10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

12. Use only with cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the
apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid

13. Unplug this apparatus during lightening storms or when unused for long periods of time.
14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been
damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects
have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate
normally or has been dropped.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Power Sources - The appliance should be connected to a power supply only of the type
described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.
2. Wall or Ceiling Mounting - The appliance should not be mounted to a wall or ceiling.
3. Object and Liquid Entry - Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids
are not spilled into the enclosure through openings.
4. Servicing - The user should not attempt to service the appliance beyond that described in the operating
instructions. All other servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.
5. Do not connect FM antenna wire to any outdoor antenna.
CAUTION
Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified
herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
This compact disc player is classified as CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT as stated on the
bottom of the set.
Do not apply oil or petroleum products or solvents to any part of this set.

1. Setting the Clock
1Connect the AC power cord into a live wall outlet.
3Hold the TIME button down,
and press the MINUTE
button until the right minute
time shows in the display.
Hold the TIME button down,
and press the HOUR button,
until the right hour time shows
in the display.

Clock display will show 12:00 .
PM indication lights up
for PM time.
If the plug of the AC power cord does not
match your outlet, do not force it.
Reverse it and try again. This plug is
polarized and only fits one way into the
wall outlet.

2. Playing a CD
1Press the POWER
button to turn on the
power, make sure the
POWER lamp is on.
Slide the FUNCTION
switch to CD position.
3Close the CD DOOR by
pushing it down at the right
corner. The display will show
the total track number of the
disc for 5 seconds, then go
back to clock time display.

Press the CD DOOR
OPEN button to open the
CD Door and place the CD
in the CD compartment.
The label side of the CD
should face upward.

Press the CD PLAY button. The
player plays all the tracks once.
Press the CD DISPLAY button,
the display will show the track
number of current play.
Connect the AC power cord (see Setting the Clock).

During CD play, the display still shows CLOCK time, press CD DISPLAY
button if you want CD display.

Use these buttons for additional operations

Tip
When CD play is

4. Playing CD tracks repeatedly (Repeat Play)
To repeat Press (during play)
a single track (song) Press the REPEAT button once

CD position.

5. Playing CD in programmed order
To cancel Programmed Play
Press the STOP button to stop programmed play. Press the STOP button again after
pressing the PROGRAM button or press the CD DOOR OPEN button to open the CD
door, and the PROGRAM lamp goes off.

You can make a program of up to 20 tracks in the order you want them to be played.

1. Press the POWER button to turn on the power
and slide the FUNCTION switch to CD position.
Make sure the CD is stopped.
2. Press the PROGRAM button. The letters
P01 will show and the PROGRAM lamp will
flash.
3. Press or to select the tracks you want
to program in the order you want.
4. Press the PROGRAM button to confirm. The
letters P02 will show.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4. You can program up to
20 tracks.
6. Press to start programmed play. The
PROGRAM lamp will show steadily on the
display.
To change the current program
Just create a new program following the programming procedure.

6. Listening to the radio
Connect the supplied AC power cord (see Setting the Clock).
Press the POWER button to
ON and slide the FUNCTION
switch to RADIO position.

Slide the BAND switch to the proper
band position that you want.
Tune into the station you prefer using
the TUNING CONTROL. Adjust for the
clearest sound.

desired loudness.
Press the POWER button to turn off the
power and the Radio, the POWER lamp
will go off.

To improve broadcast reception
FM ANTENNA
Fully stretch out the FM ANTENNA for better FM reception.
Reorient the player itself for better AM reception.
Or locate the set near a window.

BATTERY COMPARTMENT
(at the bottom of the set)
PHONES jack
To listen without disturbing others
Connect your headphones (optional - not included) into the PHONES jack at the back
of the set. The speaker will automatically be silenced. Remember to unplug the
headphones if you want the set to wake you up in the morning.
To use battery backup
Install a 9V battery for Clock backup, so that if your home power is momentarily off, you
will not have to set up the time & alarm settings.
Note: The display will not show the time but the time will be kept in memory and will re-
appear when power is restored.
