nDo not touch hot surfaces. Use potholders when
removing or handling hot containers.
nTo protect against risk of electrical shock, do not
place cord, plug or heating base in water or any
other liquid.
nAlways unplug when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before cleaning.
nTurn the unit OFF before unplugging. Unit must be
OFF before plugging into wall outlet.
nDo not use an extension cord with this unit.
nDo not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp
the plug, not the cord.
nDo not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
nCAUTION: The warming surface will remain warm
after the unit is turned off.
nAlways unplug the unit before attempting to move
it. Extreme caution must be used when moving
appliances containing hot liquids.
nThe Deni Chip and Dip Tray has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a
polarized outlet only one way,as a safety
feature. Reverse the plug if the plug does not fully
fit in the outlet. Contact a qualified electrician if it
still does not fit. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using this electrical appliance, safety
precautions should always be observed, including
the following:
nREAD ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS.
nDo not use outdoors or on a wet surface.
nClose supervision is necessary when used near
children.
nPlace the Heated Chip and Dip Tray securely in the
center of the counter or work space.
nUse only as described in this manual with provided
attachments. The use of accessoryattachments not
recommended by manufacturer may cause injury.
nDo not use with damaged cordor plug. If the
appliance is not working as it should, has been
dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped
into water, returnit to Keystone Manufacturing
Company, Inc. for proper service and replacement
or repair.
nDo not do the following: pull or carryby the cord,
use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, pull
cord around sharp edges or corners, let cord hang
over edge of counter, operate appliance over cord.
Keep cord away from heated surface.
nDo not place near hot gas, electric burner or in a
heated oven.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Important: During the first few minutes of initial use,
you may notice smoke and/or a slight odor. This is
normal and should quickly disappear. It will not recur
after the appliance has been used a few more times.
1. Remove all packing materials and literature.
2. Wash the plastic chip tray and stoneware bowl in
warm soapy water. Rinse well and dry thoroughly.
3. Wipe interior and exterior surfaces of the heating
base with a soft, clean, damp cloth.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE BASE, CORD OR PLUG
IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
HOW TO OPERATE
1. Preheat or cook the ingredients until they have
reached the desired temperature. You may pre
heat using the stoneware bowl (see safeguards on
next page) or by heating in another dish and
transferring to the stoneware bowl after preheated
in another dish.
2. Place the plastic chip tray over the heating base.
3. Using a potholder or oven mitt, place the
stoneware bowl with heated ingredients onto the
heated base. Use caution when handling hot
stoneware.

nContainers are designed for use with this
appliance only. They must never be used on a
range top. Do not set a hot container on a wet
or cold surface. Do not use a cracked container.
nThis unit is recommended for household, indoor
use only.

4. Plug the heating base into the wall outlet.
5. Slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
The heating base will keep your ingredients at
aconsistent temperature for serving.
6. To refill stoneware, slide the ON/OFF switch to the
“OFF” position. Lift the stoneware bowl from the
base using a potholder or oven mitt. USE
CAUTION as the base is still hot.
7. Repeat steps 1-5.
Caution should be taken after stoneware is removed
for refilling or cleaning. The metal heating surface
will be HOT to the touch and could cause serious
injury, including burns. Turn the switch to the OFF
position to allow the unit to completely cool before
handling after use.
CARE OF STONEWARE BOWL
Like any ceramic, the stoneware cooking pot may
crack of break if not properly handled.
Failure to follow these instructions can cause breakage
resulting in injuryor property damage.
To prevent damage:
nAll stoneware is breakable. Handle with care.
nALWAYS USE POTHOLDERS WHEN HANDLING
HOT STONEWARE.
nDO NOT place hot stoneware on counter. Use
protective trivet.
nDO NOT place stonewarecookware base on any
range top burner, under a broiler, microwave
browning element, or in a toaster oven.
nDO NOT strike utensils against rim to dislodge
food.
nDO NOT use stoneware cookware to pop corn,
caramelize sugar, or make candy.
nDO NOT use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or
any object that will scratch the stoneware.
nDO NOT use or repair any item that is chipped,
cracked, or broken.
nDO NOT use stoneware pot for reheating foods
or for general food storage.
nAlways place foods into the stoneware pot when
it is at room temperature; then place pot into base
before turning it on.

