Es freut uns, dass Sie sich für den dot-spot brilliance Bodeneinbaustrahler entschieden
haben! dot-spot Produkte werden nach sehr hohen Qualitätsanforderungen entwickelt
und gefertigt. Die hohe Qualität und lange Lebensdauer der Produkte ist ein aktiver
Beitrag zur Ressourcenschonung und zum Umweltschutz.
Der dot-spot brilliance ist ein kompakter Bodeneinbaustrahler mit schwenk- und dreh-
barem 10 W LED Leuchtmittel. Das Gehäuse ist komplett aus korrosionsbeständigem
V4A Edelstahl gefertigt. Durch die Kugelmechanik wird ein optimaler Wärmetransport
von der LED zum Leuchtengehäuse gewährleistet. Die integrierte Treiberelektronik
besitzt eine Temperaturschutzschaltung, die die Leistung der LED bei Gefahr der Über-
hitzung reduziert.
Prüfen Sie zunächst den Lieferumfang:

Bestimmungsgemäßer Einsatz
Der brilliance Bodeneinbaustrahler dient zur Beleuchtung von Mauern, Wänden, Fassa-
den, Panzen u.ä. vom Boden aus sowie zur Erzeugung von Lichtakzenten.
Der brilliance Bodeneinbaustrahler ist nach ordnungsgemäßer Montage wasserdicht
und unempndlich gegen die üblichen Wetter und Umwelteinüsse. Zum Betrieb des bril-
liance Bodeneinbaustrahlers ist ein Netzteil mit 24 V DC (12 V DC bei der RGB Variante)
mit ausreichender Ausgangsleistung, abhängig von der Anzahl der angeschlossenen
Leuchten, erforderlich. Der Bodeneinbaustrahler brilliance kann in feste Materialien, wie
Holz oder Stein direkt, ohne Montagehülse eingebaut werden. Bei der Montage in losen
Materialien oder Beton empehlt sich die Verwendung der Montagehülse.
Um eine bessere Ausleuchtung zu erreichen und die Blendwirkung zu reduzieren, kann
das Leuchtmittel um bis zu 25° geschwenkt und um 360° gedreht werden.
Montage
Bei der Montage sind die jeweils gültigen Sicherheitsvorschriften zu beachten. Die Mon-
tage darf nur durch entsprechend ausgebildete Fachkräfte erfolgen.

Montage
Der brilliance Bodeneinbaustrahler kann auf verschiedene Arten montiert werden:
1. Einbau in feste Materialien, wie Holzdielen oder Steinplatten ohne Montage-
hülse. Zum Einbau ist ein Bohrloch mit 75 mm Durchmesser erforderlich. Die
Einbautiefe beträgt ca. 80 mm + ggf. Raum für die Kabelverbindungsmuffe.
2. Einbau in lose Materialien, wie z.B. Beton, Splitt, Erdreich, Rasen o.ä. mit
Montagehülse.
Zunächst wird die Montagehülse an der gewünschten Stelle xiert. Später wird der
Strahler von oben in die Montagehülse eingesetzt. Die Einbautiefe mit Montagehülse
beträgt 150 mm.

Elektroanschluss
Brilliance 24 V monochrom
Der brilliance Bodeneinbaustrahler ist mit einem 2-poligem Anschlusskabel in verschie-
denen Anschlussvarianten erhältlich: 0,15 m mit Niedervolt-Stecker / 5 m mit Nieder-
volt-Stecker / 5 m offenes Ende / 10 m offenes Ende. Je nach Einbausituation kann die
entsprechende Variante gewählt werden.
Mehrere brilliance Bodeneinbaustrahler werden in Parallelschaltung verdrahtet. Der
Elektroanschluss kann mittels wasserdichter dot-spot Verbindungsmuffen, KV G 68
oder KV T 68, wasserdichter dot-spot Gel Muffen Gel-Box 1 und 2, oder einer anderen,
wasserdichten Anschlusstechnik erfolgen.
An das Anschlusskabel wird die Versorgungsspannung von 24 V DC angeschlossen.
Die Leuchten keinesfalls direkt mit Netzspannung betreiben! Rot = + Pol, schwarz =
- Pol. In Abb. 2 und 3 ist der exemplarische Anschluss mehrerer Bodeneinbaustrahler
mittels Verbindungsmuffen KV G 68 und KV T 68, sowie mit Gel-Box dargestellt.

