Este manual tem o caráter de orientação e
foi elaborado para sua maior segurança e
tranquilidade na instalação e operação do
equipamento EBARA.
Eventuais esclarecimentos e outras
informações que não constem neste manual
deverão ser obtidas através de nosso
Departamento de Assistência Técnica.

VISÃO GERAL
Este manual fornece informações sobre o uso e instalação correta do motor de 4” da
série OM4A.
Qualquer uso indevido do motor pode causar danos ao mesmo e para a instalação
invalidando a garantia do produto.
Instruções com prescrições referem-se à instalação padrão; para qualquer instalação
especial entre em contato o Departamento de Assistência Técnica da Ebara.
DESCRIÇÃO DO MOTOR OM4A
• Mancal de rolamentos lubricados.
• Estator em banho de óleo mineral de grau alimentício, não tóxico, garantindo o
melhor isolamento elétrico e refrigeração eficaz.
• Cabo removível.
• Camisa externa do motor em aço inox AISI 201.
• Ponta do eixo estriada (acoplamento padrão NEMA).
• Suporte A em ferro fundido.
• Tampa do suporte A em aço inox.
• Vedação do motor fornecida com selo mecânico e afastador de areia.
• Diafragma para equilíbrio de pressão.
• Isolação classe B.
INSPEÇÃO PRELIMINAR
• Verique visualmente a integridade do motor para encontrar eventuais danos causados
pelo transporte. Verifique a tensão da rede de alimentação de acordo com a aplicação.
• Verique manualmente se o eixo gira livre.
• Se o motor permanecer em estoque por mais de um ano, verique o nível de óleo; caso
seja necessário o preenchimento, entre em contato com o Departamento de Assistência
Técnica da Ebara.
• Verique a resistência de isolação com um megômetro antes da instalação; no caso de
um motor novo, a resistência deve ser maior que 100Mohms (500Vcc).

APLICAÇÃO
O motor OM4A pode ser acoplado com qualquer bomba submersível 4” com acoplamento
em conformidade com os padrões NEMA.
O motor é projetado para ser submerso e é adequado para as seguintes aplicações:
• Abastecimento de água de poços profundos;
• Irrigação doméstica e agrícola;
• Reforço de pressurização.
É estritamente proibido bombear líquidos explosivos, utilizar o motor em
ambientes perigosos ou realizar a instalação em área de banhistas!
LIMITES DE APLICAÇÃO
• Temperatura máxima da água: 40 ° C
• pH da água: 6,5 - 8,5
• Arranques máximos por hora: 04
• Velocidade de refrigeração mínima: 0,08 m / s
• Profundidade máxima de imersão 150 m
• Tolerância de tensão: ± 10%
• É permitido uso vertical ou horizontal
• Caso o motor seja acionado por um conversor de frequência, entre em contato com o
Departamento de Assistência Técnica da Ebara.
• Lembre-se que no caso da utilização do motor em ambientes agressivos, qualquer
anomalia ou mau funcionamento estão sob a responsabilidade do Instalador.
• Caso o motor seja alimentado por um grupo gerador de energia elétrica, é
recomendável:
- Iniciar o grupo gerador antes do motor.
- Parar o motor antes do grupo gerador.
Tabela de vazão mínima para refrigeração (0,08 m/s)
INSTALAÇÃO
• O motor OM4A foi projetado para funcionar apenas submerso.
• Não mover o motor pelo cabo pois poderá danicá-lo.
• Após montar a bomba, verique se o eixo gira livremente.
• Escolha o cabo de instalação de acordo com a tabela na próxima página.
• Fixe o cabo no tubo edutor para evitar danos.
Certifique-se de que o motor não toca o fundo do poço! A areia pode
danificar o diafragma. Portanto, mantenha o motor, pelo menos, 1 m
acima do fundo do poço!

INSTALAÇÃO ELÉTRICA
• Ligação elétrica: verique as cores na placa de identicação do motor.
• Fusíveis e proteções de sobrecarga são recomendados para manter o motor seguro. Para
mais informações, entre em contato com o Departamento de Assistência Técnica da Ebara.
• Versão monofásica 3 os: favor usar o control box fornecido pela Ebara ou escolher
um painel de acordo com a especificação da Ebara para que o motor funcione
corretamente.
O motor deve ser aterrado de acordo com as normas vigentes.
CABO DE INSTALAÇÃO
O cabo tem que ser apropriado para as aplicações submersíveis. A tabela a seguir mostra os
comprimentos máximos (expressos em m) em função da seção transversal (mm²).

