DUAL-MAX™JUICER
Whether you are a dedicated juice fan or a newcomer looking
to enrich your diet, the Dual-Max™Juicer is designed to make
juicing an easy and quick addition to your lifestyle. With its 70mm
feeding tube and dual speed motor that can handle both hard
and soft fruit, you will be whizzing up delicious juices in no time.
Plus the dual stage micro mesh lter not only juices the fruit but
also the pulp, to give you more juice and less waste.
The Dual-Max™Juicer is part of Dualit’s range of hard-working,

Unpack the box with care, keeping all the packaging materials until you are satised

INSTRUCTIONS SAFE FOR FUTURE
REFERENCE.
Always follow these safety precautions when
using your Juicer for your own safety and to
avoid damaging the appliance.
• Unpack the box with care, keeping all the
packaging materials until you are satised
everything is present and in working order.
• Remove any packaging material and
promotional stickers and labels before using
the Juicer for the rst time.
• Do not place Juicer near the edge of a
work surface. Never let main cable hang
loose, nor remove plug with wet hands, nor
lay or hang on hot surfaces, nor let it come
into contact with oils.
• When you turn the Juicer on for the rst
time, a “new” smell may be given off, this
will dissipate after a few uses.
• Clean all parts in contact with food
before using for the rst time. Wash with
lukewarm water and detergent, then rinse
and dry (see details on page 10).
DANGER:
• Never immerse the motor unit in water or
any other liquid, nor rinse it under the tap.
WARNING:
• Check if the voltage indicated on the
appliance corresponds to the local power
voltage before you connect the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance if the plug,
the main cord or other components are
damaged. Never carry or pull the appliance
by the cord.
• If the power cord is damaged, you must
have it replaced by Dualit; a service center
authorised by Dualit or similarly qualied
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be
supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the
appliance.
• This is an attended
appliance. Do not
leave appliance
unattended during
use. Unplug appliance when
unattended or not in use.
• Always check the micro mesh lter before
use. If you detect any damage or crack, do
not use the appliance.
• Never reach into the feeding tube with
your ngers or an object while the appliance
is running. Only use the plunger for this.
• If food becomes jammed and cannot be
dislodged using plunger, turn off the unit,
unplug from outlet and disassemble unit to
remove food.
• Do not touch the small cutting blades in
the base of the micro mesh lter. They
are very sharp. Handle the mesh lter with
care when removing, replacing and cleaning.
Never touch moving parts. Keep ngers,
clothing, utensils and hair away from moving
parts.
• The use of attachments not recommended
or sold by Dualit may cause re, electric
shock or injury.
• Do not operate the Juicer after appliance
malfunctions.
• Do not operate the Juicer if it is dropped
and shows signs of damage.Return
appliance to the nearest Authorised
Service Centre for examination, repair or
electrical or mechanical adjustment when
there is any indication of damage.
• We recommend that the appliance is
plugged into a socket that has no other
appliance connected to it. Failure to do this
may cause an overload, trip a circuit breaker
or blow a fuse. Preferably the socket outlet
should be protected by a Residual Current
device (RCD).
CAUTION:
• This appliance is intended for household use
only. If the appliance is used improperly, for
professional, semi-professional purposes or if
it is not used according to these instructions,
the guarantee becomes invalid and Dualit
refuses any liability for damage caused.
• Never use any accessories or parts
from other manufacturers. If you use
such accessories or parts, your guarantee
becomes invalid.
• Make sure all parts are correctly assembled
before you switch on the appliance.
• Only use the appliance when the locking
arm is locked.
• Only unlock the locking arm after
you have switched off the appliance
and the micro mesh lter has
stopped rotating.
• Do not remove the pulp container when
the appliance is operating.
• Ensure the power cord is full extracted
from the main body before use.
• Do not let the appliance run for more than
2 minutes without interruption. If you have
not nished extracting juice, switch off the
appliance and let it cool down for 2 minutes
before you continue.
• Do not use outdoors, in moving vehicles,
boats or caravans.
• Noise level: Lc=86 dB(A).
• Always ensure the Juicer is turned off by
turning the control knob to “0”. Then
switch the appliance off at the power outlet
and unplug the cord. Make sure the micro
mesh lter has stopped rotating before
releasing the safety locking arm and/or
attempting to move the appliance, when the
Juicer is not in use, and before disassembling,
cleaning and storing.
• Do not throw away the appliance with the
normal household waste at the end of its
life, but hand it in at an ofcial collection
point for recycling. By doing this, you help
to preserve the environment.

