ACADIA BAR HEIGHT SWIVEL CHAIR
STEP 1: Lay all pieces (as needed) on a smooth soft surface such as cardboard or carpet to help avoid scratching. Be
careful to not over tighten any of the fasteners.
Tools Needed
Cordless Drill
6” #2 Square Drive Bit
7/16” Nut Setter
Tape Measure

STEP 2: (a) Place the four quarters of the footrest on a smooth soft surface with the screw pockets facing up and the
marked ends together. (b) Fasten the four quarters together using the 2” stainless steel round head screws provided and
set off to the side.

STEP 3: (c) Place the chair legs and brackets on a smooth soft surface. (d) (x2) Fasten the chair legs to the leg brackets
using the 3” stainless steel flat head screws provided. Leave these loose so the foot rest can be slid on later. (e) Place
the two assemblies together. (f) Slide the footrest over the legs with the screws pockets facing down and position it in
the notches in the legs making sure to position the seam of the footrest on the center of the leg. (g) Tighten the 3”
stainless steel flat head screws from (d). (h) Flip the assembly over and fasten the footrest to the legs using the 3”
stainless steel flat head screws provided. (i) Attach the swivel to the leg assembly, making sure that the side that says
Bottom is facing down. (j) Fasten the swivel using the 1 ¼” stainless steel lags provided thru the holes provided. It is
easier to put all four lags in before tightening any of them completely. Place this assembly off to the side.

STEP 4: (k) Place the chair sides, back slats, and cross rails on a smooth soft surface. (l) Put the back slats and cross rails
into the mortise holes in one of the chair sides making sure that the long point is to the bottom of the chair sides. You
may need to use a soft hammer to completely seat these rails. (m) Flip the side over, align the back slats and cross rails
with the mortise holes in the other chair side and gently pound them in using your hand or a soft hammer. (n) Fasten the
chair sides to the back slats and cross rails using the 2” stainless steel flat head screws provided. Flip the assembly over
and repeat on the other side. Set this assembly off to the side.

STEP 5: (o) Place the arms and arm supports on a smooth soft surface. (p) Fasten the arm supports to the arms using the
1 ½” stainless steel round head screws provided. Make sure that the returns on the arm and arm support are pointed in
the same direction and that the screw pocket on the arm support is facing towards the long portion of the arm. (q) Line
the arm support up with the end of the side skirt. (r) Line the top of the arm support return up with the top of the side
skirt. (s) Use the 2” stainless steel flat head screws provided to attach the arm support to the chair assembly thru the pre
drilled holes. (t) Attach the arm to the chair assembly using the 1 ½” stainless steel round head screws provided using
the pre drilled hole.

STEP 6: (u) With the chair assembly upright place the seat on top of the assembly with the pocket holes facing down. (v)
Rotate onto the back side and secure the seat to the chair assembly using the 1 ½” stainless steel round head screws
provided. (w) Rotate chair assembly upside down and fasten the swivel mount supports to the front and back seat skirts
using the 1 ½” stainless steel round head screws provided 3 5/8” from the side skirts.

STEP 7: (x) Place the base assembly upside down onto the upside down chair assembly making sure to have the side
labeled Front Top toward the front of the chair assembly. (y) Center the swivel on the chair assembly and pre drill 4-
3/16” holes in the swivel mount supports making sure to not go too deep. (z) Fasten the swivel to the chair assembly
using the 1 ¼” stainless steel lags provided. It is easier to start all four lags before tightening any of them completely