Maximale Leitungslänge
Die maximale Leitungslänge in Abhängigkeit des Leitungsquerschnittes (Kupferleitung)
und der Leuchtenanzahl ist in der folgenden Tabelle als grober Richtwert dargestellt:
Vor dem ersten Einschalten der Leuchte ist die Verdrahtung zu prüfen.
Brilliance RGB
Die brilliance RGB Modelle sind entweder mit einer Zuleitung von 0,5 m mit wasser-
dichtem Steckverbinder, oder mit 5 m Zuleitung, offenes Ende ausgestattet. Die Verdrah-
tung erfolgt gemäß Abbildung 4 und 5:

Schwenken der LED Leuchte
Der brilliance Bodeneinbaustrahler ist mit 4 verschiedenen Abstrahlwinkeln erhältlich:
10°, 20°, 25°, 35°. Um die Blendwirkung zu minimieren und um die Beleuchtung zu
optimieren kann der Träger der LED Leuchte um bis zu 25° in jede Richtung geschwenkt
und um 360° gedreht werden. Die Einstellung ist vor dem Einbau vorzunehmen und zu
testen (siehe Abb. 6). Die Leuchten sind werksmäßig auf 0° Winkel eingestellt.
1. Die 4 Befestigungsschrauben des Druckringes auf der Unterseite der Leuchte
mit einem Kreuzschraubendreher leicht lösen. Vermeiden Sie die Schrauben
komplett heraus zu drehen und die Kugel aus dem Gehäuse zu nehmen.
2. Den gewünschten Winkel durch drehen der Kugel einstellen und die 4 Schrauben
wieder fest drehen, bis der Druckring im Bereich der Schrauben am Gehäuse
anliegt (eine Leichte Verformung des Druckrings ist dabei normal).
Bei diesem Vorgang muss die Leuchte absolut trocken und sauber sein. Insbeson-
dere zwischen Gehäuse und Kugel darf kein Schmutz oder Wasser eindringen.
3. Vor dem Einbau der Leuchte die Einstellung prüfen.

Einbau der Leuchte
Zum Einbauen der Leuchte direkt in das Montageloch, bzw. in die Montagehülse sind
die Flügel der Klemmfeder Richtung Gehäuse zu drücken und die Leuchte mit leichtem
Druck einzudrücken.
Wartung, Pege
Der brilliance Bodeneinbaustrahler ist wartungsfrei. Oberäche von Zeit zu Zeit mit
einem feuchten Tuch reinigen. Blätter und Schmutz, die sich ggf. auf das Leuchtenglas
legen, entfernen.
Insbesondere bei Kontakt mit eisenhaltigen Düngemitteln oder bestimmten Naturstei-
nen können sich Rostecken am Metallrand bilden. Diese können mit handelsüblichen
Edelstahl Reinigern entfernt werden.

Garantiebedingungen in Deutschland
getestet. Dennoch kann nicht ganz ausgeschlossen werden, dass vereinzelt Fehler
während des Betriebs auftreten.
Wir gewähren im Rahmen der gesetzlichen Bestimmungen eine Gewährleistung von
2 Jahren ab Kaufdatum (Rechnungsbeleg). Die Gewährleistung bezieht sich auf die
einwandfreie Funktion der dot-spot Einbaustrahler und Zubehör bei bestimmungsge-
mäßem Gebrauch.
Die Gewährleistung umfasst nicht Schäden, die durch normale Abnutzung oder
mechanische Zerstörung durch Krafteinwirkung von außen entstanden sind.
Die Gewährleistung umfasst den Ersatz der defekten Teile. Auf den Ersatz von
Folgeschäden besteht kein Anspruch. Insbesondere auf Erstattung von Folgeschäden,
die bei unsachgemäßer Verwendung oder unsachgemäßem Einbau der Produkte ent-
stehen, besteht kein Anspruch. Der fachgerechte Einbau ist in der Montageanweisung
beschrieben.
dot-spot Einbaustrahler sind für den Betrieb mit speziellen dot-spot Netzteilen konzi-
piert. Bei Schäden, die durch den Betrieb mit ungeeigneten Vorschaltgeräten, Netzteilen
oder anderen Spannungsquellen entstehen, besteht kein Anspruch auf Gewährleistung.

We are pleased that you decided to buy the dot-spot brilliance recessed luminaire!
dot-spot products are developed and manufactured according to very high quality guide-
lines. The high quality and long life of the products is an active contribution to resource
conservation and environmental protection.
The dot-spot brilliance is a compact recessed luminaire with a pivotable and turnable
10 W LED illuminant. The housing is entirely made of corrosion-resistant V4A stainless
steel. The ball mechanism guarantees an optimum heat transport from the LED towards
the oor housing. The integrated drive electronics has a temperature control which
reduces the power of the LED in the event of a risk of overheating.

