EGeneral Safety Precautions
• The ShopPro is only approved for use with diesel fuel.
It is not approved for use with gasoline or any other
ammable liquids.
• Read all instructions before use to avoid injury. To avoid
serious injury or death, follow the safety information in
this document.
• Keep this manual. If you need to replace the manual,
call customer service at -- or visit www.davco.
com for a replacement.
• Read all product safety labels.
• Refer to appropriate regulations for environmental and
workplace safety rules.
• The ignition key must be in the o position, unless oth-
erwise directed. To avoid unintentional engine startup,
use a lockout key and⁄or signage to alert personnel that
work is being performed.
• Do not leave the ShopPro running unattended. Always
disconnect the power supply when the ShopPro is not
in use.
• Avoid fuel spillage. When disconnecting attachments
wrap a shop rag around the tting to catch any residual
fuel.
EWARNING: To prevent personal injury
• Eye Protection: Proper eye protection must be worn
when operating the ShopPro. In case of contact, rinse
immediately with plenty of water, including under the
eyelids, for at least minutes. Consult a doctor.
• Inhalation: Always perform engine or vehicle fuel sys-
tem maintenance in a well ventilated area that is kept
free of bystanders. In case of inhalation, get some fresh
air. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
• Skin contact: Use gloves to avoid skin contact. Wash o
immediately with plenty of water. If symptoms persist,
consult a doctor.
• Scalding hazard: When diesel fuel is circulated through
an operating engine, it can become very hot. Use care
when working with hot fuel.
• Fire Prevention: Heated fuel can form combustible
vapor mixtures in the area around the fuel source.
To eliminate the potential for re, keep open ames,
sparks or other potential ignition sources away from
the work area. Do not smoke during lter replacement
or service operations.
EFuel System Precautions:
• Follow engine manufacturer guidelines for proper
priming procedures.
• Dirt or debris in the fuel system can lead to severe
engine damage.
• Blocking and⁄or clamping the fuel pipes can lead to
severe engine damage.
• Do not operate engine with injector leak circuit
plugged. Damage to injectors may result.
• Never block or plug the common rail release valve
output, this can lead to severe rail and common rail
pressure release valve damage.
• Immediately plug the openings.
• Clean the area before performing maintenance.
• Prevent fuel from leaking or dripping onto the starter
motor.
• Check the fuel components for leakage very carefully.
