CHOOSINGTHE POWER SOURCES
You can use the ACpower or batteriesas apower source.
1.ConnectingtheACpower
cord
Insert one end of thesupplied ACpower cordinto
the socket located at the rear of the player,andthe
otherend to the wall outlet.
2.Using the playeron batteries
Insert 6size “C”batteries(not supplied)into the
battery compartment.
Touse the player on batteries, disconnect and
remove the ACpower cord both fromback of the
playerand thewall outlet.

Insert new batteriesas
shown.
Replace thebatteries
whenthePOWER lamp
dimsorwhen theplayer
stopsoperating.Replace
allthebatterieswithnew
ones.Beforeyoureplace
thebatteries,be sureto
takeouttheCDfromthe
player andrememberto
check the BatterySafety
Instructions onPage3.
•If the CD does not play
on batteries, thismeans
thebatteriesare almost
used up.Butthe radio
maycontinuetoplayon

On PowerSources
•For battery operation, use 6size “C”
batteries. Werecommend alkaline
batteriesforlongerlife.
•When the batteries willnotbeused
for afewweeksor more, removethem
to avoid damage that can be caused
by battery leakage orcorrosion.

On Operation
•If the playerisbrought directly froma
cold to awarmlocation,or isplaced
inavery damproom,moisturemay
condense onthe lens inside the CD
player section. Should thisoccur,the
player will not operate properly.In
this case, remove theCD and wait
aboutan hourfor themoisture to
evaporate.
On Placement
•Donotleavetheplayerinalocation
near aheat source, or in aplace
subject to directsunlight,excessive
dust ormechanicalshock.
•Do not placethe player onan inclined
orunstable place.
•Donot placeanything within 1inchof
thebackofthecabinet.The
ventilation holesmust not be covered
for the player to operate properlyand
prolong the lifeof itscomponents.
•If the playerisleftin acar parkedin
the sun, be sure to choose alocation
in the car where theplayerwill notbe
subjectedtothedirectraysofthe
sun.
•Sinceastrongmagnet isused forthe
speakers, keeppersonalcredit cards
usingmagneticcoding or springwound
watches away fromthe player to
preventpossibledamage fromthe
magnets.
•ThisCD player isdesigned tobe
playedon astable no vibration
position.Ifyoubumpthesetduring
CDplay,themusicwillstoporskipfor
afewseconds. Thisisnormal for this
type of player.

amild detergentsolution.Do notuse

If the lensbecomesdirty,it may
causeaskipping of sound during CD
operation. Clean with a commercially
available lenscleanerand blower.
•Afterplaying, storethe CD in itscase.
If there isascratch,dirt orfingerprints
on theCD,it maycause atracking
erroror skipping.
•Donot stick paper or stickers on the
CD,nor scratch theCD.
•Do not exposethe CDtodirect
sunlight or heat sources such as hot
airducts,norleave it inacar parked
indirectsunlightasthere canbea
considerablerise intemperature inside
the car.
•Donotuse solventssuch as benzine,
