disc information and times.

hold to displaythe searchmenu, then press the direction buttonsto select the desired
disc starting time, track, or title for playback.
15.OK BUTTON –Press to confirm aselection.

POWER SUPPLY
You can power this portable DVD player byconnecting the AC adaptor,the car adaptor or the
rechargeable battery(all included).
A. Using the AC adaptor
Thisplayer issupplied with an AC adaptor
for powering the unit and charging the
battery.
Insert the AC adaptor plug to the DC IN jack
on the portable DVD player and connect the
adaptor to awall outlet.
B. Using the car adaptor (12V)
Insertthe caradaptor plugtothe DC IN jackontheportableDVD playerandconnect thecar
adaptor to thevehicle’s12V accessory/ cigarettelighter socket,the caradaptor indicatorwill light
up.
CAUTION:
1.The included car adaptor isfor usewith this unit only.Do not useit with other equipment.
2. Use this unit onlywith the included car adaptor,using with other car adaptorscould damage
the unit and the unit may not work.
3.Do not operate this unit or view video movies while driving avehicle.
4. If some linesappear on the screen during the startup of the vehicle, pleaseturn the unit off
and turn it on again after the vehicle isrunning.
5.Placethe unit in aproper position for viewing.
6.When the inside of the cigarette lighter socketisdirtywith ashesor dust, the plug section
may become hotornotworkdue topoorcontact.Besuretocleanthecigarettelighter
socket beforeuse.
7.Disconnectthecaradaptor fromboththeunitandthe cigarettelightersocket whenthe
batteryisfully charged and the unit isnot in use.
Thisplayer issupplied with a12V car adaptor for powering the unit and recharging the battery
while in avehicle that hasa12V power system.

Workingconditionsandprecautionsfor therechargeablebattery
New batteriesshould be fully chargedbefore initial use(about 5hours).
Batteryshould be changed byan adult for safety.
Batteryshould onlybe used and chargedwhen temperatures are between 32 -100OF.
Never put the batteryin fire or water.
Do not exposethe batteryto high temperaturesor store in hot, sunnyplaces.
Do not short the batteryterminals.
Do not open the battery.
When the batteryisweak, the Low Powericon ” will appear on the LCD screen and
then the power automaticallyturns off. If this occurs,pleaseusethe AC adaptor to
recharge the batteryor playthe set on AC power.
NOTE: When inserting the batterywhile the set is AC powered or car powered, there will be a
delayof several secondsbefore the LED lights up. This isbecausethe batterycharging
circuit needsto reset and detect the batterystatus.
2.The batteryLED indicator will flash when thebatteryischarging and remain steadilyon
when the batteryisfully charged.
3.Chargingtime isabout 5hours.Afully chargedbatterydeliversabout 2.5hoursofviewing time.
4. Tocharge the batteryusing the supplied caradaptor,follow point Bon the previouspage.
C. Using the rechargeable battery
The rechargeablebatterypackis suitableforportableusewhichallows you to enjoy the
unique functions of this unit outdoors.
Remembertochargethebatteryfullybeforeinitialuse (about5hours).

Tocharge the battery
1.Insert the AC adaptor’splug into the DC INjack on the DVD player and connect the AC
adaptorto awall outlet. After5seconds, the batteryLED indicator will turn on and start to
flash.
2.Placethe DVD playeron asoftandsmooth surface
with thebottom oftheunitfacingup.
3.Withone hand onthe DVD player toprevent it from
moving, takethebattery and align the plastic tabs on the
battery with slots on the player,and slide itforward to
lock, The batterywill click intoplace.

2SlidetheDVD player’sPOWER switch totheONposition,the DVDlogo (start-uppicture)will
appearonthescreen.
1Lift the LCD screen.
3Press the OPEN button on theDVD player to open the disc
door.Place adiscgently onthe tray withthelabelside up,make
surethediscisseated onthespindlebypressing downin the
center,then closethe door.The DVD player startsto read the
disc’stableofcontents (thismay take afew seconds).
5Press the VOLUME +or VOLUME –button to adjust the volume level.
6Press the BRIGHTNESS and COLOR buttonstoadjust the brightness and the color of
the LCD screen if needed.
NOTE 1: Load the discwith thelabel sidefacingup,when
playing adouble-sided disc, load it with the desired
playing side face down.
NOTE 2: NO DISC”willshow in thedisplay if the discis upside
downor the discisbadlyscratched or dirty,it will not
play.Pleaseclean it or change the disc before use.
Also you can buy adiscpolishertotrytorepairthe
scratched disc.
8Topausethe playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button. Toresume playback, press the
PLAY/PAUSE button again.
NOTE 1: During play,pressing the STOPbutton oncewill show PRE STOP ”in the
display,if you press the STOPbutton the second time, the displaywill show
STOP ”,and now your system isin the full STOP mode.
NOTE 2: Leaving the set in the stop mode for alonger time will drain the batterythe same
asduring normal play,remember to shut offthe power after use.
9Toskip to anothertrack/chapter,presstheNEXT orPREVIOUS button repeatedly
duringplayback.
4Some discs will startplayingautomatically,andothers willdisplaythedisc contents menu on
thescreen.Ifthemenu isshown,usethe ( , , & )directionbuttonsto highlightyour
selectionand press the OK buttontoconfirm,otherwiseyoumaypress play.
10 Toaccess the disc menu or title menu duringDVD play,press the MENU or TITLE button.
11 Remember to shut offthe player byslidingthe POWER switchto the OFF position when
the movie finishes playing.
NOTE: This player hasascreen saver which will displayabouncing DVD logo if no video is
played for awhile.

