Bear inmind that batterylifeexpectancyisbased upon volumeand bass listening
levels.
Maximumbatterypowerconsumptionhappensat maximumsettings.Typicallife for2
size AA”alkalinebatteriesisabove8hoursofcontinuousCD play.
NOTE: You mayuserechargeablebatterieson thisset. However,because
rechargeablebatteriesgenerallyhavelowervoltage(1.2voltsinsteadof
1.5volts).Yourplayingtimewillbemuchless thannormalfreshalkaline
batteries.
PowerthisCDplayer byinserting 2size AA”freshalkaline batteries,orusingthe
provided Cigarette Lighter Adaptor.
TIPSONBATTERYUSE
Reversing polaritieswill damage the batteriesand possiblyyour set. Be sure to
follow polarity(+and -)asindicated.
Do not mixdifferent typestogether (Alkaline, Carbon-Zinc, Nickel-Cadmiumetc.),
or oldbatterieswithnew ones.
When not inusefor an extended period of time, or whileinternalbatterieswill not
be used, removethem to prevent possibleacidleakage or corrosion resulting in
damage to your player.
When the batterieshavebecomedischarged, theymustbe disposed of inasafe
manner that complieswithall applicablelaws.
Installation of batteriesshouldonlybe done byan adult (for safety).
1. USINGWITHBATTERIES
Insert 2size AA”alkaline batteriesaccording to
the +and -markingson the bottomof the set.
2. AC ADAPTOR (OPTIONAL)
WhiletheCDisplaying,if thealkalinebatteriesareweakor discharged, thissymbol
”showsor flashesinthe display,then the power automaticallyturnsoff. If this
occurs,replaceboth alkaline batteries(alsoif the displaydoesnot show anything, the
batteriesare dead).
WHEN SHOWS INTHE DISPLAYY
Youcan alsopowerthisCD playerbyconnecting an optionalACadaptor. Beforeyou
buyanoptionalACAdaptor,pleasenote, theonly ACADAPTOR suitablefor thisplayer
is DC4.5V 600mA (orgreater),withpluscenterpolarity .Othersmaydamage
your player.Pleasecheck voltageand current(mA)beforebuying an AC ADAPTOR.
NOTE:Playerwillnotwork,andbatterieswillbe
drained,if batteriesare notinsertedas
shownonthebottomof theset.

3.USINGCIGARETTELIGHTER ADAPTOR
CAUTION:
•Usethis setonly with thesuppliedcigarettelighteradaptor.Use withothercigarette
lighter adaptorscoulddamage theset.
•When theinsideofthe cigarettelighter socketis dirtywith ashes,theplugsection
maybecomehotduetopoorcontact.Besuretocleanyourcarcigarettelighter
socket before use.
•Afteruse, disconnectthe cigarettelighteradaptorplugsfromboththe setandthe
cigarette lighter socket.
•The cigarette lighteradaptor maycauseinterferencewithreception to the car
radio. If thishappens,disconnectthe cigarette lighter adaptor from thecigarette
lightersocket.
•Do not leavethe cigarette lighter adaptor plugged inwithout yourcar’smotor
running, your car’sbatterymaydraininsomemodelsof carsthat supplypower
tothecigarette lighteradaptor evenwiththecar’skeys removed.
Usethe cigarette lighter adaptor to supply
powertoyour playerandconservebatterylife
when using theCDplayerinacar(nobatteries
areneeded).
•Plugtheadaptorintothe car’scigarette
lighter.Insertfirmly,andthe cigarettelighter
indicatorwilllightup.
•Plug theotherendintotheDC4.5Vjack on
theleftrear of theset.

If there isno power,your adaptor’sinternalfusemayhaveblown. Tochange
fuseon cigarette lighter adaptor,unscrew the tip. Replaceonlywithsame1A
120/250V fuse.

The LINE OUT jack ismade to accept astereo miniplug (3.5mm). Simplyconnectthe
cable’sminiplug to the LINE OUTjack on your player,and the other appropriate end
usuallyRCA JACKS to the CD/AUX INPUTS of your homestereo.

The car cassette adaptor allowsyouto useyour CD player withyourcar stereo
cassettesystem.
1.Insertthe carcassetteadaptorinthe samedirection
asyouwouldinsert an audiocassette tape, withthe
side markedTHIS SIDEUPfacing upwards.
2.Ifthecar cassette adaptorcord ison thewrongside
of thetape, reposition the cord byfollowingthe
instructionsbelow.
3.Insert thecar cassetteadaptorstereoplugintothe
LINE OUTjack on therightside of theCDplayer.
4.Turn on thecassetteplayer.Pressthe PLAYbutton
onthecassetteplayer.
5.PressthePLAYbuttonon theCDplayer.
6.Adjustthe VOLUMEcontrolonyourcassetteplayer.
7.Whendone,leavethecassetteplayeronandfirst
ejecttheadaptor,thenturn offcassetteplayer.
Reposition thecord
The cord shouldextend outfrom the cassette player
when the cassette isinserted (direction dependingon
your tapeplayer).
1.Toreposition the cord,removethetopplate by
removing2screwswith adime(see Fig.1).
2.Reposition thecord sothatit comesoutfromother
positions(see Fig.2).
3.Replacethecover andthe screws.

Plays one song over and over till you press STOP.
Duringplay,selectthesong you want to repeatwith
either of the SKIP/SEARCH buttons( or ), then
press the REPEATbutton once, the symbol REPEATONE
will appear inthe display.
Thesongcurrentlyplaying willrepeat overandover,
untilyou press STOP.
All Tracks Repeat
Repeatsall songsinorder,till you press STOP.
During play,press the REPEATbutton twice, the symbol
REPEATALL will show inthe display.
All songswill keep playing insequence1, 2, 3, etc., and
when finished, will start all over againuntil you press the
STOP.

Youmayhaverepeat,introorrandomplayusing theREPEATbutton.PresstheREPEAT
buttonseveraltimes,and thedisplaywillshow thefollowingsinturn:
Intro Play
Thisplays thefirst10secondsof songsinsequential
order.
1.Duringplay,press theREPEATbuttonthreetimes,
the word INTRO will flashinthe display.
2.Pressthe PLAYbutton, theword INTRO willstop
flashing and the first10 secondsof each song on the
CD will playinsequentialorder.
3.When you find asong you like, press the PLAYbutton
again,the symbol INTRO willdisappearfromthe
display,normalplaywill be resumed, that song (and
the following songs)will play NORMALLY.
RandomPlay
Thisplays the songson the disc inarandomorder.
1.During play,press REPEAT button four timesthe word
RND will flash.
2.Press the PLAYbutton, thiswill playall of the songs
inrandomorder selected bythe CD player.The word
RND will stop flashing.
3.PresstheSKIP/SEARCHbutton toskiptothe
nextrandomsong.
