equipment manufactured or sold by the GK DoorHan.
On the service maintenance, you can go to any certified service center of the GK DoorHan
(hereinafter - CSC DoorHan) in the territory of Russia and CIS countries. The list of service
centers is given at the Company's official website www.doorhan.com in the section "Service
Centers."
The door complies with the design documentation and national standards.
The door has passed the acceptance tests and is recognized fit for use.

1. A PROCEDURE FOR FILLING UP THE SERVICE BOOK
This Service Book is a must-have application to a set of the sectional door of the GK DoorHan,
and contains information about your product, operation sequence and requirements for use of
the product, and warranty conditions.
We ask you to keep your Service Book safe. To confirm the right for warranty service
maintenance, the Service Book is to be presented to the dealer of the GK DoorHan, that has
sold the product, or to the CSC DoorHan when requiring the warranty services.

2. THE DOOR DESIGNATION
The sectional door is designed to cover the entrance of the building opening to restrict access
and to protect the premises from the effects of the environment and the noise.
3. THE DOOR DESIGN FEATURES
3.1. The door construction
The general construction of the sectional door consists of the following elements: a leaf, a leaf
balancing system and a guides system, the form of which determines the type of lifting.
The door leaf consists of the horizontal sandwich panels / panoramic panels, which are
interconnected with the special hinges. For watertight connections of the panels, a seal is
installed on their joints.
The door leaf balancing system can be of the following types:
1) a torsion mechanism,
2) a tension spring (only for domestic door).
During the opening, the door leaf, with use of a roller system, rises along the guide rails to the
ceiling, freeing up the door opening.
The door structure depends on the height of the door lintel and the architecture of the ceiling,
the type of the leaf lifting, as well as the kind of the motor drive used for door automation.
The door control is carried out both in the manual and (when a motor drive is installed)
automatic mode. The control in manual mode is carried out with the help of the handles fixed to
the door leaf, or a manual chain gear (when using a ceiling motor drive). The sending a signal to
open / close the door is carried out automatically by a control station (for the shaft drives), a
remote control (for the shaft drives in case when a receiver is installed), or other auxiliary
devices.
The basic configuration of the sectional door includes a latch, which is used for locking the door
from inside the building in the extreme closed position. For securing a possibility to close the
door leaf, both from inside and from outside of the premises, a lock can be installed (optional).
WHEN USING A LATCH, THERE MUST BE AN ADDITIONAL
ENTRANCE TO THE PREMISES.

4. THE DOOR OPERATION SEQUENCE
4.1. The door operation without the motor drive
4.1.1. The opening the door

4.2. The door operation with the motor drive
WHEN OPERATING THE DOOR, EQUIPPED WITH THE MOTOR
DRIVE, USE ADDITIONAL OPERATIONAL DOCUMENTS FOR THE
MOTOR DRIVE.
4.2.1. The ceiling motor drives of the series Sectional and Fast
WHEN USING A CEILING MOTOR DRIVE WITH THE DOOR
INSTALLED IN A ROOM WITHOUT ADDITIONAL ENTRANCE, BE
SURE TO USE AN EXTERNAL RELEASER DOORHAN.

4.2.1.1. The remote control
The opening, closing and stop of the door in an intermediate position is carried out by pressing
the remote control buttons. Stop in the extreme positions is carried out in accordance with the
integrated speed sensor.
When the door is closed, the motor drives of the series Sectional and Fast perform the function
of a lock. If there is no power or there is a fault of the drive, you must to bring the drive out of
engagement from outside or from inside and open the door manually.
4.2.1.2. The setting the motor drive to the manual mode
For setting the motor drive to the manual operation mode, pull the releaser cord down, as
shown in Fig. 1. The carriage should come out of engagement with the chain, whereupon the
door can be lifted / lowered manually.
4.2.1.3. The setting the motor drive to the automatic mode
For setting the motor drive to the automatic mode, pull the releaser cord down once and release
it, and after that carefully slide the door manually until the carriage comes into gear with the
chain. Apply a control signal from the remote or the buttons, then the automatic system restarts
the operation immediately after the power-up.
4.2.1.4. The external releaser (optional)
The external lanyard releaser is designed for manual emergency unlocking the door from the
street side when disconnecting the power supply or failure of the automatic system to gain
access to the premises through the passage, secured by the door (in absence of a wicket-door
or additional entrance to the premises).

Opening, closing and stopping the door in an intermediate position is carried out by pressing the
buttons of the control board or remote control (when the receiver is installed).

4.2.2.2. The manual control
4.2.2.2.1. The control with use of the chain gearbox
The motor drives of the series Shaft are equipped with a manual chain gearbox, which is used
in cases of emergency opening/closing the door when disconnecting the power supply.
Extend or shorten the chain so that in the assembled condition its end would be at the height of
50-150 cm from the floor surface. It is recommended to fix the lower part of the chain, so that it
does not interfere with movement of the people and equipment. In addition, attach in a
prominent location the warning labels indicating the direction of opening and closing. In order to
bring the door in motion, pull down the chain (Fig. 2).