Intended use
The brilliance recessed luminaire serves for illuminating walls, faces, plants and such-
like from the ground as well as for creating light accents.
Following correct installation, the brilliance recessed luminaire is waterproof and insen-nstallation, the brilliance recessed luminaire is waterproof and insen-
sitive against common weather and environmental inuences.
In order to operate the brilliance recessed luminaire, depending on the number of
connected spots, a 24 V DC (12 V DC for the RGB version) power adapter with sufcient
output power is necessary. The recessed luminaire brilliance can be directly installed
in solid materials such as wood or stone, without using any oor sleeve. In case of an
installation in loose materials or concrete, we recommend using a oor sleeve.
In order to achieve a better illumination and to reduce the blinding effect, the illuminant
can be pivoted by up to 25 degrees and turned by 360 degrees.
Installation
During installation, the relative safety regulations have to be followed. The installation
may only be carried out by appropriately trained professionals.

Installation
The brilliance recessed luminaire can be installed in many ways:
1. Installation in solid materials such as wood planks or stone slabs without mounting
sleeve. A borehole with 75 mm in diameter is necessary in order to install the spot.
The installation depth amounts to approx. 80 mm + space for the cable connecting
sleeve, if needed.
2. Installation in loose materials as e.g. in concrete, chippings, soil, lawn and suchlike
with oor sleeve
At rst, the oor sleeve has to be xed in the desired place. Afterwards, the spot is set
into the oor sleeve from above. The installation depth with oor sleeve amounts to 150 mm.

The brilliance recessed luminaire with a 2-pole connecting cable is available in differ-
ent versions: 0,15 m with low voltage plug / 5 m with low voltage plug / 5 m plastic-
sheathed cable / 10 m plastic-sheathed cable. Depending on the installation scenario
you can choose the respective version.
The electrical connection can be done via waterproof dot-spot connecting sleeves, KV G
68 or KV T 68, waterproof dot-spot gel sleeves Gel-Box 1 and 2 or any other waterproof
connection technology.
The connecting cable is attached to the 24 V DC power supply. Never directly operate
the spots with mains voltage! Red = positive pole, black = negative pole. Figure 2 and
3 shows an example of more luminaires connected via the connecting sleeves KV G 68
and KV T 68 as well as with the Gel-Box.

Maximum cable length
The maximum cable length depending on the conductor cross-section (copper wire) and
on the number of spots being used shown as rough reference value in the following table:
Check cabling before powering up the spot.
Brilliance RGB
The brilliance RGB models are equipped with either a cable of 0.5 m length with water-
proof connector, or a 5 m cable with open end. Cabling is done according to g. 4 and 5.

The brilliance recessed luminaire is available with four different dispersion angles:
10, 20, 25 and 35 degrees. In order to reduce the blinding effect and to optimize illumina-
tion, the LED lamp mount can be pivoted by up to 25 degrees in each direction and turned
by 360 degrees. Setting must be done and tested before installation (see g. 6).
The lamps are pre-set to an angle of 0 degrees.
1. Slightly loosen the four xing screws of the pressure ring underneath the spot with
a Phillips screwdriver. Do not completely unscrew the screws and do not remove the
ball from the housing.
2. Set the desired angle by turning the ball and screw tight the four screws until the
pressure ring in the screw area lies at against the housing (a slight deformation of
the pressure ring is normal).
During this procedure, the spot must be absolutely dry and clean. In particular, no
dirt or water must enter between the housing and the ball.
3. Check the settings before installing the spot.

In order to directly install the spot in the borehole or in the oor sleeve, you have to press
the wings of the spring clamp and push in the spot gently.
Maintenance & care
The brilliance recessed luminaire is maintenance-free. Clean the surface with a damp
cloth every now and then. Remove leaves or dirt which may cover the glass of the spot.
Rust stains at the metal rim may occur in particular in case of contact with iron-bearing
fertilizers or certain natural stones. These stains can be removed with commercial
cleaning products for stainless steel.

These Terms of warranty are valid as of 01/01/2006
These terms of warranty apply to the purchase and use of our products in the Federal
Republic of Germany. In other countries the warranty conditions will be those stipulated
in the terms of sales and shipment for the respective country or by law.
The legal warranty rights are not affected by this warranty. This warranty statement is
our voluntary service as manufacturer.
All dot-spot products are thoroughly checked and tested before leaving the factory.
However, the occurrence of occasional failures during operation may not be completely
excluded.

Terms of warranty

Terms of warranty in Germany
In accordance with legal provisions, we grant a 2-year warranty from date of purchase
(invoice receipt). This warranty refers to the proper function of the dot-spot recessed
luminaires and accessories under normal conditions of use.
The warranty does not cover damages resulting from normal wear or mechanical de-
structions by outside forces.
The warranty covers replacement of defective parts. There shall be no entitlement to
the compensation for consequential damages. In particular, there shall be no right to
reimbursement of consequential damages resulting from improper use or improper
installation of the products. The professional installation is described in the installation
instructions.
The dot-spot recessed luminaire are designed for operation with specic dot-spot power
supplies. In case of damage resulting from operation with unsuitable electronic ballasts,
power supplies or other power sources, no guarantee claims can be made.
