2 How the CO2solenoid valve works
The Dennerle CO2solenoid valve enables automatic
control of the CO2supply in either of two ways, thereby
saving valuable CO2:
AWith a time switch*:
The time switch cuts off the supply of CO2overnight, as
aquarium plants do not require any CO2during the night.
T P: Simply connect the CO2solenoid valve to the time
switch which controls your aquarium lighting.
B
With a Dennerle pH controller or aquarium computer*:
This controller continuously measures the pH value in the
aquarium and controls the required supply of CO2
automatically with electronic precision

3 Installation
• Fit CO2solenoid valve in the hose of the CO2fertilizer system according to example set-up A or B. Note correct flow direction as indicated by arrow on
housing! Secure hose connections with coupling rings.
IM ORTANT: The hose between pressure reducer and solenoid valve must have a compressive strength of at least 5 bar.
Unsuitable hoses may burst. We recommend the special Softflex CO2hose from Dennerle, pressure-proof to 7 bar (art. no. 3060).
T P: The hose between pressure reducer and solenoid valve should be as short as possible, as a certain pressure builds up in the hose when
the valve is closed. The shorter the hose, the smaller the quantity of CO2that will enter into the aquarium directly on opening the valve.
• Use the holding bracket to secure the solenoid valve on a suitable point of the base cabinet.
• Connect mains plug to time switch, pH controller or aquarium computer. When the CO2is supplied with power, it is open and CO2flows.
Please also observe the instructions for use of the other components belonging to your CO2fertilizer system.
4 The right amount of CO2
For magnificent plant growth, Dennerle recommends a CO2level in the aquarium of between 15 and 30 mg/l, whereby 20 to 25 mg/l is ideal.Rule of thumb
for the basic setting: Begin at approx. 10 bubbles per minute per 100 l of aquarium water, i.e. 2 x 10 = 20 bubbles per minute for a 200 l aquarium.
Check the CO2supply and the CO2content level in the aquarium water regularly, adjusting the CO2supply rate as necessary. lease note: Should it be necessary
to increase the CO2supply rate, this should only be done slowly, increasingly the level gradually over several days! rofessional tip from
Dennerle: The CO2long-term test Correct from Dennerle provides the simplest means of measuring the CO2content. When the test shows a GREEN reading,
the water contains exactly the right level of CO2. No other devices or water measurements are required in order to determine the CO2content!
5 Special information
• Do not screw the CO2solenoid valve onto thin wooden panels or similar, as these may act as a sounding board and cause humming noises.
• The CO2solenoid valve is only to be used in combination with genuine pressure reducers, such as the Compact, Professional and Exclusive pressure reducers from
Dennerle. Simple throttle valves are not permissible, as the maximum permissible operating pressure of 5 bar may be exceeded.
• The solenoid valve should always be protected from the corrosive effects of back-flowing water by means of a suitable check valve, such as the special CO2check
valve from Dennerle. Standard air check valves are not suitable – they may become brittle through contact with CO2within only a short space of time, resulting in leaks.

tiene costantemente monitorato il valore pH all’interno
dell’acquario e regola con precisione elettronica e in maniera
totalmente automatica l’apporto di CO2necessario.
*Non compreso nella confezione. Disponibile presso i negozi
specializzati.
3 Montaggio
• Montare l’elettrovalvola per CO2, come da esempio di montaggio A o B, nel tubo dell’impianto di CO2. Rispettare la direzione del flusso: vedi freccia sul
contenitore! Fissare i collegamenti del tubo con dadi per raccordi.
ATTENZIONE: il tubo tra riduttore di pressione e valvola elettromagnetica deve avere assolutamente una resistenza alla pressione
di almeno 5 bar. Tubi non idonei potrebbero scoppiare. Vi consigliamo il tubo speciale per CO2Softflex DENNERLE, in grado di resistere fino a 7
bar (cod. art. 3060).
CONS GL O: il tubo tra riduttore di pressione e valvola elettromagnetica dovrebbe essere il più corto possibile perchè con la valvola chiusa nel tubo
si accumula una certa pressione. Tanto più il tubo è corto e minore sarà la quantità di CO2rilasciata improvvisamente nell’acquario in caso di apertura della valvola.
• Fissare la valvola elettromagnetica e l’angolo di supporto in un punto idoneo dell’armadietto sotto all’acquario.
• Collegare la spina di rete al timer o al pH-controller e/o al computer dell’acquario. Quando viene alimentata dalla corrente, la valvola elettromagnetica
CO2è aperta e viene aggiunta CO2. Attenersi attentamente anche alle istruzioni per l’uso degli altri componenti del vostro impianto di CO2.
4 La giusta quantità di CO2
Per la crescita di splendide piante Dennerle consiglia un contenuto di CO2nell’acquario compreso tra 15 e 30 mg/l, l’ideale sarebbe tra 20 e 25 mg/l.
Indicazioni per l’impostazione di base: iniziate con circa 10 bollicine al minuto per ogni 100 l di acqua dell’acquario, cioè per un acquario
ad esempio da 200 l con 2 x 10 = 20 bollicine al minuto. Controllate regolarmente l’apporto di CO2e il contenuto di CO2nell’acqua e, se necessario, ade-
guate la quantità di CO2ATTENZIONE: se necessario, aumentare la quantità di CO2sempre molto lentamente e nell’arco di più
giorni! DENNERLE consiglia: il contenuto di CO2si misura nel modo più semplice con il test CO2Correct a lunga durata Dennerle. Se il test è
VERDE significa che nell’acqua c’è la giusta quantità di CO2. Non sono necessari ulteriori ausili o misurazioni dell’acqua per la determinazione della CO2!
5 Istruzioni particolari
• Non avvitare la valvola elettromagnetica CO2a tavolette sottili di legno o simili in quanto queste possono fungere da terreno di risonanza e generare ronzii.
• La valvola elettromagnetica CO2deve essere utilizzata esclusivamente in combinazione con un vero riduttore di pressione, ad esempio i riduttori di pres-
sione Dennerle Compact, Professional e Exclusive. Le valvole a farfalla semplici non sono ammesse, in quanto potrebbe essere superata la pres-
sione massima d’esercizio consentita di 5 bar.
• La valvola elettromagnetica dovrebbe essere sempre protetta dalla corrosione dell’acqua di ritorno attraverso una valvola di non-ritorno CO2idonea,
ad esempio la valvola di non-ritorno CO2Special Dennerle. Le normali valvole di non-ritorno per aria possono non sono idonee. nfatti possono
diventare fragili a causa della CO2già dopo poco tempo e perdere così le loro proprietà di tenuta.