Do not let the appliance run for more than 2 minutes without interruption. If you have not
nished extracting juice, switch off the appliance and let it cool down for 2 minutes before

JUICING TIPS
• Add some ice cubes to the jug.
• Experiment with different fruit and vegetable combinations, visit www.dualit.com/
club-dualit for recipe ideas and a 3 day juice plan.
• Drink your juice soon after being extracted for maximum taste and nutritional value.
• Leave juice to settle for 60 seconds before serving.
• Push down slowly on the plunger to extract the maximum amount of juice.
• Let the motor run on for a few seconds after juicing until the juice stops owing.
• Peel citrus fruits or any fruits with a thick peel before inserting and
remove pips or stones before juicing.
• Foods with high starch content are not suitable for juicing; these will clog up the
mesh lter e.g. mangoes, bananas and papayas. Use the Dualit Blender or Hand

• When juicing different fruit and vegetables it may help to juice in different
combinations. For example, when juicing apples and oranges, juice the soft fruit
(oranges) rst, then follow with the hard fruit (apples) second. This will help you to
achieve the maximum juice extraction from the fruit and vegetables.
• When juicing fresh herbs such as mint or parsley, add the herbs in between the fruit
and vegetables to get the most out of the herb or if only using a small quantity, add
the herb at the same time as a piece of fruit and vegetable.
• When juicing small fruit such as grapes or strawberries, add the fruit in handfuls
rather than one at a time, this will maximise the amount of juice extracted.
• Add a few drops of lemon juice to apple juice to slow down discolouration.

• 2 apples

• 1 fennel bulb
• Handful of spinach
• 1 peeled lime
• Ice
Pack the spinach tightly between the 2
apples. Peel the lime leaving the pith on
and juice everything, pour over the ice.
A juice that tastes like liquorice- a great anti
inflammatory and helpful for indigestion.
MEMORYADE
• 2 apples
• Large bunch of red or purple grapes
• Large handful blueberries
• Ice
Put the whole bunch of grapes and the
blueberries into the juicer pack down tightly
and juice on slow speed. Juice the apples
on fast speed. Pour over ice. Sip slowly.
A recent study suggested that drinking
purple grape juice could reduce or even
reverse memory loss and apples help to
boost the brain’s production of
acetylcholine, a chemical essential for
memory and brain health.
ROOT JUICE
• 2 apples
• ½ beetroot (raw and unpeeled)
• 2 carrots
• 1 parsnip
• ¼ lemon (unwaxed and unpeeled)
Juice everything.
This juice is full of root vegetables which
are slow growing and therefore packed
with nutrients including potassium and
magnesium.
Beetroot is nature’s best blood builder
and cleanser and helps to reduce blood
pressure by reducing hardening of the
arteries. Parsnips are packed with potassium
and help reduce blood pressure too.
CLEANSING
COCKTAIL

• ⅓lemon (unwaxed and unpeeled)
• 150ml coconut water
The pears contain levulose which is a sugar
more easily tolerated by diabetics.

