3 Effect on the measurement result
When using an extension hose with the Dräger accuro:
When using an extension hose of a length of up to 15 m the volume
required per pump stroke will not change, however, the flow character-
istics which are typical for the Dräger accuro may change. This will re-
sult in a changed opening time of the pump.
WARNUNG
When using a hose which is 10 m or 15 m long, this change will lead
to false readings for some of the Dräger-Tube types. The measure-
ment result will have to be corrected.
When using extension hoses of up to 3 m length, the change of the
opening time is so small that, in this case, its effect on the
measurement result is negligible.
When using an extension hose with the Dräger X-act 5000:
When using extension hoses of up to 30 m length, a possible effect on
the measurement result is so small that, in this case, it is negligible.
NOTICE
For correct measuring results, the Dräger X-act 5000 may only be
used with the standard extension hoses specified in the order list on
page 12. The Dräger X-act 5000 will recognize the inserted extension
hose during the measurement.
4Use
4.1 Preparation for use
Use at the Dräger accuro:
1. Connect the corresponding
adapter to the extension hose
and place it into the tube sock-
et of the Dräger accuro. The
tongues of the adapter will
snap in.
Push the slide toward the
pump to secure the connec-
tion.
Use at the
Dräger X-act 5000:
1. Connect the corresponding
adapter to the extension hose
and place it into the tube so-
cket of the Dräger X-act 5000.
2. Break off the tips of the
Dräger-Tube.
3. Insert the tubes in the tube
holder of the hose. The arrow
printed on the Dräger-Tube
points toward the pump.
Position the Dräger-Tube at
the desired sampling point.
4. Position the Dräger-Tube at
the desired sampling point.
