IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain for future reference
• When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be
followed.
• Check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate corresponds with that of the
local network before connecting to the mains power supply.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
• Do not operate the appliance with a damaged plug or cord, after a malfunction or
after being dropped or damaged in any way.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualied engineer in order
to avoid injury or a hazard.
• Ensure there is sufcient space and ventilation around the appliance to allow the
escape of heat and/or fumes.
• Do not touch the cutting parts until cooled to room temperature.
• Do not expose to rain or moisture.
• Never place the product or part of it in water, or operate if your hands are wet.
• The appliance must not be left unattended while it is powered on.
• Turn the appliance off and disconnect from the mains supply when it is not in use.

Note: The rst time you use the cutter, it may smoke slightly before use as the heating
element dries out. This is normal and should only last for a few minutes.
Attach the cutter blade whose length is most suitable for the operation required.
• Connect the cutting tool to the mains power socket.
• When the trigger is pulled the cutting blade heats up in seconds.
• Avoid breathing any fumes or smoke given off by the material being worked. It is
advisable to wear a face mask when cutting foam and plastics.
TOOL REPLACEMENT
• Replacing the cutting tip should only be done when the tool is switched off and at
room temperature.
• Remove the 4 screws (2 in each terminal) and insert the blade into the slots in the
terminals lining up the screw holes.
• Ret the 4 screws and tighten them.
• Caution: Damage could occur if the tool is switched on without the blade attached.
Warning: Care should be taken to avoid burns.
