
1. Rack Mount Placement: In addition to placing VG7000 on a desktop, you may mount it to a rack. Attach one
rack mounting bracket on each side of the device front panel and secure each bracket with the provided
screws.
2. Connecting Power Cord: Plug one end of the power cord to the power connector on the rear panel of VG7000
and plug the other end of the power cord into a power outlet.
3. Connecting to LAN: You need to connect VG7000 to your existing Ethernet network. Connect an Ethernet
cable from the network RJ45 port on VG7000 to any 10/100BaseT RJ45 port on a switching hub.
4. Connecting Trunk Cables: Attach a cable from DSC/CSU equipment provided by your carrier or a PBX’s
T1/E1 interface if you prefer to set a tie line to a T1/E1 interface on VG7000.

Login to VG7000 Digital Gateway
1. Choose a browser-enable PC on LAN where the VG7000 is located. Change the computer’s IP settings to
conform to VG7000’s default settings, if necessary.
- Default IP Address: 192.168.1.202:89 (service port: 89)
- Default Gateway: 192.168.0.254
- Default Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
2. Launch the web browser. On the address bar, type the default IP address http://192.168.1.202:89.
3. You will be connected to the Administration website. Click the Login icon and log in using the default
password “1234”.
DGMonitor Program
Digital Gateway Monitor is a software program which can display real-time system status. It also provides log files
and event logs allowing you to analyze the connection and transmission status.
1. Login to VG7000. Click the Download Monitor icon to download and save the program to your computer.
2. Extract the setup.zip file and you will get setup.exe file.
3. Double click on the setup.exe. The DGMonitor will be installed automatically. When completes, you will find
it from Start>Programs>DSG>DGMonitor and a shortcut on your desktop.
4. Log in with your VG7000’s IP address, user name and password. The default user name is
“Administrator”and cannot be changed. The password is the same as the one you log in to VG7000.
5. After you logged in, you will see the trunk status and logs.
