General notes for IACS
Except for asystole and ventricular fibrillation
events, no other arrhythmia events appear in the
trends of any ICS equipped with software version
VG1.
The Cockpit supports IT applications using a Citrix
client XenApp server (ICA client version 12.3.0.8).

Training
Training for users is available via the Dräger orga-
nization responsible (see www.draeger.com).

Availability of accessories
Some articles are not available worldwide because
they are not approved in all countries.
Technical documentation is available on request.
Connected devices
WARNING
To maintain patient safety, adhere to all
WARNINGS and CAUTIONS on equipment la-
bels or appearing in the Instructions for use
for the Infinity Acute Care System (IACS) ap-
plications.
CAUTION
Read all cleaning instructions (for example, origi-
nating from the disinfectant manufacturer and the
hospital) carefully before cleaning the device. Re-
fer to the chapter entitled “Reprocessing” for de-
vice-specific cleaning instructions in the Infinity
Acute Care System M540 Instructions for use.
CAUTION
Even accessories designed to be reused have a
limited maximum period of use. Handling and re-
processing can increase wear and markedly
shorten maximum period of use (e.g., disinfectant
residues can attack the material more intensely
during autoclaving). If signs of wear become visi-
ble, such as cracks, deformation, discoloration,
peeling, etc., affected accessories must be re-
placed.
CAUTION
Risk of medical device failure and of patient injury.
Do not use sterile-packaged accessories if the
packaging has been opened, is damaged or if
there are other signs of non-sterility. Single-use
accessories must not be reused, reprocessed, or
resterilized.
WARNING
Risk due to incompatible accessories
Dräger has tested only the compatibility of ac-
cessories listed in the current list of accesso-
ries. If other, incompatible accessories are
used, there is a risk of patient injury due to
medical device failure.
Dräger recommends that the medical device is
only used together with accessories listed in
the current list of accessories.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock and of device malfunc-
tion
Any connected devices or device combina-
tions not complying with the requirements
mentioned in these instructions for use can
compromise the functional integrity of the
medical device and lead to an electric shock.
Before operating the medical device, strictly
comply with the instructions for use of all con-
nected devices or device combinations.

Installing accessories
Strictly observe instructions for use.
CAUTION
Risk of device failure
Install accessories to the basic device in accor-
dance with the instructions for use of the basic de-
vice. Make sure that there is a safe connection to
the basic device.
CAUTION
Risk of incorrect use
The accessories are not available individually.
Only one copy of the instructions for use is includ-
ed in the bulk package and must therefore be kept
in a location accessible for users.
