Important safety instructions
Location
• Do not use your microphone system in an area with a high magnetic field.
• Make sure that the receiver is at least 10 feet (3 meters) above the floor and 10 feet (3
meters) from surrounding walls.
• Do not place the microphone system in direct sunlight. Do not expose the microphone
system to rain or moisture.
Repairs
Do not try to repair your wireless microphone system yourself. Opening the receiver case or
microphone housing could expose you to high electrical voltage. Refer all service to qualified
service personnel.
Handling
• Do not drop the receiver or microphone.
• Do not set anything on top of the receiver.

Receiver
Component Description
1 Antenna Receives RF signals from the microphone. Fully extend
the antenna for the best reception.
2 RF indicator Lights when receiving RF signals from the microphone.
3 OFF ON Turns the receiver on and off.
4 POWER indicator Lights when the receiver is turned on.
5 AUDIO OUT jack Connect an external amplifier to this jack.
6Battery
compartment Insert two AA into this compartment.

Setting up your microphone system
The following illustration shows two basic ways to connect your receiver to an amplifier.
Note: When you install the receiver, make sure that it is at least 10 feet (3 meters) off the
floor and at least 10 feet (3 meters) away from surrounding walls.
To set up the receiver:
1Place the receiver on a flat, stable surface.
2Fully extend the antenna, and make sure it is perpendicular to the receiver.
3Plug one end of the audio cable into the AUDIO OUT jack on the receiver.
Component Description
1 Screen head Covers the microphone head.
2 Battery indicator Lights when the battery charge is low.
3 ON/STB/OFF switch Turns the microphone on or off, or puts the microphone
in standby mode.
4 Microphone housing Contains the microphone electronics.

compartment Insert a 9 V battery into this compartment.

4Plug the other end of the audio cable into the MIX IN or AUX IN on an external
amplifier.
5Open thebattery compartment, install two AA batteries into the battery
compartment, then close the compartment. Make sure that the + and – symbols on
the batteries align with the + and – symbols inside the battery compartment.
6Slide the power switch to the ON position. The POWER indicator lights.
To install the microphone battery:
1Unscrew the battery cover.
2Insert the 9 V battery into the battery compartment. Make sure that the + and –
symbols on the battery align with the + and – symbols inside the battery
compartment.
3Slide the cover to close the compartment.
Using your microphone system
To use your microphone system:
1Turn on the receiver.
2Turn on the microphone.
3Adjust the volume on the amplifier, if necessary.
Troubleshooting
Caution: Do not open the open the receiver case or microphone housing. There are no user
serviceable parts inside.
Symptom Possible solution
Receiver is turned on, but POWER indicator
does not light. • Make sure that the power cord is plugged in securely.
• Make sure that the electrical outlet is
supplying power.
The AUDIO indicator lights when speaking
into the microphone, but there is no sound. • Make sure that the volumecontrol on the amplifier is not set too low.
• Make sure that the audio cable is
connected securely to the receiver and
amplifier.

Typical frequency response
The signal range is too small. • Make sure that the antenna is fully
extended.
• Make surethat the microphone battery has
a charge.
• Make sure that the receiver or microphone
are not located within a magnetic field.
Sound quality is poor. • Make surethat the microphone battery has
a charge.
• Make sure that no other devices in the area
are operating on the same frequency as
your wireless microphone. Devices using
the same frequency should be at least 328
feet (100 meters) apart.
