2. INSERTING THE BATTERIES
The Easy Control remote requires 2 x AAA alkaline batteries (1.5V).
Use the programming tool to press the
release catch on the right hand side of
the unit. The front of the unit can then be
removed from the back casing revealing
the circuit board.
Insertthebatteriesonthecircuitboardbeing
careful not to touch any components.
Next, replace the front cover by rst inserting the two lugs marked ‘A’ on the
drawing below into the front cover then press the two parts together until the
release catch engages.

3. DESCRIPTION OF THE EASY CONTROL UNIT

4. SETTING THE CLOCK/DAY
Press the clock-setting button (17) once, the hour section in the screen will start
to ash. The hour can be changed with the increase/decrease buttons. (15).
Press the clock-setting button (17) again, the minutes section will start to ash.
The minutes can be changed with the increase/decrease buttons.
Press the clock-setting button (17) again, the days section will start to ash. The
days can be changed with the increase/decrease buttons.
NOTE: The initials of the days are in French.

Press the clock-setting button (17) again and the clock and days are set.
5. OPERATING MODES
With the Mode Selector button (1), it is possible to move between the Programme
or Mode Overide commands to be sent to the heater. Each press moves to the
next mode:
Programming Mode• : the programme mode symbol (3) appears
together with the Comfort (4) or Economy (6), according to the mode
programmed for the current time.
Comfort Mode• : the Comfort symbol (4) is displayed.
Off Mode• : the Off symbol (5) is displayed.
Economy Mode• : the Economy symbol (6) is displayed.
Frost Protection Mode• : the Frost Protection mode (7) is displayed.
Room Temperature:• In this mode the Easy Control remote becomes a
thermometer displaying the current room temperature in ºC
Note: In all operating modes except Room Temperature the time and day are
dispayed as well as the symbols.
Note: If the Room Temperature is transmitted to the heater previously set
programmes in the heater will be removed.

Note:
The Required Temperature, is the temperature that you want in the room. When
the temperature of the room is lower than the required temperature, the heater
will produce heat. When the temperature of the room is equal to or above the
required temperature the heater will stop producing heat.
Comfort Mode: First we must set the required room temperature for when the
heater is operating in Comfort Mode. This is acheived by pressing the Comfort
temperature button (18) and then pressing the Increase/Decrease button
(15) until the required temperature is reached. To save the required Comfort
temperature press the Comfort temperature button (18). If you want the heater
to operate in Comfort Mode press the transmit button (9)
Economy Mode: First we must set the required room temperature for when
the heater is operating in Economy Mode. This is acheived by pressing the
Economy temperature button (19) and then pressing the Increase/Decrease
button (15) until the required temperature is reached. To save the required
Economy temperature press the Economy temperature button (19). If you want
the heater to operate in economy Mode press the transmit button (9)
Frost Protection Mode: To select this mode press the Mode select button (1)
until the following symbol appears in the screen If this mode is sent to the
heater by pressing the Transmit button (9) it will produce heat when the room
temperature is equal to or below 7ºC. When the room temperature is above
7ºC the heater will stop producing heat. This is very useful in order to avoid risk
of freezing and dampness, especially when the house is unoccupied for long
periods)
Off Mode: To select this mode press the Mode select button (1) until the
following symbol appears in the screen If this mode is sent to the heater by
pressing the Transmit button (9) it will switch to standby and will not produce
heat whatever the room temperature. The heater will still be able to receive
orders from the Easy Control remote allowing other modes such as comfort to
be set.
Programming Mode: To select this mode press the Mode select button (1) until
the following symbol appears in the screen When the Programme mode is
sent to the heater by pressing the Transmit button (9) it will heat the room at the
times, and to the Comfort or Economy temperatures set on the Easy Control
remote.
Room Temperature: To select this mode press the Mode select button (1) until
the temperature appears in the screen - this will be the current room temperature.
By pressing the Transmit button (9) all previous information sent to the radiator
will be deleted and it will be possible to set the temperature manually using the
heater thermostat knob.

6. TRANSMITTING INFORMATION TO THE HEATER
The transmission of information between the radiator and the control unit is
via infrared. When sending information to the heater the Easy Control must be
pointed towards the control end of the heater.
No objects should be between the Easy Control and the heater. Once the heater
is correctly installed and connected, switch on the radiator by the main switch.
On the Easy Control press the Mode Select button (1) to select the Operating
Mode that you want to send to the heater, and then press the Transmit button
(9) to send the information.
IMPORTANT:
When the heater is receiving an order, there is a ashing dot between both
numbers of the display of the radiator for a brief time.
When the heater has been programmed with the remote control unit, it is not
possible to change the temperature with the thermostat knob.
If you want to change the temperature again with the thermostat knob you must
rst delete the information in the radiator by following the steps indicated in the
Room Temerature mode section of this manual.
7. SETTING THE EASY CONTROL PROGRAMME
The Easy Control programme is set with the micro-switches (11 & 12). The
Programming tool xed to the ap of the remote is provided to asssist with
moving the switches. For each day of the week, you can select between two
different 24hr programmes (Prog 1 or Prog 2).
To select a program for a particular day of the week, move the corresponding
days micro-switch to the required position.(Prog 1 or Prog 2).
In this example, from Monday to Friday, the heater will operate
with Program 1 and from Saturday to Sunday with Program 2.

Monday to Friday: the radiator will operate with Programme 1:
Comfort: from 6 to 8, from 11 to 13 and from 16 to 23.•
Economy : from midnight to 6, from 8 to 11, from 13 to 16 and from 23•
to midnight.
Saturday & Sunday: the radiator will operate with Programme 2:
Comfort: from 6 to 23.•
Economic: from midnight to 6 and from 23 to midnight.•
Each hour of both 24hr Programmes can be set to Comfort or Economy as
required by moving the micro-switches (11 or 12). Moving the micro-switch
up to the ‘sun’ symbol will set the corresponding hour to Comfort mode and
moving the switch down to the ‘moon’ symbol will set the corresponding hour to
Economy mode.
8. RESET OF THE EASY CONTROL UNIT
If the Easy Control fails to work properly, it can be reset in the follwoing way:
Simultaneously press the Transmit button (9) and the Reset Button which is
located between the batteries (it is necessary to remove the back cover of the
control unit).
Release the Reset button and then release the Transmit button (9).
‘init’ will appear on the screen for a few seconds then the Easy Control will be
reset showing;
Clock: 0h 00•
Day of week: Monday (lun)•
Mode: Off (symbol Off on the screen)•