GINGER BEER
• 1 apple
• Large chunk ginger to taste
(2/3 thumb size bits)
Juice the apple and ginger and pour this
into a bottle of sparkling mineral water
(you will have to drink some water first
to make room for the juice).
This ginger beer is so much better than
shop bought which is usually packed with
sugar, alcohol or both.
TALL AND
TANGY
• ¼ pineapple
• 1 apple
• ½ grapefruit (peeled but leave as much
pith as possible)
• 1 raw unpeeled beetroot
• ½ peeled lime
• 125 ml coconut water
Juice everything add the coconut water
then make up to 1 litre with mineral water.
Lighter than a juice as its diluted with
mineral water so it helps to flush the
system of impurities. Grapefruit breaks
down and shifts inorganic calcium from
the joints and stimulates digestion.
Coconut milk is an excellent source of
protein, calcium and iron.
MANGETOUT
RODNEY
• 2 apples
• ¼ pineapple
• Large handful spinach
• Large handful mangetout
• Broccoli stem
• 2 sticks celery
Mangetout is an excellent source of folic acid
essential for cell DNA synthesis and vitamin
K for bone growth and for reducing the
effects of Alzeimers.
SPICY TOMATO
CHILLI OUT
• 2rmtomatoes
• 2 celery stalks
• ½ cucumber
• ½ courgette
• ½ green pepper
• 1 broccoli stalk
• 1 large carrot
• Large handful of any leafy greens
(spinach. kale, cabbage, lettuce)
Juice and add sea salt, ground black pepper,
chilli powder or cayenne pepper to taste.
Perfect for people who prefer a more
savoury or spicy juice.
WATERMELON
AND MINT
• 2 cups watermelon of choice
(no need to peel or remove seeds)
• Large handful of kale
• 1 large cucumber
• 1 stalk celery
• 6/7 fresh mint leaves
• ½ waxfree unpeeled lime
Pack the melon into the bottom of the
chute and juice on the slow speed first,
then add the remaining ingredients and
juice on high.
This rejuvenating juice cools the body
and is the perfect fusion of summer flavours.
Cleanses the kidneys and purifies the skin.
HERBIE JUICE
• 2 apples
• 2 carrots
• 4 sprigs of each of the following:
• Fresh Coriander
• Fresh basil
• Fresh mint
• ½ peeled lime
Squeeze the herbs together in your hand
and pack tightly with the lime between
the 2 apples. Juice everything. Pour over
ice and enjoy.
Coriander is a rich source of vitamin K
which is important for promoting bone
growth and limiting neurone damage in
the brain. This juice is packed with minerals
including potassium and calcium.
CELLULITE
BUSTER
• 1 apple
• 1 pear
• 2 sticks celery
• ½ Grapefruit (peeled but leave
as much pith as possible)
• Small bunch of fresh mint for juicing
• Chopped fresh mint to serve.
Pack the mint and grapefruit between the
apple and pear and juice. Juice the celery.
Pour over ice and sprinkle chopped mint
on top.
The celery, apple and pear help to cleanse
the subcutaneous tissues and the grapefruit
helps to unclog the lymphatic system.
SERGEANT
PEPPER
• ¼ pineapple
• 2 apples
• ¼ red pepper
• ¼ green pepper
• ¼ yellow pepper
• ¼ orange pepper
• ½ cucumber
Juice the lot.
Peppers are fruits and they all start life
green, the different colours are just different
stages of ripeness. You can use one whole
pepper of your choice if you don’t have
different ones. They are packed with silicon
which is great for skin, hair and nails.

Perfect for any activity, pack in your
rucksack, golf or Gym bag! This juice has
the ideal balance of Sodium and Potassium
which help to prevent the build up of lactic
acid and cramps. The coconut water is
isotonic and helps replace any lost minerals
and fluid. The beetroot is full of Nitrates
which recent studies have shown lead to a
reduction in oxygen uptake making
exercise less tiring.
DETOX DREAM
• 2 apples
• 1 pear
• 1 carrot
• 1 stick celery
• ½ cucumber
• ½ yellow or red pepper
• 1 small raw beetroot
• 1 broccoli stem
• ½ unwaxed unpeeled lemon
Contains a rainbow of coloured vegetables
providing optimum nutrition whilst allowing
the body to detox naturally. Apples are the
king of any detox as the soluble fibre they
contain (pectin) forms a gel in the intestines
helping to sweep the gut and eliminate
toxins. The lemon cleans the liver and
kidneys.
SUNSHINE IN
A GLASS
• ½ pineapple (scrubbed, no need
to peel)
• 1 pink grapefruit or large orange if you
don’t like grapefruit
• Thumb size chunk of unpeeled ginger
• Sparkling mineral water
Juice everything. Pour over ice in a tall glass
and top up with sparkling water with a ratio
of juice to water of 2:1. Sit back in the sun;
rehydrate, rejuvenate and enjoy!
JOINT JUICE
• 2 stalks celery
• ¼ pineapple
• ½ peeled grapefruit
• 12 pitted cherries
Pack the cherries in the juicer first and
squash them down with the other
ingredients.
The celery dislodges inorganic calcium
from the joints and the grapefruit helps
to dissolve them. Cherry juice is widely
acclaimed to relieve gout.