nNEVER heat the stoneware pot when it is empty.
USE: The stoneware insert can be used in
conventional, convection and microwave ovens,
in the refrigerator, freezer and in the dishwasher.
CARE: The stoneware insert may be washed by hand
or in a dishwasher. Load carefully to avoid
stoneware-to-stoneware contact and bumping
against other items during cycle.
DO NOT allow stonewarecookwareto soak/stand in
water for an extended period of time. Applied heat
after soaking may cause glaze crazing. If scouring is
necessary, use only plastic or nylon cleaning pads with
nonabrasive cleaners.
nNever subject the cooking pot to sudden changes
in temperature. NEVER place it where it can come
in contact with direct heat (e.g., on top of a range
or under a broiler).
nWhen removing the stoneware pot from a
microwave, be sure to use potholders or oven
mitts.
nAlways use potholders or oven mitts when
removing stoneware pot from base. Do not set
stonewarepot directly on counter top or table;
use a trivet or hot pad.
nUnplug unit and allow to cool after use.
Do not pour cold water into hot stoneware
cooking pot.
CARE OF PLASTIC TRAY:
To prevent cracking or breaking, the plastic chip
tray should be treated with special care.
CAUTIONS: Plastic chip tray may break if
dropped. Chips, cracks or deep scratches may
weaken the tray. The plastic chip tray is
dishwasher safe, but it is recommended for the
TOP RACK ONLY.
NEVER place the Plastic Tray in the microwave or
conventional ovens, or on a range or burner.
PRECAUTIONS
nAlways unplug unit and allow to cool before
cleaning.
nAlways handle stoneware carefully. Avoid
hitting pot against faucet or other hard
surfaces.
nDo not touch sides of the base while food is
cooking. Always use carewhen handling the
base. Use potholders or oven mitts to lift the
stoneware.

TO CLEAN:
This appliance should be cleaned after every use.
After unit has been allowed to cool, wash the
stoneware in warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry.
If food sticks to the surface of the stoneware, fill the
pot with warm, soapy water and allow it to sit for a
few hours before cleaning. Wipe interior and exterior
surfaces of the base with a soft, slightly damp cloth or
sponge.
The plastic chip tray is dishwasher safe (TOP RACK
ONLY), however,we recommend washing with warm
soapy water.Rinse well and dry.
NEVER IMMERSE THE BASE IN WATER.
NEVER USE ABRASIVE CLEANSERS OR SOURING
PADS TO CLEAN THE TRAY, STONEWARE OR BASE
AS THESE CAN DAMAGE THE SURFACES.
Dishwasher Cleaning
Stoneware and plastic chip tray may be cleaned in an
automatic dishwasher. To prevent damage, position
them on the TOP RACK and position them so they will
not hit other items during cleaning.
Special Cleaning
If stoneware becomes stained, clean with a
non-abrasive cleanser or apply a paste of baking soda
with a soft cloth. To remove water spots or mineral
deposits, wipe with distilled white vinegar, or pour a
small amount into pot and let it soak. After cleaning,
wash pot in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry.
TO STORE:
Be sureall parts areclean and dry before storing.
Storethe appliance in its box or in a clean, dryplace.
Never storeit while it is hot or wet. Tostore,
stonewarepot inside the heating base. Never wrap
cord tightly around the appliance; keep it loosely
coiled.

Your Deni Heated Chip and Dip Tray warranted for one year from date of
purchase or receipt against all defects in material and workmanship. Should your
appliance prove defective within one year from date of purchase or receipt, return
the unit, freight prepaid, along with an explanation of the claim. If purchased in
the U.S.A. or other country, please send to: Keystone Manufacturing Company,
Inc., 33 Norris Street, Buffalo, NY 14207. If purchased in Canada, please send to:
Keystone Manufacturing Company,Inc., 151 Cushman Road, St. Catharines,
Ontario L2M 6T4. (Please package your appliance carefully in its original box and

found to be defective.
This warranty is only valid if the appliance is used solely for household
purposes in accordance with the instructions. This warranty is invalid if the unit
is connected to an unsuitable electrical supply, or dismantled or interfered with in
any way or damaged through misuse.
