operation manual- Switch + dimmer
DES-2300, DES-2300S(RSW887R|RSW882R-B) Dimmer: DED-100 (RSW887RD-E)
Intended Use:The radio flush-mounted switches are used in combination with a suitable radio
transmitter from the DIW radio system for wireless switching on and off or dimming (only model DED-
100) a connected consumer*.
The wireless flush-mounted switch is only suitable for mains voltage operation (230 V/AC, 50 Hz).It
requires phase "L" and neutral conductor "N" to operate. With type DES-2300 and DES-2300S
the maximum switching load is 2300 W (resistive load) or 300 W (inductive load) .
er Funk- immer E -100 can also dim easily dimmable lamps. The maximum switching load here
is 150 W (resistive load) or 60 W (inductive load). Also suitable for LEDs.
*Info: Consumers with a predominantly ohmic load are e.g. light bulbs, heaters, etc.
Devices with inductive loads are e.g. B. motors, ballasts, conventional transformers, energy-saving
lamps, light sources, LEDs, etc.
The ES-2300S model is ideal to use a conventionalWall switch to be supplemented with an
additional wireless switching function. The existing wall switch is retained, but can also be switched
wirelessly with a compatible radio remote control.
This assumes that the flush-mounted box offers enough space to install the wireless flush-mounted
switch behind the existing wall switch and that "L" and "N" are available.
Observe the safety instructions for the preparations for the installation!
Installation and connection all models
- strip the cable (solid conductors only) at least 7 mm and connect the wires as
shown in the ad acent figures.
- make sure the terminals are properly tightened and no bare wire is visible.
- Suitable wire size for the terminal is 0.75mm²~ 2.5mm²
- Connect a maximum of 1 wire with 2.5 mm² wire to each terminal!
- Connect the consumer to the two middle screw terminals.
The "N" connection is the neutral conductor, the "X" connection is the "L" phase of
the switching output.
The two outer screw terminals are used to connect to the mains voltage ("N" =
neutral conductor, "L" = phase).
- The radio receiver can be attached using the lateral straps.
- The radio receiver is inserted in a flush-mounted box or surface-mounted box.
- Make sure that the button on the back of the housing is exposed during
assembly and is not pressed accidentally.
- The button on the back of the housing is used to "teach" the switch to the radio transmitter that is to
operate the switch and must therefore remain freely accessible.
additional connection to the wall transmitter (only model DES-2300S with 2
cables)
- Unclip the wall switch cover and remove the wall switch from the flush-mounted
box.
- Connect the two cables of the wireless receiver to the two switching contacts of
your wall switch ("S1"), see image on the right.
You can then also operate the switch via the mechanical wall switch.
o not apply voltage to the two external cables. That will destroy the
switch!
=> this is how you pair the radio receiver with a hand-held or
wall-mounted transmitter:
-> the dimmer should be in the "OFF" state for learning and deactivation.
1.) Press and hold the receiver's learn button (more than 3 seconds) until the LED
next to the button flashes. The switch is now in learning mode for approx. 15 seconds.
2.) During this time (LED flashes), hold down the "ON" button on the hand-held or wall-mounted
transmitter
(longer than 3 seconds) until the LED stops flashing and stays on.
3.) The transmitter is now learned and the programming mode is exited automatically.
If you want to learn more receivers, start again at point 1. You can learn up to 10 different
transmitters so that you can switch from different places
The programming mode is also activated (LED flashes) when the mains voltage is connected (e.g.
during initial commissioning). A radio wall transmitter or a radio remote control can now be taught in
within approx. 15 seconds.
=> How to delete the code of a hand-held or wall-mounted transmitter:
-> the receiver should be in the "OFF" state for deletion.
1.) Press and hold the receiver's learn button (more than 3 seconds) until the LED
next to the button flashes. The switch is now in learning mode for approx. 15 seconds (ends
automatically).
2.) During this time (LED flashes), press the "OFF" button on the hand-held or wall-mounted
transmitter
(longer than 3 seconds) until the LED goes out.The code has been successfully cleared.
Service:
With handheld or wall transmitter:To turn on/off, press the ON/OFF button.
With window contact switch (e.g. for exhaust air controls)
Move the magnet away from the transmitter body to turn it on and move the magnet toward the
transmitter body to turn it off. The function can also be reversed on the transmitter.
Switching on and off using the button on the built-in wireless switch
For a function test, the wireless built-in switch can also be switched on (LED is on) or off (LED is off)
by briefly pressing the button on the receiver.
imming function with handheld or wall transmitter – only for model DED-100 (built-in dimmer)
- Press the "ON" button to switch on the light in the last saved brightness.
- If you press the "ON" button again, the light will get darker and brighter again until you press "ON"
again. This new brightness is then stored.
- If you press "OFF", the light goes out, but the last brightness level remains saved.
imming directly on the built-in receiver: Press the receiver's button to turn on
the light, then hold the button 3seconds to select the Activate dimming mode and release the button
when the desired brightness is reached.
