met! Once ready, simply pedal the bicycle as normal. You will feel the pedal assist motor engage and “boost” you
along. If you stop pedaling, or engage the brake lever, the pedal assist feature will stop automatically.
USING THE CHARGER
The charger should be examined regularly for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts. In the event
such damage has occurred, the pedal assist bicycle should not be charged until qualied personnel have repaired
the charger or replaced it. Use only the supplied, recommended charger. Always use caution when charging.
The charger is not a toy and should be operated by an adult.
Never operate the charger near ammable materials or liquids, and operate the charger in well-ventilated areas.
Disconnect the charger and unplug it from the pedal assist bicycle when not in use. Do not exceed the recommended
charging time.
Always disconnect the charger from the pedal assist bicycle prior to wiping down or cleaning the pedal assist bicy-
cle with any liquid.
FAILURE TO HEED THE WARNINGS LISTED ABOVE INCREASES RISK OF POTENTIALLY
SERIOUS INJURY. USE THE APPROPRIATE CAUTION WHEN RIDING AND ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTIVE
GEAR.

10
Charging the Battery
Initial charge time: 10 hours, and never charge the battery longer than 30 hours.
Recharge time: up to 12 hours, and never charge the battery longer than 30 hours. When the pedal assist bicycle is
not in regular use, recharge the battery at least once a month until normal use is resumed.
1. Turn power OFF before charging. Plug the charger into the charger port on the pedal assist bicycle.
2. Plug the charger into a wall power outlet. The light on the charger housing should illuminate. A red LED light indi-
cates the battery is charging and a green LED indicates the battery is fully charged. (If the lights on the charger do
not light up, check the power to the outlets. If necessary, try a different electrical outlet.)
Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Always disconnect your
pedal assist bicycle from the charger before cleaning with liquid.
• Batteries may become damaged and could no longer accept a charge, if switch is left in the ON position when not in
use.
• Fully charge the battery before storage.
Note: Failure to recharge the battery at least once a month may result in a battery that will no longer accept a charge.
Battery: Always make sure the power switch is in the “off” position whenever the pedal assist bicycle is not in use.
Never store the product in outdoor conditions, never store it in the rain, and never store the product in freezing or
below freezing temperatures. These low temperatures will permanently damage the battery.

QUICK ASSEMBLY GUIDE
TOOLSREQUIRED
1. Allen key wrenches: 3 mm, 4 mm, 5mm,
6 mm
2. Open end wrench
8 mm-10 mm
3. Open end wrench
13 mm-15 mm
4. Standard Phillips head and Standard at head
screwdriver
GETTING
STARTED
Open the carton from the top and remove the bike. Remove
the
straps and protective wrapping from the bike.
Inspect the bike and all accessories and parts for possible shortages. It is recommended
that
the threads and all
moving parts in the package be lubricated
prior
to installation. Do not discard packing materials until assembly is
complete to ensure that no required parts are accidentally
discarded.
Assemble your bike following the steps that
pertain to your
model.

14
FRONT WHEEL
ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the plastic protective sleeve from the fork dropouts.
2. Make sure the brakes are fully opened.
3. Place wheel into fork drop
outs.
4. Install retaining washers with raised lip pointed towards the fork,
and
insert into the small hole of the fork
blade.
5. Install axle nut and tighten. Make sure the wheel is centered
between
the fork
blades.
6. Spin the wheel to make sure that it is centered and clears the brake shoes.
7. Turn the bicycle upright using the kickstand to support
it.
It is very important to check the front wheel connection to the
bike,
Failure to properly tight-
en may cause the front wheel to
dislodge
causing serious injury or
death.

15
HANDLEBARS
ASSEMBLY
A loose stem bolt can cause a loss of steering control and result in serious injury or death. The stem must be tight
enough for the
wedge
nut to bite into the inner surface of the steer
tube.
NOTE: The handlebar stem is pre-assembled to the handlebar
at the
factory.
1. Remove the protective cap from the wedge end of the stem.
2. Slip the dust cap onto the stem as the photo
shows.
3. Insert the stem into the head tube so that the minimum insertion line on the stem body is not visible.
4. Face the stem forward directly in line with the front wheel and
tighten the
stem bolt securely.

16
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Test the security of the handlebar stem within
the
steer tube of the front fork by clamping the
front wheel between your knees and trying to move the stem from side to side. The handlebar should not move
independent from the front wheel when
applying
pressure.
You
can
adjust
the
handlebar height
and
angle
with the adjustable stem.
1. Loosen the stem bolt and plate underneath the stem, and adjust the stem to the desired angle and position.
2. Re-tighten the plate with the clamp bolt
.

17
SEAT
ASSEMBLY
The seat post must be inserted so that the Minimum Insertion
Mark
cannot be seen. The quick release mechanism
must be
tightened
securely to prevent a sudden shift of the seat when riding. Failure to
do
this may cause loss of
bike
control.
Add a little white grease to the inside the seat tube and slide the post into the seat tube, making sure the mini-
mum-insertion mark is hidden. Tighten the quick-release lever. Rotating it clockwise with the lever open will tighten
the clamp, and you lock it into place by pushing rmly on it. It should take some effort to close it, but if you have to
force it, loosen the lever one rotation. The seat can be adjusted in height, angle and distance from the handlebars
to suit the individual rider. Saddle angle is a matter of personal preference but the most comfortable position will
usually be found when the top of the seat is almost parallel to the ground, or slightly raised at the front.
Test to make sure the seatpost is rmly installed by grasping the seat and trying to turn it sideways. If
it
moves, you
will need to further tighten the quick release.
NOTE: Remember that the Minimum Insertion Mark must remain inside the frame assembly.

18
PEDALS
ASSEMBLY
Check for the right
(R,
red) sticker and left (L,
green)
sticker on each pedal and crank arm. Match the appropriate
pedal to each crank (right to right and left to left) for assembly. Start each pedal spindle by hand to avoid stripping
the threads. Tighten with a 15 mm narrow
open
ended wrench so that the shoulder of the pedal spindle is securely
tightened against the crank arm. The right side pedal has right-hand (clockwise) threading. The left pedal has left-hand
(counterclockwise) threading.
Attachment of an incorrect pedal into a crank arm will cause irreparable damage. Unless the shoulder of the pedal
spindle is tight to the face
of
the crank arm, the pedal may back out causing serious injury or
death.
Make it tight so
the shoulder is in complete contact with the surface
of
the crank arm and the pedal spindle shoulder bites into the
metal of
the
crank. Before your rst ride, please check to ensure your pedals are attached
correctly.

19
FRONT FENDER
ASSEMBLY
1. Install the pre-assembled fender into the fork legs facing forward with the fender bracket positioned behind the
fork.
2. Loosen the mounting bolt (together with the washer) from the fender bracket, and insert the front reector
and the mounting bolt into the bracket,
and
secure the mounting bolt as show
below.
3. Attach fender arms by aligning the fender arm holes with the
mounting
holes on the fork end. Then insert the
mounting bolts through
the
fender arm holes to secure the bolts into the fork holes.
