desbloquear el panel de
control.
CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
LIMPIEZA
• Desenchufe el aparato antes de limpiarlo o
repararlo.
• Limpie el gabinete con un paño húmedo tibio
y detergente neutro. Seque el gabinete con un
paño seco sin pelusa.
• No use gasolina, diluyente de pintura ni otros
productos químicos para limpiar el aparato.
• No lave el aparato directamente debajo de un
grifo ni con una manguera. Puede causar daño
eléctrico.
FILTRO DE AIRE
El filtro de aire debe limpiarse cuando se ilumina la
luz del filtro en el panel de control. Desenchufe el
aparato antes de quitar o limpiar el filtro.
El filtro se puede limpiar con un cepillo o una
aspiradora. No use agua en el filtro ya que el
plástico se puede deformar.
Instale el filtro en el aparato, luego presione y
mantenga presionado el botón del ionizador
durante 3 segundos para restablecer el filtro.
En hogares con mascotas o fumadores, es posible
que sea necesario limpiar el filtro con más
frecuencia para eliminar los olores.
