INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL Rel.0 | Nov. 2018
The sophisticated system detects the presence of explosive gases in the environment,
considerably before the threshold of L.I.E., that is, before the quantity of dispersed gas can
be dangerous or harmful.
The advantages that characterize this system are:
• Radio transmission
• Minimum installation times
• Ease of Operation
• Energy saving
• No False alarms
Applications
• Gas detector
• Gas alarms

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Insert the appropriate plug into a 220V socket. Take care to ensure that the sensor has
legibly oriented lettering.
This favors a correct aeration of the sensor, since the passage of air takes place naturally,
from the bottom to the top.

GAS HOME
INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL Rel.0 | Nov. 2018
FUNCTIONALITY OF ONBOARD BUTTON
The button on the device is used to perform a function test of the outputs and to switch the
device on or off. Pressing the button for about 1 second, upon release, a LED and buzzer
test will be performed.
Important: Do not use lighters or combustible gas directly on the sensor to test its
functioning, since the high concentration of gas pollutes the sensor itself, varying the
sensitivity and decreasing its duration.
SLEEP MODE
Keeping the button pressed for more than 6 seconds the sensor will no longer carry out the
gas analysis (the yellow LED will flash for 200 ms every second to signal that the gas
detection is deactivated). To enable detection again, press the button for 6 seconds. The
green LED will light up to indicate the resumption of operation.
Important: After having powered the sensor or after having rehabilitated the detection by
pushbutton, it is necessary a 3 minutes waiting time for the detection of explosive gases,
and a time of 20 minutes for the detection of harmful gases. During this period the yellow
LED flashes, to indicate the preheating phase of the sensors and the environmental
analysis.
In the event of an anomaly or of operation in extreme temperature conditions, the yellow
LED will light up permanently.
ACTIVE SECURITY – RADIO 433 MHZ
The device has a 433 MHz radio transmitter, which allows, through the installation of a
special radio receiver, to secure the environment, for example by controlling a solenoid valve
that closes the gas in case of loss. It also allows you to install multiple detectors with just
one receiver, so you can secure the whole house.
INSTALLATION
We recommend positioning the sensor at 50 centimeters from the ceiling if the gas to be
detected is mainly composed of methane and gas lighter than air, while we recommend a
height of 50 centimeters from the floor if the gas to be detected consists mainly of butane or
other heavy gases. For rooms below 15 square meters, a medium height from the floor is
recommended. For proper ventilation of the sensor, it must be placed in a vertical position,
with free ventilation grids.

SENSOR CALIBRATION
The sensor is calibrated at the factory and self-regulates according to the environmental
measurements.
Important: It is possible to carry out a calibration operation by closing the appropriate
jumper on the printed circuit board and keeping the button pressed for 10 seconds. The red
LED lights up, which indicates the procedure in progress. When the LED goes out (it can
even take 20 minutes), remove the jumper and restart the device.
The calibration procedure must be carried out in a gas-free environment.
MAINTENACE AND CLEANING
The device does not need any special maintenance, except the normal cleaning in case of
installation in a dusty place.
CLEANING MODALITY
- Disconnect the sensor from the 220V socket;
- Clean the plastic container with a damp cloth without detergents;
- Blow with a special air cylinder for electronic circuits, maintaining a distance of 15
centimeters from the sensor;
- Power up the device and perform a test by pressing the appropriate button.
Attention: Do not use any type of detergent neither for cleaning the plastic container nor for
cleaning the electronic board.
LIMITATION AND WARRANTY
For the correct functioning of the device:
- Do not place near air inlets, air outlets of air conditioning systems, fans, areas with high
humidity and areas where there are strong vibrations.
- Pay attention to the substances (silicones, hydrogen sulfide, ethanol, etc.) present in the
environment that can alter the sensor's sensitivity or damage it. If the presence of these
substances is presumed, the sensor functionality must be checked every month.
- Use a gas sensor every 30-40 square meters of surface (height 3 meters).
- Install the sensor in an accessible place for any technical checks.

INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL Rel.0 | Nov. 2018
The device is covered by a 1-year legal guarantee. The warranty is void if there are any
signs of damage, tampering or use that does not comply with the specifications on the
device.
The maximum sensor life is 5 years in continuous operation.
In addition to this period, the sensitivity of the sensor degrades considerably, thus making it
necessary to replace it or, where possible, revise it. The sensors can be stocked for 10
years, if not exposed to humidity, vapors, temperature changes, etc.
