Introduction JJIFA-IR4TX
Term of RC(Radio Control) sounds more popular around us even if
you are not a RC mania. Recently ,many Ghz RC receivers were
announced in the market. Also, user’s demand looking for much
smaller and lighter one is very high. If you are interested in
indoor plane , you already know about Infra red RC control devices.
It is small and light , even you can enjoy it with reasonable
price . But, technically, Infra red control has pros and cons.
It has short control range and cannot use under strong sunshine
because of its weakness against noise . In spite of these
disadvantages , still many people using Infra red control. Some
modules which enables to connect RF transceiver are in the market.
However , it is yet too far from users satisfaction because of its
low resolution and slow signal transmit speed.
As a hobby mania , we have been devoted our special interest to
develop improved Infra red control transmitter.
We are proud to announce JJIFA-IR4TX and will continue to improve
the performance .

•The stick which is not being centered is assigned to throttle control .
•position of throttle stick should be decided at PCB assembly.
(Attention) we recommend to put JS2 on the right side of PCB for
throttle stick .
If you want JS1 assign to throttle , you need to change harness wire.
If you don’t want change wire , you may CUT PCB center line and
switch its position .

•You can change the detail function settings on selected model.
•Factory setting default model number is “ 1 “.

OUT: 00 00 00 00
•STK : STICK value , changeable up to 0~63, 6 bit(resolution64)
•31 or 32 is a center POSITION value.
•STK of 4 value represent as below.
•First : Stick value of Up/Down (max/min) without throttle.
•Second : Stick value of Right/Left without throttle.
•Third : Stick value of UP/Down for throttle
•Fourth : Stick value of Right/Left on throttle side stick.
•OUT : output digital output value of stick channel .
•if you move sticks , this value will vary.
•OUT range is 0~63 (6 bit) for throttle.
•Except for throttle , other stick’s OUT value will vary from -31 to +31.
•It is convenient to check the output value after making a changes.
By pushing Mode switching button for 1 sec , you can return to Model
_ set .

•MODEL_SET call all setting value for this model.
•move up /down and ENTER to select.

•You can store maximum 9 Models.
•you can randomly save selected model .
•If you select number , you need enter 3 digit name of model.

•After entering 3rd character and ‘ENTER’ will save .
•if do ESC, you can cancel the save during input .

SET_DEFAULT
•set loaded value in memory to Default value .
•stored MODEL value will not be changed by this change.
•This is used when you did mistake in entering values and wants change.

•If you want a stick which has Elevator + Rudder in one
side and Throttle+Aileron in another side , you can select
this.
•This is set as DEFAULT.
•If you want a change to Elevator + Aileron in one side
and Throttle + Rudder in another side , use this .
•This setting should be done first when you finished PCB assembly .
•You will be noticed the detail changes of value in MODEL_SET
accordingly.
•After this setting , you can instantly see the switched position of
AILERON and RUDDER at IO_VIEW .
•This setting value will remain after power off .
•This setting value will be applied to all model.

•Shows firmware version.
Initializing all settings
•Before turn on power , stay pushing mode button and turn on power.
•Model number will show in a moment and initialize all model setting
values.
•STICK settings and MODEL value will be changed to DEFAULT.

•The order will change PPM output only .
•If you do overlapped the order , error message will appear when you
switch to Plane mode.

•Set Plane model .
•Set it by your plane type .
•NOR_2CH ~ NOR_4CH use for IR_PCM output( IR
output) mode .
•PPM output mode is 4CH .
•For IR-PCM mode , make 3 channel output.
•ELEVATOR and RUDDER will be mixing.
•V- tail will do a motion by Elevator key
•by Rudder key

V_TAIL
•By Elevator key control , produces a motion of up/down of
two tail surfaces at the same time and makes plane assent or
decent.
•By Rudder key control , two tail surfaces moves in opposite
direction and make a plane turn to right or left .
•In IR-PPM , makes 3 channel output.
•Elevator and Aileron will produce mixing.
•Often , used for flying wings or other tailless plane .
•Same as v-tail mixing, Elevator key has same function.
•Aileron key makes opposite movement direction of v-tail

•Often used for twin motor plane .
•Controlled by Throttle and Rudder key.
•Able to set Throttle and Rudder mixing by Twin-Mix setting
EPA
•EPA (End Point Adjustment)
•is used to set the travel value ( Min or Max ) of stick .
•EPA setting to 0 % means that stick is in neutral position.
•Up/down , Left/Right 100% is a DEFAULT.
•EPA can be adjusted within 100 % .
MMPA
•MMPA(Min Max PointAdjustment)
•is an opposite concept of EPA
use this function when you cannot get Min /Max output at
stick’s Min/Max point .
•For instance , you moved Throttle stick to MIN point
expecting “0” output . But output shows “ 5 “ in IO_VIEW
•This output makes an error message when you return to
plane mode .
•If you adjust THRO_MIN to “5 “ , Transmitter will send “ 0
“ output to receiver.
•You need to set this MIN/MAX at first stick output setting.
•EPA can be adjusted after MMPA setting , if needed.

•Each stick may have different MIN /MAX depend on
tolerance of resister value .
Ideal sticks has a range of 0 ~ 63. Normal sticks are in a
range of 10~ 50
By adjusting MMPA MIN/MAX , 0~100% output could be
attained .
CENTERING
•CENTERING is a software TRIMM .
•Available channel : Elevator, Rudder,Aileron
•Default value : 50%
•50% means the medium value of MAX/MIN at stick’s
middle point .
•Range varies 40%~60% .
•If you set 40% , even though stick is in the middle , you will
get 40 % output .
•It is convenient to use this function when plain tends to circle
in one direction . If you need beyond 40~60%
adjustment ,Please check your plane .

•T.CUT(Throttle Cut)
•Limits T.CUT value as a minimum Throttle output excluding “0 “

•T.CUT function enables to set minimum RPM of prop .
•You can maximize the stick resolution .

TWIN_MIX
•TWIN_MIX is only used when TWIN_M is set in Plane
STYLE and able to adjust Throttle and Rudder Mixing level .
•Setting range : 10~100%
•Higher value has higher movement in Rudder.
•In twin motor plane , if you have large flying circle radius , you
can use this and reduce it .

CARRIER
IR_PCM
•Transmitting Infra Red PCM(Pulse Code Modulation)
output . By Plane STYLE setting , sending 12~24 bit
signal .
•Emitting frequency : 38KHz
•DUTY CYCLE : 10%
•Packet per second : 25 times
•Output current consumption: 100mA
•PCM has less errors in signal transmitting compared to
PPM , but consumes more current .
•This model support only PCM for Infra Red.
PPM
•PPM(Pulse Position Modulation) is used to input
signal for PPM signal source Module .
•You can connect typical 2.4GHz transmit module
•(Module is not included )
•2.4GHz module has many other advantages in
operation.
•Packet per second : 50 times
•Output current consumption : 28mA
PPM_SET
•This setting is only applied when you set CARRIER as
PPM.

wave . User can set travel length with various kind of
