Dennis Kirk provides instructions to help our customers better understand how to install the
products we sell. The instructions are exact copies of what the manufacturer includes with the
product being sold.
That means the quality and accuracy of the instructions is solely dependent on what the
manufacturer produces. We do our best to make the text legible and the pictures viewable.
However, the end result depends largely on the quality of instructions the manufacturer
provides.
Therefore, you will find that some instructions are not of the highest quality. Sometimes text is
hard to read and pictures are not easy to see. At times you will find the overall look of the
instructions to be less than professional. However, we feel it is better to provide what we have
rather than provide nothing at all.
To the best of our knowledge the instructions and application information contained in the
instructions is accurate. However, Dennis Kirk assumes no liability related to any errors that
may be contained in the copy of the manufacturer’s instructions we provide. Buyers are solely
responsible to insure that product use is consistent with their application.
If you have any questions please contact us at [email protected] or
800-969-7501 so we can further assist you regarding additional product information or any other
business related questions.
Thank you for doing business with Dennis Kirk.
Congratulations and Thank-you for your purchase of Hogtunes speakers!
Since positive word of mouth is the best way to grow our business, we want
your new speakers to work as well as they were designed to. If you have any
questions or concerns, we are here to help. Email [email protected], or
call us during regular business hours (EST) at 705-719-6361. If you still
need help, then please consider a professional installation by your motorcy-
cle dealer.
Fairing (Front) Installation Instructions
Step #1: Remove the ground wire from the battery, or make sure your igni-
tion switch stays in the “OFF” position.
Step #2: Remove your outer fairing/headlamp/passing lamp assembly, and
set it aside. Refer to a service manual if you need help with this. With the
outer fairing/headlamp/passing lamp assembly removed, locate the back of
each speaker.
Step #3: Take the 2 wires off each speaker by gently pulling one at a time.
Undo the screws that attach each speaker to the inner fairing and carefully
remove each speaker from the bike.
Step #4: BRAKE SIDE Using the stock screws, CAREFULLY install the
new speaker with the connectors on the speaker oriented so they are point-

screws will strip the inner fairing if over tightened so please be careful!!
Plug the grey wire with the red stripe onto the speaker connector marked
with a red dot (+). Plug the green wire with the black stripe onto the other
speaker connector (-)
Step #5: CLUTCH SIDE Using the stock screws, CAREFULLY install the

Step #6: Once you are confident the factory wires are correctly attached to
the new speakers, re-install the battery ground wire, and turn on your radio
to confirm that both speakers are playing. Re-install your fairing/headlamp
assembly/passing lamp. Your new speakers are ready to enjoy!
Rear “Pod” Installation Instructions
Step #1: Remove the ground wire from the battery, or make sure your igni-
tion switch stays in the “OFF” position.
Step #2: The factory rear grills are held in by friction clips. Pull up on each
grill and remove. Undo the 4 screws that hold the speaker in place and take
the 2 wires off by pulling one at a time from the stock speaker. Remove the
speakers.
Step #3: On the BRAKE SIDE, plug the green wire onto the speaker con-
nector marked with a red dot (+). Plug the white wire with the green stripe
onto the other speaker connector (-). On the CLUTCH SIDE, plug the
brown wire onto the speaker connector marked with a red dot (+). Plug