2 Werkwijze CO2-magneetventiel
Met de DENNERLE CO2-magneetventiel kan de CO2-toe-
voer op 2 verschillende manieren automatisch worden
geregeld, waardoor waardevol CO2wordt gespaard:
AMet een tijdklok*:
Deze schakelt de CO2-toevoer 's nachts uit, want aquari-
umplanten hebben 's nachts geen CO2nodig.
T P: Sluit de CO2-magneetventiel gewoon op de tijdklok
aan die ook de verlichting van uw aquarium regelt.
B
Met een Dennerle pH-regelaar of aquariumcomputer*:
Deze meet de pH-waarde in het aquarium permanent en
regelt de vereiste CO2-toevoer volledig automatisch en
met elektronische precisie.
*Niet bij de le ering inbegrepen. Verkrijgbaar bij de
speciaalzaak.
3 Montage
• CO2-magneetventiel overeenkomstig het montagevoorbeeld A of B in de slang van de CO2-voedingsstofinstallatie aanbrengen. Let op de doorstroomrich-
ting-zie pijl op de behuizing! Slangaansluitingen met dopmoeren borgen.
ATTENTIE: De slang tussen de drukregelaar en het magneetventiel moet absoluut een drukweerstand van minstens 5 bar hebben.
Ongeschikte slangen kunnen barsten. Wij raden de DENNERLE CO2-Speciaal Slang Softflex,aan, drukvast tot 7 bar (bestelnr. 3060).
T P: De slang tussen de drukregelaar en het magneetventiel dient zo kort mogelijk te zijn, omdat er bij een gesloten ventiel druk in de
slang opgebouwd wordt. Hoe korter de slang, des te kleiner de hoeveelheid CO2die bij het openen van het ventiel korte tijd in het aquarium terechtkomt.
• Het magneetventiel met de houder op een geschikte plaats in de onderkast bevestigen.
• De netstekker op de tijdklok of pH-regelaar resp. de aquariumcomputer aansluiten. Wanneer het CO2-magneetventiel van stroom voorzien wordt, is het
geopend en wordt er CO2toegevoegd. Let ook op de gebruiksaanwijzingen van de andere componenten van uw CO2-voedingsstofinstallatie.
4 De juiste hoeveelheid CO2
Voor prachtige plantengroei raadt Dennerle een CO2-gehalte in het aquarium aan tussen 15 en 30 mg/l, ideaal is 20 tot 25 mg/l.
Vuistregel voor de basisinstelling: Begin met ca. 10 bellen per minuut per 100 l aquariumwater, d.w.z. voor een 200 l-aquarium b.v. met
2 x 10 = 20 bellen per minuut. Controleer de CO2-toevoer en de hoeveelheid CO2in het aquariumwater regelmatig en pas de CO2-toevoerhoeveelheid eventueel aan.
Let op: De hoeveelheid CO2, indien nodig, altijd maar langzaam en verspreid over verschillende dagen verhogen!
Dennerle roftip: Het eenvoudigst meet je het CO2-gehalte met de Dennerle CO2lange termijn-test Correct. s het resultaat van de test GROEN,
dan bevat het water exact de juiste hoeveelheid CO2. Overige hulpmiddelen of watermetingen om de CO2te bepalen zijn niet nodig!
5 Bijzondere aanwijzingen
• Het CO2-magneetventiel niet op dunne houten platen o.i.d. vastschroeven, omdat die als resonantiebodem werken en eventueel bromtonen kunnen veroorzaken.
• Het CO2-magneetventiel mag uitsluitend in combinatie met echte drukregelaars worden gebruikt, bijvoorbeeld de Dennerle drukregelaars Compact, Professional
en Exclusive. Eenvoudige regelkleppen zijn niet toegestaan, omdat de maximaal toegestane bedrijfsdruk van 5 bar overschreden zou kunnen worden.
• Het magneetventiel moet altijd door een voor CO2geschikt terugslagventiel tegen corrosie door terugstromend water worden beschermd, bijvoorbeeld het
Dennerle CO2speciaal-terugslagventiel. Normale lucht-terugslagventielen zijn ongeschikt - ze kunnen door CO2al binnen korte tijd bros worden en gaan
dan lekken
