1. Disassemble the toner cartridge, starting from the lock
position.
2. Use a small flat head screwdriver to lift the tab over the
stopper to allow you to turn the blue end cap
counter-clockwise.
NOTE: The color of the end cap will vary, depending on the
color of the toner inside the cartridge.
3. This is the starting point. 4. Turn the cap until the tab comes to a complete stop and has
entered under the blue cap.

5. Now slide the cap out away from the cartridge. 6. Remove the carrier fill plug as shown.
7. Shown is the waste carrier chamber. Empty it out and you
will find the toner fill plug inside. Remove the plug and clean
out the cartridge for refilling.
NOTE: You will need to mix toner and carrier in the same toner
bottle before refilling the toner hopper.
REPLACING THE OEM CHIP
8. Using a small flat head screwdriver, unlock the chip by
pressing on the release tab in the slot shown.

9. Make sure the replacement chip tabs enter the slots during
insertion so that they lock in place.
10. Replacement chip installed.
TROUBLESHOOTING DEFECTS DUE TO CARTRIDGE REMANUFACTURING
Problem:
Printer is not reading/not recognizing the cartridge.
Details:
The machine reads the amount of waste carrier-toner located on the waste hopper bin. If the waste hopper bin compartment is
full, the machine might read that the toner cartridge is empty and thus, showing a “toner low” message. After refilling, follow these
simple steps to continue printing:
Suggestion:
1. Turn OFF the printer for 3 to 5 minutes, and turn it back ON again.
2. Once the printer is ON, remove the cartridge from the printer, shake and install it again.
3. If steps 1 and 2 did not work, remove the cartridge and empty any carrier-toner left on the waste hopper bin.
