PREPARATION FOR USE
Power supply
Plug theAC power cordinto 230V/50HzAC outlet. Thenumbers on the
display flash.
Back up battery
Clock memory isretained by one9V battery (type6F22 or 6LR61,not
supplied) during powerinterruption.
1. Open thebattery compartment bypressing the notchin the direction of
arrow and liftingit up.
2. Install a9V(type 6F22 or6LR61) battery asindicated by thepolarity
symbols marked inthe compartment.
3. Close thebattery compartment cover.
Notes: when you arenot going touse the unitfor a longperiod of time,
disconnect theAC power cordfrom ACoutlet and removethe
battery.
Remove the batterywhen the unitis unplugged toavoid
excessive discharge andleakage.
CLOCK
Setting the currenttime
Press and holdthe TIME SETbutton, and at the same time, press the
HOUR or MINbutton until thecurrent time isset.
RADIO OPERATION
1. Set theFunction switch toON.
2. Set theband switch toFM as desired.
3. Rotate theTUNING control totune to the desired station.
4. Adjustthe VOLUME controlto your comfortablesound level.
5. To turn theradio off, setthe Function switchto OFF.
Notes:
For FM reception,uncoil and extendthe wire antennaand adjust the
direction or anglefor optimum reception.

TIMER
Setting the Time
1. While pressingand holding downtime set, pressHOUR. The hourdigits
advance by 1hour each timeyou press HOUR.Hold down HOURto
rapidly advance thehour digits.
2. While youhold down TIMESET,press MIN. The minute digits advance
by 1 minuteeach time youpress MIN. Holddown MIN torapidly advance
the minute digits.
Set the Alarm Time
1. SlideAUTO/ON/OFF toAuto.
2. While pressingand holding downALARM SET, press HOUR.The time
on the displayadvance by 1hour each timeyou press HOUR.Hold down
HOUR to rapidlyadvance the hourdigits.
3. While youhold downALARM SET, press MIN. The minute digitsadvance
by 1 minuteeach time youpress MIN. Holddown MIN torapidly advance
the minute digits.
To Checkthe AlarmTime
Press theALARM SET button.The preset alarm time will be displayed.
Radio Auto
1. Set theFunction switch toFM.
2. Tuneto the stationwhich you wantto listen whenyou wake up.
3. Adjustthe VOLUME controlto the levelyou want whenyou wake up.
4. When thepreset alarm timecomes, the radioturns on automatically.
Toturn the radiooff, press theSNOOZE button or set the Function
switch to OFF.
Note: If you wantto continue tolisten to theradio, set theFunction switch
to ON. Otherwisethe unit automaticallyturns the radiooff about one
hour later.
Buzzer Auto
1. Set theFunction switch toBUZZ
2. When thepreset alarm timecomes, the buzzersounds. To stop the
buzzer sound, pressthe SNOOZE buttonor set theFunction switch
to OFF.

CD Auto
1. Set functionswitch to CD.
2. When thepreset alarm timecomes, the CDsounds automatically.
Playing from thebeginning to endand repeats alluntil the playingtime
has reached 1hour 59 minute.Then CD willstop automatically.The
wake up byCD function willnot be activatedby programmed tracks.
Tostop the CDsound, press theSNOOZE button orset the Function
switch to OFF
Note: If you wantto continue tolisten to theCD, set theFunction switch
to ON. Otherwisethe unit willauto turns off about one hour later..
Snooze Function
Totemporarily turn offthe alarm sound,press the SNOOZE button. The
alarm sound willbe turned off,but it willsound about every 9 minutes after
SNOOZE button ispressed.
Sleep Timer
The radio/CD canbe set toturn off automaticallyfor a length of time from
1 hour 59minutes to 1minute.
1. Set theFunction switch toAUTO .
2. Press theSLEEP button, The unit turns the radio/CD on and 0:59
(59 minutes) willbe displayed momentarilyand the displayreturns to
the current time.
3. Press andhold the SLEEPbutton to reducethe time if you want.
Release the buttonwhen the desired time is displayed. Press and hold
the SLEEP buttonand HOUR orMIN button simultaneouslyto increase
the time .Release the buttonswhen the desired time is displayed.
4. To cancel thesleep timer,press the SNOOZEbutton.
CD OPERATION
1 Set functionswitch to ON.
2 OPEN thedisc compartment andplace a discwith the printedside up.
The total numberof tracks isdisplayed.
3 Press PLAY/PAUSE tostart play.
The number ofthe track beingplayed is displayed.
4 TurnVOLUME to adjustthe sound.
STOP - Stops play.
PLAY/PAUSE - Pausesplay. To resume play,press again.
SKIP - Searchesfor a particularpoint during playback.

Keep SKIP or SKIP+ pressed and then release it.

- Skips tothe beginning ofa track. PressSKIP Or SKIP+ repeatedly

PROGRAM _
In stop state, press PROG. , and use SKIP or SKIP+ to select the track.
Will be program, press play to start program play.
NOTE
Do not use irregular shape CDs(example: heart-shaped, octagonal ones).
It may result in malfunctions.
Do not place more than one disc in the disc compartment.
Do not try to open the disc compartment during play.
Do not touch the lens. Doing so may cause malfunctions.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Toreduce the riskof FIRE orELECTRIC SHOCK, do not expose the unit
to rain ormoisture.
This unit shouldbe situated awayfrom heat sources,such as radiators,
heat registers, stovesor other productsthat generate heat.
Do not useliquid cleaners oraerosol cleaners. Usea slightly moistened
