Itisrecommendedthattheairflowpatternintheroombecomescircular.Thisis
accomplishedbymountingtheheatertoonesideoftheroom,aspertheillustration,in
ordertocreateacircularflowaroundtheroom.
Wheremultipleunitsareinstalledinlargerrooms,thiscircularpatterncanbe
maintainedbypositioningtheunitstocomplementtheairflows.Thisisaccomplished
bypositioningtheminoppositecornersoftheroom.
Operating Instructions
Theunitsareself‐regulating.Temperatureiscontrolledviaalow‐voltagethermostat
locatedpreferablyontheoppositewallfromtheheatingunit.Theheaterfanswillturn
onwhenthepowertotheinfraredheatingelementsturnon.Aftertheheating
elementshavecomeuptofulltemperature,athirdfanwillturnontoincreasethe
airflowintotheroom.Thisthirdfanwillremainrunningevenaftertheheating
elementshavebeenshutdownbythethermostat,inordertodistributetheremaining
heatintheheatingelementsintotheroom.
Temperaturescanberegulatedfromacentralcontrol(soldseparately)ortheheating
unitscanalsobeindependentlyturnonorofffromaremotelocationviaacentralon/
offswitchforeachunit.Theswitchisconnectedbetweenthelow‐voltagethermostat
controlandoneoftheleadwirestothethermostatfromthethermostatcontactonthe
heater.
Routinelyinspecttheairregistersontheinfraredunittomakesurethatthereisnodust
accumulation.Vacuumasyouwouldanyconventionalheatorairconditioningduct.
Itissuggestedthatanannualdustingoftheceramicplatesbeperformedinorderto
eliminateanyresidualaccumulationofdustduringthesummermonths.Otherthan
this,therearenomaintenancerequirementsinvolved.Inordertoaccomplishthis,the
frontplasticpanelmustberemovedbyremovingthefourscrewsandliftingupto
releasethepanelfromthetopclip.

MountingtheHeater
Theheatercomeswithtwosetsofmountingbrackets.Usingtheappropriate
setofbracketsforthemountingconditions,attachtheheaterunittothewall
preferably6ft.abovethefloortoeliminateobstructionstoairflow.The
heatercanbemountedlowerifpreferred.Thehigherlocationoftheheater
alsoinsuresthatobstaclesintheroomsuchasfurniturewillnotencumberthe
circulationoftheinfraredheatwavesbeinggeneratedfromtheheater.This
assuresevenheatdistributionandpreventscold‐pocketsofair.Theinfrared
heatwillflowevenlyfromfloortoceilingsothelocationoftheheateronthe
wallisnotpre‐emptedbynormalin‐wallheaterconsiderations.
