■Do not exceed maximum allowable input of any function when making
measurement.
■Even though protection circuit is included in the meter, it would be better not to
apply voltage in OHM range.
■Do NOT expose the instrument to the direct sun, extremes of temperature and
humidity or dew-fall.
■Always set the select knob to the OFF position after use.
■When storing for a long time the battery should be taken out to prevent it from
leaking battery liquid which can damage the interior parts.

This meter is designed with your safety in mind. However, no design can
completely protect you against incorrect use.
Electrical circuits can be dangerous and/or lethal when lack of caution or poor
safety practices are used.

DESCRIPTION OF WARNING SYMBOLS

WARNING:
Sources like small hand-held radio receivers, fixed station radio and television
transmitters, vehicle radio transmitters and cellular phones generate
electromagnetic radiation that may induce voltages in the test leads of the
multimeter. In such cases the accuracy of the multimeter cannot be guaranteed due
to physical reasons.

A.C. CURRENT MEASUREMENT
WARNING:
MAKE CERTAIN THAT ALL TEST LEADS ARE DISCONNECTED FROM INSTRUMENT
TERMINALS.
1. Set the range selector switch to the highest 600A range position.
2. Press the trigger to open the transformer jaws and clamp on to one conductor
only (Fig.1). Take the current reading directly. It is recommended that the
conductor be placed at the centre of the closed jaws for maximum accuracy.
3. When the reading is lower than 200A, set the range selector switch to the 200A
range position.
A.C.VOLTAGE MEASUREMENT
1. Set the range selector switch to the A.C. 600V range position. Insert the red test
lead into the V/Ωterminal of the instrument and black test lead into the COM
terminal.
2. Connect the probe tips to the circuit under test and take the voltage reading
directly.
D.C.VOLTAGE MEASUREMENT
1. Set the range selector switch to the D.C. 600V range position. Insert the red test
lead into the V/Ωterminal of the instrument and black test lead into the COM
terminal.
2. Connect the probe tips to the circuit under test and take the voltage reading
directly.

RESISTANCE MEASUREMENT AND CONTINUITY CHECK
WARNING:
MAKE CERTAIN THAT THERE IS NO VOLTAGE IN THE CIRCUIT OF COMPONENTS
BEING MEASURED.
1. Set the range selector switch to the OHM (Ω) position.
2. Insert the red test lead into the V/Ωterminal of the instrument and the black
test lead into the COM terminal.
3. The display should indicate an over range condition (display “1”) when the
test leads are open.
4. Short the test leads and make certain that the display reads zero and that the
buzzer also sounds.
5. Connect the test leads to the circuit under test and take the resistance reading.
When the resistance measured reading is below 40Ω, the buzzer sounds. It is
continuity check.
DATA HOLD FUNCTION
The reading will be put on hold when the Data Hold Bottom Switch is pressed. If the
Bottom Switch is pressed once again, it will release the hold and allow a further
measurement.
PEAK HOLD FUNCTION
If you press the Peak Hold Bottom Switch, the peak reading will hold. Press once
again the Bottom Switch, it will release the hold and allow a further measurement.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
If the “BAT” ( ) symbol appears on the display, you must replace the battery.
1. Remove the test leads from the instrument terminals and set the power switch
to the OFF position.
2. Unscrew the battery compartment cover.
3. Replace with a new 9V battery.