NOTE: In anyfast forward or fast backward mode,press the PLAY/PAUSE button to return to
normal playmode immediately.

3.SELECTINGAUDIOMODE
IfaDVDdisc contains aMulti-Audiosoundtrackfeature,youcanselectthedesiredaudio
languageby pressingtheAUDIO buttonrepeatedlyduringplay,playbackstatuswill bedisplayed
onthescreen. The AUDIO buttoncan also select director’scuts dialogueand otherdisc
dialogue.
Note 2:This DVDplayerdoes not support DTSdecoding.For discs withDTSdecoding,
please press the AUDIO button to select another audio output mode, such as
AC-3 or until youhear thesound.
Note 1: Ifyoupress theAUDIO buttonforseveraltimes, butthedesiredlanguageisnot
selected, it means asecond language isnot available on the disc.
NOTE: This operation works onlywith DVD discs on which multiplesubtitle languages are
recorded. Some DVDs haveno subtitles, some may have5or more. If no subtitlesare
recorded on your DVD, pressing this button will not change the subtitles.
Toremovethe subtitlesdisplay,pressthe SUBTITLE button again until :[OFF] ”shows.
4.CHANGINGSUBTITLE LANGUAGE (DVDONLY)
You can select adesired subtitle quicklyand easilywith the SUBTITLE button.

Refer to your home theater system’smanual before connection.
For Video, insert the 3.5mm plugof the video cable into the VIDEO OUT jack on your DVD
player and the yellow plug into your TV’sVIDEO jack.
For Audio, insert the 3.5mm plugof the audio cable into the AUDIO OUT jack on the DVD
player and insert the RED and WHITE plugstoyour home theater system’sAUDIO IN jacks.

2. Connecting to your headphones (headphones are not included)
Turn down the volume of the DVD player and connect the headphones(optional, not included)
to the DVD player’sPHONES jack, when headphonesare connected, the speakersof your

3SlidetheDVD player’sPOWER switch totheONposition,the DVDlogo (start-uppicture)will
appearonthescreen.
4Turn on yourTVand set it to DVDmode (pleaseseebox below),theDVD logowill appear on
yourTV’sscreen.
5Press the OPEN button on the DVD player to open the disc door.Place adiscgently onthe
traywiththe label sideup, makesurethedisc isseatedonthespindlebypressingdown in
thecenter,close thedoor.The DVD playerstarts toreadthedisc’stableofcontents (this
maytake afew seconds).
6Some discs willstartplayingautomatically,andothers willdisplay thedisc contents menu on
thescreen.Ifthemenuis presented,usethe ( , , & )directionbuttonsto highlightyour
selectionandpressOKbutton to confirm.
7Press the VOLUME +or VOLUME –button onthe DVD player and on your TV’sremote
to adjust the volume level.
8Fold down the LCD screen cover,the DVD playerwill continue to work, but the screen will
be dark.
9Tostop playback, press the STOPbutton.
10 Topausethe playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button on the DVD player.Toresume
playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button again.
NOTE 1: During play,press the STOPbutton once, the display will show PRE STOP ”.
Ifyoupressthe STOPbuttonthe secondtime,thedisplaywill show STOP ”,
and now your system isin the full STOP mode.
NOTE 2: Leaving the set in the stop mode for alonger time will drain the batterythe same
asduring normal play,remember to shut offthe power after use.
11 Toskip to anothertrack/chapter,presstheNEXT orPREVIOUS button repeatedly
duringplayback.
12 Toaccess the disc menu or title menu duringDVD play,press the MENU or TITLE button
on the DVD player.

14 Remember to shut off the player byslidingthe POWER switchto the OFF position when
the movie finishes playing.
HowtoFindyourTV’sVideoInput Channel
Make sure you havemade all the connections(see page 15), you may need to change
your TV’svideo input mode to see the DVD player’smenu and movies, alsodouble check
that both TV and player are plugged into the AC outlet.
1.Set your TV to the correct video input. Forexample, if you connect this player to the
VIDEO 1input on your TV,switchyour TV to video 1.
2.Switchyour TV to the correct video input channel. The video input channel varieswith
differentTVbrands andmodels, many TVremotecontrols have aTV/VIDEObutton
whichcan be usedtochangetodifferent videoinputsand back to TV fornormal
broadcast viewing, on some older TVs, youmay need to press channel 3or 4on your
TV’sremote. Onceyouselected the correct channel, your TV will show the opening
DVD screen. For more details,pleasesee your TV’smanual.

black barsat thetopand bottomofthescreen, butyouwillseeevery-
thing to the left &right of thecenter asin amovie theater.
4X3Standard (4:3 PS PAN and SCAN) -Choose this setting if
you want to see movie fill the entire screen of your TV.This might
mean that partsofthepicture(the left andright edges) won’tbe
seen.
Most discs produced in aWIDESCREEN format can’t be cropped in
this fashion.
