Reversing polaritieswill damage the batteriesand possiblyyourset. Besureto
followpolarity(+and -)asindicated.
Donotmixdifferenttypestogether(Alkaline,Carbon-Zinc,Nickel-Cadmium etc.),
orold batterieswithnewones.
When notin useforan extended period of time,orwhile internal batterieswill not
be used,removethem topreventpossibleacid leakage orcorrosion resulting in
damage toyourplayer.
When the batterieshavebecome discharged,theymustbe disposed ofin asafe
mannerthatcomplieswithall applicable laws.
Installation ofbatteriesshould onlybe done byan adult(forsafety).
ALKALINEBATTERYLIFE
Bearin mind thatbatterylifeexpectancyisbased upon volume and bass listening
levels.Maximum batterypowerconsumption happensatmaximum settings.Typical
lifefor2size “AA”alkaline batteriesisabout11hoursofcontinuousCD playand 5
hourslongerforradio use.
NOTE2: Youmay userechargeablebatteriesonthisset.However,because
rechargeablebatteriesgenerallyhavelowervoltage (1.2voltsinstead of1.5
volts).Yourplaying timewillbemuchlessthannormalfreshalkalinebatteries.

WHEN “”SHOWSINTHEDISPLAYY
WhileCDisplaying,ifthealkalinebatteriesareweakordischarged,thissymbol “”
showsorflashesinthedisplay,thenthepowerautomaticallyturnsoff.Ifthisoccurs,
replacebothalkalinebatteries(alsoifthe displaydoesnotshowanything,thebatteries
aredead).
NOTE1: The radio mayworknormallyforabout5hourswhen “”showsorflashes
in the displayindicating batteriesaretooweakforCD play,butstill OKforthe
radio.
PoweryourCDplayerbyconnectinganoptionalACADAPTORorbyinserting2
size “AA”freshalkaline batteries.
NOTE:Playerwill notwork,and batterieswill be

Usethevolumecontrolofyourstereosystemtoadjustthe volume becausethe

Plays one song overand overtill you press STOP/OFF.
Duringplay,selectthe songyouwanttorepeatwith
eitherofthe SKIP/SEARCH buttons( or ),then
press the REPEATbutton once,the symbol REPEAT1 will
showin the display.
Thesongcurrentlyplayingwillrepeatoverandover,
until you press the STOP/OFF button.
AllTracksRepeat(DiscRepeat)
Repeatsall songsin order,till youpress STOP/OFF.
During play,press the REPEATbutton twice,the symbol
REPEATALL will showin the display.
All songswill keep playing in sequence1,2,3,etc.and
when finished,will startall overagain until you press the
STOP/OFFbutton.

Youmayhaverepeat,introorrandomplayusingtheREPEATbutton.Pressthe
REPEATbutton several times,and the displaywill showthe followingsin turn:
REPEAT1-->REPEATALL -->INTRO-->RND --> NORMALPLAY
IntroPlay
Thisplaysthefirst10secondsofsongsin sequential
order.
1.Duringplay,presstheREPEATbuttonthreetimes,
the symbol INTRO will flashin the display.
2.Press the PLAY/PAUSE button,the symbol INTRO will
stop flashing and the first10 secondsof each song
on the CD will playin sequential order.
3.When you find asong you like,press the PLAY/PAUSE
button,thesymbol INTRO willdisappearfromthe
display,normalplaywill be resumed,thatsong (and
the following songs)will play NORMALLY.
RandomPlay
Thisplays the songson the disc in arandom order.
1.During play,press REPEAT button fourtimes,the
symbol RND will flash.
2.Press the PLAY/PAUSE button,thiswill playall ofthe
songsin random orderselectedbytheCDplayer.
The symbol RND will stop flashing.
3.Press theSKIP/SEARCH button ,toskip tothe
nextrandomsong.

The tracks (songs)on the disc can be programmed (arranged in advance)toplayin
anyorderyou prefer(upto20 tracks can beprogrammed).

During programming,the symbol PROG flashesinthe display.Toprogramsongsto
playin yourpreferredorder,followstepsbelow:
1.Press thePROGRAMbutton.
The symbol PROG and “ ” will flash
in the display.

(example). PROG and the track number
“03”will flashin the display.

5.Afterprogramming isfinished,press
PLAY/PAUSE tobeginprogrammed
play.The symbol “PROG” changestobe
steadilyon inthedisplay,and music
begins.
NOTE:
-The playerwill stopautomaticallyafter

When the setissubjecttoashock orabump during play,the
datastoredinmemorycontinuestobedecoded and played.
Thisgivesthepickuptime tostabilizeandcontinuereading
newmusic.Asthedataisused frommemory,theindicator
changesfrom “”to “”.Oncethepickup returnstoits
original position,newdataisstored in memoryand the display
changesback tothe “”mark.
If the setissubjecttorepeatedshocks and all the datastored
inmemoryisusedup,the “”markisdisplayedandthe
sound willskip orstop forabriefperiod until the memory
baskethastime tofill up again.
NOTE:
-The musicmaystop ifthe playerreceivescontinuousshocking.
-You mayhearnoiseorskipping ifthe CD isdirtyorscratched.
-IfyoupressSKIP/SEARCHbuttons,the memorybasketwill
emptyitselftemporarily.
Thissetisdesigned withthe latest60 second ESP PLUSTM (ElectronicSkip Protection)
-Whichallowsvirtuallyunlimited gentleskip protection abovethenormalskip
protection.
The 60 second ESP PLUSTM function willturnonautomatically
when the PLAY/PAUSE button ispressed.
When the PLAY/PAUSE button ispressed,the “”(memory
basket)indicatorwill appearin thedisplay,the digital data(music)
isstored in the “read-ahead”memorybufferbeforeitisdecoded
and played.It maytakeawhile forthe baskettofill.
The “”markchangestothe “”mark,indicating thatthe
memorybuffer(basket)isfull.
The 60 second ESP PLUSTM function preventsthe sound from skipping byusing a
buffermemorythatstoresmusicdata.The new60 second ESP PLUSTM system can
storemoremusicthannormalanti-skipsystems.
