The first step aer unpacking the bike is the
front wheel assembly. Aer completing the
first step, install the dropper seat post with the
shier in accordance with the manufacturer’s
manual:

Always use a SHIMANO genuine tool when removing and inserting electric cables.
2.1 Connection of the electric cable
Connect the electric cable to the E-TUBE port.

Align the plug of the electric cable with the SHIMANO
original tool. If there is an adjustment tab on the elec-
tric cable plug, align it with the groove on the SHIMA-
NO original tool.
2.2. Disconnection of the electric cable
Remove the electric cable.

Put the original Shimano tool into the groove on the
electric cable plug.
2. Disconnect the electric cable from the e-Tube socket.

CAUTION: When connecting and disconnecting the electric cable, do not force the plug to bend it. This can
result in poor connection quality.
CAUTION: Do not repeat the operation of connect-
ing and disconnecting the electric cable too oen.
The connector can be used or deformed, which can
aect on lack of water resistance and good quality
connection.
According to the figure above, use the (A) parts of
the original Shimano tool as a rotating support and
move like a lever, then disconnect it. If the amount
of space for setting up the tool is limited, put the
original Shimano tool up and disconnect the elec-
tric cable.

Insert the plug of the electric cable into the E-TUBE
slot. Push it straight in until you feel a click.
