OPERATION AND USE

-STARTING UP:
- Fit the strap to the sprayer as shown in Figs.1, 2 and 3.
- The hose is to be attached to the lance as well as the bottom of
the tank.
- Fill the tank to the maximum level (5 litres) and screw the
complete chamber tightly to the tank.
-Pressurize the unit by pumping twenty times with the plunger
handle. If maximum pressure is exceeded, a safety valve is
activated, releasing the air.
-To operate, squeeze the handle add adjust the nozzle to obtain
the desired spray. Pressure and spray intensity will drop with
use. Pump again to regain pressure.
- MAINTENANCE:
(Most frequent malfunctions and solutions).
- Clean the sprayer, trigger and hose of liquid, including filters
after each working day or use. This can be done by working
the device with clean water and adding a little household
detergent if desired.
-Avoid seals becoming dry by washing the equipment after work
and applying a few drops of oil at the points shown in Fig.4.
- If the nozzle is obstructed, clean it with a water jet or non-
metallic instrument.
- If the filter is blocked, release the filter cap and clean.
- SAFETY STANDARDS FOR HANDLING PHYTO-SANITARY
PRODUCTS:
- Storage - Store products in a safe area. This should be well
ventilated, locked and out of reach of children and animals.
Keep products in their original packaging and use the same
place to store mixing, preparation and application utensils.
-Preparation of product - Check that the product and treatment
equipment are not out of date and are in good condition. Read
and follow the instructions on product labels and in manuals.
Use suitable utensils for mixing and preparing and mark them
correctly. After preparation, wash your hands and face. Dispose
of empty packages and leftover products properly.
- Performing treatment - Use suitable protective equipment. Avoid
contact with the skin and eyes and do not eat, drink or smoke.
Do not apply in windy conditions or against the wind. Avoid
any product drifting into adjacent land and crops. Avoid any
drift into springs, streams or lakes, etc.
- Advice in case of poisoning - Go to the doctor with the product
label, or take the affected person to the nearest hospital. Do not
use home remedies and in all cases, wash the affected skin
areas with plenty of cool water.
- General precautions - Strictly follow the advice and instructions
shown on the labels of products marked "dangerous" and
"poisonous". Comply with the application time and expiry date
of each product. Do not spray in very hot weather. Take care
near electrical installations. Do not use flammable materials or
materials which might originate combustion processes. This
sprayer is to be used only with herbicides, insecticides and
fungicides for plants. Sprayers must be safety tested at least
once a year by specialist. At the time of manufacturing, the
manufacturer knows of no harmful influences on the material of
which the device is made by anti-parasite products authorized
by the German Federal Institute of Biology. Use only the
original manufacturer's 6-10mm diameter spray hose.