PARA MOTORES OM4A
• Este motor utiliza em seu interior óleo mineral de grau alimentício, não tóxico. Em caso
de dúvidas, favor consultar a fábrica.
• Não é permitido, em hipótese alguma, o uso de outro tipo de óleo.
IMPORTANTE:
A não observância deste aviso exime a Ebara de qualquer responsabilidade, por
quaisquer danos que porventura vierem a ocorrer no equipamento, na saúde do
cliente ou ao meio ambiente.
• Não é necessário vericar o nível do óleo para motores novos e/ou motores reparados
em nossa fábrica, porém motores em estoque por mais de um ano é necessário verificar.

LIGAÇÃO PARA MOTORES MONOFÁSICOS 2 FIOS
Para motores monofásicos 2 os (possui capacitor internamente) modelo OM4A, nas
tensões 127V e 220V, emendar e isolar o cabo do motor ao cabo de instalação e conectar
o cabo de instalação ao quadro de comando, procedendo conforme figura 01.

Os valores de capacitores são os mesmos para os modelos Monofásicos 3 fios 220V e 254V.

LIGAÇÃO PARA MOTORES MONOFÁSICOS 3 FIOS
Para motores monofásicos 3 os (não possui capacitor internamente) modelo OM4A,
nas tensões de 220V e 254V, emendar e isolar o cabo do motor ao cabo de instalação e
conectar o cabo de instalação ao quadro de comando, procedendo conforme figura 02.
LIGAÇÃO PARA MOTORES TRIFÁSICOS
Para motores trifásicos modelo OM4A, nas tensões de 220V e 380V, emendar e isolar
o cabo do motor ao cabo de instalação e conectar o cabo de instalação ao quadro de
comando, procedendo conforme figura 03.
A emenda e a isolação do cabo do motor com o cabo de instalação são itens muito
importantes e devem ser executados de forma correta. Utilizar a massa de isolação, fita
de alta tensão e ta isolante (mais detalhes entrar em contato com o Departamento de
Assistência Técnica da Ebara).
ASSISTÊNCIA TÉCNICA
Ao constatar algum defeito, interrompa imediatamente o funcionamento do equipamento
e verifique as possíveis causas de acordo com as instruções na página 07.
Em caso de dúvidas sobre nosso produto ou quando precisar de nossa ASSISTÊNCIA
TÉCNICA, entre em contato conosco ou com nosso distribuidor mais próximo.
Na ocorrência de algum problema, solicitamos que nos informem o estado da
motobomba com o maior número de detalhes para que possamos solucionar o problema

• A fabricante atesta a qualidade de seu produto e prestará devida garantia em sua sede
Entretanto, não se responsabiliza pelas despesas de retirada e instalação, eventuais
perdas e danos e lucros cessantes decorrentes da paralisação do equipamento, assim
como pelo seu mau uso.
• Os equipamentos novos estão garantidos pelo prazo de 90 dias (garantia legal),
acrescidos de 275 dias de garantia contratual, totalizando 365 dias, a contar da data de
emissão da Nota Fiscal.
• Os equipamentos consertados estão garantidos pelo prazo de 90 dias(garantia legal),
acrescidos de 93 dias de garantia contratual, totalizando 183 dias, a contar da data de
emissão da Nota Fiscal.
CONDIÇÕES
• A garantia é concedida em caso de defeito de fabricação do produto ou nos materiais
utilizados na produção.
• É indispensável que o cliente nos informe sobre as condições de instalação e operação
do equipamento para análise de cobertura da garantia.
EXCLUSÃO DA GARANTIA
• Imperícia do operador;
• Uso indevido ou acidentes de qualquer natureza;
• Defeitos ou danos causados pela prolongada paralisação do equipamento;
• Instalação do equipamento fora das especicações de catálogo (faixa de vazão, teor
de areia, Ph, tolerâncias, etc.);
• Danos causados por condições adversas de fornecimento de energia, tais como:
• Sobretensão ou subtensão;
• Oscilações no fornecimento de energia;
• Picos de voltagem insustentáveis (surtos internos e externos);
• Descargas elétricas atmosféricas, entre outros.
TÉRMINO DA GARANTIA
• Pelo término do prazo de vigência;
• Intervenções ou abertura do equipamento e/ou uso de acessórios impróprios não
autorizados;
• Prestação de serviços de assistência por pessoas não qualicadas e não autorizadas.