THE CONTINUOUS USE OF THE MANUAL CHAIN GEARBOX IS
PROHIBITED. THE USE IS PERMITTED ONLY IN AN EMERGENCY!
OTHERWISE, IT MAY DAMAGE THE CHAIN GEARBOX!
BEFORE USING THE MANUAL CHAIN GEARBOX, MAKE SURE THAT
THE CHAIN LINKS ARE NOT DEFORMED OR DIRTY. OTHERWISE,
THE USE OF THE GEARBOX MAY CAUSE ITS JAMMING.
4.2.2.2.2. The use of the releaser
4.2.2.2.2.1. The drive Shaft-30/60
If necessary, the drive can be unlocked with use of the lever of the built-in releaser.

In order to open and close the door manually, turn the releaser lever clockwise as far as it will
go (Fig. 3a). In this case, the power supply to the drive will be stopped.
To return to the door automatic control, turn the releaser lever in the opposite direction as far as
it will go (Fig. 3b). This resumes the power supply to the drive.
4.2.2.2.2.2. The drive Shaft-50/120
For the emergency control, pull the cord with the red handle (Fig. 4, Position 1) all the way
down, so to exclude a possibility of automatic start of the drive. To return to the automatic
control, pull all the way down the cord with the green handle (Fig. 4, Position 2).
DO NOT PULL THE RED HANDLE WHEN THE DRIVE IS RUNNING.
THIS MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE MOTOR.

5. THE USE OF THE DOOR
The properly installed and operated door ensure the operation reliability and durability.
To extend the life of your door, follow these guidelines:
•The sections of the door leaf should move smoothly along the guide rails, and the door itself
should be balanced, i.e. its weight must be compensated by the inertia of the spring.
•The manual opening and closing of the door is carried out only by the handle.
•When you open and close the door manually, do not apply to it a very great force. A hard
opening and closing of the door is prohibited.
•Make sure that the people and animals are not exposed in the area of the door during its
operation.
•It is strictly forbidden to move under the moving door leaf, as this can cause serious injury.
•Do not subject the door to the shocks and do not hinder its free opening and closing.
•Do not expose the guides and rollers to contamination, as this may cause a breach of the
smoothness of movement; in the case of use of the drive it can cause its overload and failure.

•Make sure that when driving the door leaf, there are no foreign objects and debris in the
doorway. Their presence can cause an imbalance and jamming of the door.
•To avoid injury, do not touch with the hands the running parts of the door (rollers, lateral
supports, panels, etc.).
•If your door is equipped with a wicket-door, then before to put the door the motion, make
sure that the wicket-door is closed.
•In the case of manual chain drive, after the arrival of the door to the end position (the door is
fully open/closed), it is allowed to pull the chain only in the opposite direction in order to
prevent the jumping the wire-lines off the drums.
•When using an automatic drive, it should be guided by the instructions attached to the drive.
•In the case of unintended use of the door, the manufacturer is not responsible for its integrity
and correct operation.
To ensure maximal operation safety, additional protection devices can be installed in the door:
•Photocells and optical sensors – devices designed to prevent accidents when contacting
with foreign objects in the operation area of the door.
•Warning light – a device that signals the movement of the door during the entire cycle of
opening and closing.
•Magnetic proximity sensor of the open wicket-door – a device designed to prevent the drive
to run when the wicket-door is open.
•Traffic light – a device that allows you to improve the safety of vehicular traffic at the
entrance/exit in the fenced territory.
•Stop button – a device designed to sudden stop of the door drive in the case of emergency.
IN THE CASE OF OPENING/CLOSING THE DOOR WITH THE HELP
OF THE DRIVE, THE LOCK OR LATCH MUST BE IN THE OPEN
STATE.
WHEN INSTALLING THE CEILING MOTOR DRIVE, IT IS PROHIBITED
TO OPEN THE DOOR MANUALLY WHEN THE DRIVE IS ENGAGED.
WHEN INSTALLING THE SHAFT MOTOR DRIVE, USE THE CHAIN
ONLY IN THE CASES OF EXTREME NECESSITY, OTHERWISE YOU
CAN DAMAGE THE PARTS OF THE CHAIN GEARBOX.
KEEP THE CHILDREN AND UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS AWAY FROM
THE AUTOMATIC CONTROL DEVICES OF THE DOOR (BUTTONS,
REMOTE CONTROLS).
6. THE MAINTENANCE SERVICE
6.1. The general provisions
To ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of your door, it is recommended to conduct
regularly its technical inspection and maintenance according to the list of scheduled works
specified in the Par. 6.2 of this Service Book.
DOMESTIC DOORS: THE FREQUENCY OF TECHNICAL
MAINTENANCE SERVICE – AT LEAST 1 TIME PER YEAR.
INDUSTRIAL DOORS: THE FREQUENCY OF TECHNICAL
MAINTENANCE SERVICE – AT LEAST 1 TIME PER 6 MONTHS.

The technical maintenance service is to be carried out by the company that has sold the door,
or by a GK DoorHan's service center, certified to perform the work on maintenance service of
the equipment manufactured or sold by the GK DoorHan.
THE PERFORMING OF THE TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE SERVICE