TROUBLESHOOTING
POSSIBLE CAUSE(S) SOLUTION(S)
THE JUICER DOES NOT TURN ON
The unit may not be properly connected
to the power supply. Check the plug is in the socket and the switch is turned on.
The juicer hasn’t been assembled
correctly. Switch off and unplug the appliance, see page 7 to set up your juicer.
UNPLEASANT SMELL OR NOISE
The motor unit gives off an unpleasant
smell the rst few times the appliance is
used.
This is not unusual. If the appliance continues to
give off this smell after a few times, check the
quantities you are processing and the processing
time. After the appliance has been running for
2 minutes, switch it off and let it cool down for
2 minutes.
The appliance makes a lot of noise,
continues to give off an unpleasant smell,
is too hot to touch, gives off smoke, etc.
Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Contact

652 500 or your authorised service centre.
THE JUICER STRUGGLES DURING OPERATION
The pulp container is full. Empty the pulp container.
Pulp is caught in the juicer lid. Stop juicing, switch off the appliance and unplug
it, remove the juicer lid and clean out pulp (see
page 10). Try a slower juicing action - guide the
plunger down the feed tube in a
slow downward motion.
Stainless steel micro mesh lter is blocked
with excess pulp. After extended juicing of brous fruit and vegetables the mesh on the lter may need to
be cleaned. Stop juicing, switch off the appliance
and unplug it, disassemble the juicer and clean
the micro mesh lter.
REDUCED JUICE YIELD
Large amounts of highly brous fruit and
vegetables have caused excess pulp to
build up in the micro mesh lter.
Stop juicing, switch off the appliance and unplug
it, remove the juicer lid and clean out pulp (see
page 10).
THE JUICER IS VIBRATING STRONGLY
The micro mesh lter may be touching
the feeding tube and is vibrating strongly
during processing.
Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Check if
the micro mesh lter is placed properly in the
work bowl. The ribs in the bottom of the lter
have to t properly onto the driving shaft. Check
if the lter is damaged; cracks, crazes, a loose
grating disc or any other irregularity may cause
malfunction. Contact Dualit on [phone]
500 or your authorised service centre.
GUARANTEE
This appliance is of excellent quality and construction. However, if any defects in
materials or workmanship do appear during the relevant guarantee period, we will, at
our discretion, either repair or replace the defective parts, free of charge, subject to the
terms and conditions of our Guarantee shown below.
This Guarantee covers both parts and
labour. Carriage is not included.
Your Guarantee period is as follows:
• 1 year
This Guarantee provides benets which
are additional to, and do not affect, your
statutory rights. This Guarantee does not
cover the cost of returning the product to
the dealer from whom it was purchased or
to ourselves. This Guarantee applies only
to products sold and located in mainland
Great Britain. It does not cover liability in
respect of or replacement of plugs, cables
or fuses and also does not cover defects
due to:
• Failure to use or maintain product in
accordance with Dualit’s instructions.
• The product being connected to an
unsuitable electricity supply.
• Accidental damage to or abuse or misuse
of the product.
• Product modication, except by Dualit or
approved agent.
• Dismantling of or interference with the
product.
• Theft or attempted theft of the product.
Before returning any product under this
Guarantee, please check that:
• You have followed the product
instructions correctly.
• Your mains electricity supply is functional.
• The defect is not due to a blown fuse.
If you wish to claim under this guarantee
you should:
• Send the product, postage or carriage
paid, to the dealer from whom it was
purchased or to Dualit direct.
• Ensure that the product is clean and
packed carefully (preferably in its original
carton).
• Enclose details of your name, address
and telephone number and when and
where the product was purchased,
together with proof of purchase (e.g. a
till receipt).
• Give exact details of the nature of the
defect.
This Guarantee does not cover any other
claims whatsoever, including, without
limitation, any liability for incidental,
indirect or consequential damage, nor
does it cover any claims for conversion
or modication or for the costs of repair
carried out by any third party without the
prior consent of Dualit. If replacement
