These instructions will cover the installation of the Traditional Gazebo as well as
the Premier and Classic roof options. Installing this gazebo takes two people.
DuraMax and its vendors are not responsible for careless or faulty installation.
Please check all local building and safety codes before beginning installation.

Planning & Layout
Post Layout
This is the most important step of the gazebo
installation process. It is critical that the gazebo
posts be placed correctly and that they are level
and plumb.
1Ensure your slab or deck is level. (Gazebo posts
can be cut at the bottom to compensate for up
to (5”) ve inches of slope).
2Locate and mark the center point of your
installation site. (the center of the slab or deck
where the gazebo will sit).
3Determine dimension size (B) for your size
gazebo.
4Decide where your gazebo doorway will be
and begin layout on the right of the doorway
(doorway post “ A “ ).
5Snap a chalk line ( chalk line “a”) from outside
edge of post “ A ” through center point of
gazebo and past edge of dimension (B).
6Using a carpenters square or the 3-4-5 method,
snap a line ( chalk line “ b“ ) at a 90 degree angle
to (chalk line “a”) bisecting the center point of
the gazebo.
7Locate dimension (A) from chart and mark
center point of rst four posts.
8To locate remaining posts, measure from center
point (post “A”) to center point (post “B”) to
obtain dimension (C).
9Make a mark at the 1/2 way point of dimension
(C) , snap a line (chalk line “c”) bisecting this
mark and the center point of the gazebo.
10 Repeat step 7 to locate remaining posts
Check dimension (C) for all posts.
Posts must be accurate to proceed.

POST TOWER INSTALLATION
1Drill 1/2” holes in slab for wedge anchors (WS-1226 or
equivalent required) at diagonally opposite corners of
insert base plate. Align post towers and mark required
holes before drilling.
2Check holes for accuracy before inserting anchors, as they
are not removable.
3Center and level post tower using carpenters or post level
(shim as necessary using fender washers) and bolt to slab.
Repeat until all towers are in position.
Post towers must not have any play. The strength of the
gazebo starts here.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: RAFTER ASSEMBLY
1Insert 2” x 6” Main Rafters (G) into posts and secure with 1” pins provided. *(Pins must
be installed with slot facing the outer perimeter of the gazebo). This process should be
completed prior to sleeving the vinyl posts over the aluminum post towers. (Fig A)
2Insert 4” center core into 6”Center Support (D) and secure with 3” screws. *Screw
should not penetrate the outside of the support tube. (Fig B)
3Slide base trim (I) over steel post towers . *
4For electrical ready gazebos, choose the wiring post and run the wire up and through
the rafter. *
* This must be done prior to sliding vinyl posts over aluminum post towers.
Step 2: RAFTER INSTALLATION - MAIN ROOF
1Sleeve the vinyl posts (K) into position over the aluminum towers (K-1) (Fig. C)
2Raise center support (D) into position and insert main rafters (G) into pre-routed slots.
See (Fig. D)
3Secure main-rafters into center support with a 1” screw. This will prevent them from
slipping while the remainder of the gazebo is installed. (Fig. E)
*Apply inward pressure to the top of the post to assist in locking in main rafters. This step must be
done with two people.
Step 3a: PAGODA ROOF - Classic & Premier Models Only
1Assemble pagoda support (F) into pagoda rafter (B). Insert pagoda rafter (B) into
center support (D) and slide pagoda support (D) rmly into main rafter (G). Fig. F
* The long end of the pagoda support (F) inserts into the main rafter (G) and the short end inserts
into pagoda rafter (B)

Step 3b: CUPOLA ROOF - Premier Model Only
1Insert cupola supports through pagoda rafters and into main rafters. Fig. G
2Attach cupola rafter onto cupola support and insert into center support tube. Fig. G
Step 4: ROOF PANEL INSTALLATION
1Slide center collar (E) over center support (D) and attach the center support cap.
2Insert roof panels. The roof panel kits for each level are interchangeable and may be
used in any of the eight sections. Main roof, pagoda roof, and cupola roof are all
assembled in the same manner. Fig. H
“Roof panel assembly must begin from the upper most roof level.”
3Insert the upper railing sections (L).
4Install fascia proles (H) (fascia boards are a tight t and require extra eort to install. The
use of a rubber mallet is recommended.
5Attach end caps (M) with PVC glue provided.
NOTE: Railing Sections, Fascia and End Caps must be installed as each roof level is completed.
6Assemble and Insert lower rail sections and secure with screws on underside of rail. Fig I.
7Thread tension cable through outermost pin of each post. Pull cable to remove all sag
and use cable end locks to secure. Tighten cable using pliers or a screwdriver as leverage.
*Turnbuckle should be turned to its full open position when installing the cable
8Adjust all railing sections to obtain level reveals.
Your gazebo is now complete. See warranty card for cleaning and care instructions.
