e4fun Hovershoes
Please read the assembly instructions and user guide carefully before using the Hovershoe.
The features of the shoes and the correct way to use them are explained in detail here so that
you can familiarize yourself with the e4fun Hovershoes before using them.

Startup:
Press the "Power ON/OFF" button. You will hear a startup sound and see that the LEDs light up.
First place one foot on the first Hovershoe, balance your weight on it so that the shoe is horizontal,
and then slowly step onto the second Hovershoe.
Moving forwards:
Lean forward slowly and feel the forward movement of the Hovershoes. Slowly shift your centre of
gravity back again as you ride and feel the shoes slow down and stop.
Braking:
When you are moving forwards or backwards, bring your body weight and therefore your centre of
gravity back into an upright position. This slows down the Hovershoes and eventually stops them.

Moving backwards:
Lean back slowly and feel the backwards movement of the Hovershoes. Slowly shift your centre of
gravity forward again as you ride and feel the shoes slow down and stop.
Reset in case of electronic fault:
If you hear confused beeps while riding the shoes or even when stationary, reset the electronics as
follows: Hold the Hovershoes in a horizontal position and press down the On/Off switch for 5-7
seconds. The LEDs will start flashing 3 times. Now switch off your shoes and restart them.
Turning:
The Hovershoes rotate in the direction of your movement.
Getting off:
When you want to get off the shoes, shift your centre of gravity to the middle by bringing the shoes
to a horizontal position. You can then get off the shoes backwards in a controlled manner.
The mileage and speed depend on the user's weight, ambient temperature during use, riding style
and road conditions.
3. Safety information:
Please abide by all laws applicable to this type of hovershoe in your country. In many countries it is
not permitted to ride hovershoes on public roads or in public places, but they are usually allowed in
non-public places. It is your responsibility to be aware of and comply with all regulations. If there
are no regulations covering hovershoes in your country, please ensure both your own safety and
the safety of others.
Wear a helmet and knee, elbow and wrist protectors during use.
Check the condition of the Hovershoes before using them. Make sure that no parts are loose or
damaged and that there is no unusual noise or continuous alarm while riding them.
Make sure you are in good health, awake, and have not consumed alcohol, sedatives or other
intoxicants in the past 6 hours.
While driving, be vigilant and avoid collisions, especially when passing through a door frame or
driving near doors, branches, signs or other low obstacles.
Avoid driving in areas that are not suitable for the hovershoes such as uneven roads, gravel roads,
over deep holes/cracks, on steep slopes with an incline of more than 15 degrees and so on.
It is forbidden for two or more people to stand on a pair of hovershoes or hold on to each other.
Holding or carrying infants while using the shoes is expressly forbidden.
Intelligent Safety Alarm/Automatic Protection
If you ride too quickly, the electronics of the Hovershoes will ensure that the speed does not
increase any further. This applies if your body is tilted too far. In this case, please return to a tilt
position that is suitable for the speed you are travelling at.
If the motor of the Hovershoes is overly strained, e.g. by riding up and down steep slopes, over
deep holes or due to the excessive weight of the rider, the motor may overheat. This does not
constitute a valid warranty claim.
If the battery power falls below 30%, the maximum speed is successively restricted during normal
operation.
4. Daily maintenance
The Hovershoes must only be cleaned when they are switched off, the charging cable is
disconnected and the rubber cap is attached to the charging connection. Doing otherwise may result
in an electric shock or a serious malfunction.
The Hovershoes must not be washed with a high pressure cleaner or immersed in water. Do not
use petrol, kerosene, acetone or other corrosive chemical solvents to clean the shoes.
Clean first and then store them.

You can wipe the Hovershoes with a soft, damp cloth.
If you clean the tyres and the bottom of the shoes with running water, you must wipe them dry as
quickly as possible after rinsing and allow them to dry completely in a well-ventilated place in order
to prevent corrosion.
Store the Hovershoes in a dry and cool place between 0°C and 40°C. Sunlight as well as very cold
and very hot environments will damage the shoes.
5. Charging
The charger and the mains inlet on the Hovershoes must always be kept dry.
You must only use the supplied charger to charge the shoes.
If you use the wrong charger or another charger, the shoes may be damaged or pose a safety risk.
All you have to do is plug the the charger into the Hovershoes at the DC input and the other end to
a conventional socket.
The green indicator on the power supply unit must light up.
The red indicator lights up when charging is in progress. If this does not happen, check that
everything is correctly connected.
When the indicator changes from red to green, it means that the battery is fully charged.
The charging process should now be stopped, as overcharging can greatly shorten the service life
of the batteries.
It takes approximately 2 to 3 hours to fully charge the battery. Never charge the battery for more
than 3 hours.
Charge only under supervision and place batteries on a non-flammable base, away from any
flammable materials, fire or warm objects.
The battery must only be recharged at temperatures between 0°C and +45°C.
If this is not observed, the performance of the battery may deteriorate considerably and there is a
risk of damage or injury.
Open flames and direct sunlight must be avoided during charging.
Always allow the Hovershoes to cool down before charging - in other words do not charge them
immediately after use.
The Hovershoes must not be left in a car in full sun.
Do not use the Hovershoes during charging!
After charging, disconnect the charger from the wall outlet and Hovershoes.
Do not insert any foreign objects into the DC input of the Hovershoes.
Do not remove the protective cap from the DC input unless the Hovershoes are being charged.
6. Battery maintenance
The batteries must not be exposed to temperatures above 50°C or below -20°C, so never leave the
Hovershoes in the car, and do not throw the batteries onto a fire! The battery cells can be severely
damaged. To extend battery life, we recommend charging the battery when there is still a small
amount of capacity left.
The battery life may be shortened in very low or very high temperatures, which is a completely
normal occurrence and does not mean the battery is defective.
Even if your Hovershoes are fully charged but not used for a long time, these batteries will also lose
capacity. When switched off, the battery lasts approx. 90 - 120 days; when not fully charged, the
battery life is shorter. Damage to the battery due to improper use is not covered by the warranty.
Do not open the battery pack yourself - ask a specialist to carry out any changes.

7. Disposing of an e4fun product
You should only dispose of your e4fun product at an approved collection point. To protect the
environment, DO NOT dispose of your e4fun product and batteries in the normal household waste
bin. Instead you should dispose of the batteries and your e4fun product separately.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISPOSING OF BATTERIES:
In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, the supplier is
obliged to draw the customer's attention to the following:
as an end user, the customer is legally obliged to return used batteries. The customer can return
old batteries that the supplier either offers or has offered in their range as new batteries free of
charge to the supplier's dispatch warehouse (dispatch address). The symbols shown on the
batteries have the following meanings:
The crossed-out dustbin symbol means that the battery must not be disposed of in the household
waste.
Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 % by weight of lead; Cd =
battery contains more than 0.002 % by weight of cadmium
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 % by weight of mercury.