INSTALLATION MANUAL
OVERVIEW
This manual provides information about the use and correct installation of the 4” motor
of the OM4A series.
Any inappropriate use of the motor could cause damage to it and to the motor’s installation
and would invalidate the guarantee of the product.
These instructions refer to standard installation; for any specialized installation, contact
Ebara’s Technical Assistance Department.
DESCRIPTION OF THE OM4A MOTOR
• Lubricated bearing support.
• Stator bathed in food-grade, non-toxic oil guaranteeing improved electrical insulation
and effective refrigeration.
• Removable cable.
• Stainless steel AISI 201 external motor casing.
• Splined shaft end (Standard NEMA coupling).
• Upper bracket in cast iron.
• Cover of upper bracket in stainless steel.
• Motor sealing provided by mechanical seal and sand retractor.
• Pressure balancing diaphragm.
• Insulation class B.
PRELIMINARY INSPECTION
• Visually check the integrity of the motor to look for any damages caused in transport.
Verify the tension of the power supply system according to the application.
• Manually verify whether the shaft turns freely.
• If the motor remains stored for more than a year, check the level of the oil; if there is a
need for more oil, please contact Ebara’s Technical Assistance Department.
• Verify the insulation resistance with a megohmmeter before installation; in the case of
a new motor, resistance should be greater than 100 Mohms (500Vdc).

APPLICATION
The OM4A motor can be coupled with any 4” submersible pump having the flange and
joint dimensions according to NEMA standards.
The motor is designed to be submerged and is suitable for the following applications:
• Supply of water from deep wells;
• Domestic and agricultural irrigation;
• Booster pressurizing.
It is strictly prohibited to pump explosive liquids, use the motor in
dangerous environments or install it where people are bathing!
LIMITS OF APPLICATION
• Maximum water temperature: 40 ° C
• Water pH: 6,5 - 8,5
• Maximum starts per hour: 04
• Minimum cooling ow rate: 0.08 m / s
• Maximum immersion depth: 150 m
• Voltage tolerance: ± 10%
• Vertical or horizontal use is allowed
• If the motor is combined with a frequency converter, please contact the Technical
Assistance Department of Ebara.
• Remember that when using the motor in aggressive environments, any anomaly or
malfunction are under the responsibility of the person who installed it.
• If the motor is powered by an electric generating set, it is recommended that:
- Start the generating set before the motor.
- Stop the motor before the generating set.

INSTALLATION
• The OM4A motor was designed to work only submerged.
• Don´t move the motor by its cable since this could damage it.
• After mounting the pump, check that the shaft turns freely.
• Choose the installation cable according to the table on the next page.
• Afx the cable on the eductor tube to avoid damage.
Make sure that the motor doesn´t touch the bottom of the well! The
sand could damage the diaphragm. Therefore, keep the motor at
least one meter above the bottom of the well.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
• Electrical connection: check the colors on the motor´s identication plate.
• Fuses and overload protection are recommended to keep the motor safe. For more
information, contact the Technical Assistance Department of Ebara.
• Single-phase 3 wires version: please use the control box provided by Ebara or choose a
panel according to Ebara´s specication so the motor will work correctly.
The motor should be grounded according
to the operating norms in current use.
INSTALLATION CABLE
The cable should be suitable for submersible use. The table which follows shows the
maximum lengths (expressed in meters) according to the transversal section (mm²).

ATTENTION!
FOR OM4A MOTORS
• The interior of this motor uses food-grade, non-toxic mineral oil. Should doubts arise,
please, consult the factory.
• In no case is any other type of oil permitted.
IMPORTANT:
By not observing this warning, Ebara is exempt from any responsibility for
any damage that may occur with the equipment, the health of the client or the
environment.
• It is not necessary to verify the oil level for new motors and/or those repaired in our
factory, however with motors stored for more than a year, verification is necessary.
SINGLE-PHASE 2-WIRE MOTOR CONNECTION
For single-phase 2-wire motors (that have internal capacitor) OM4A model, at the 127V
and 220V voltages, amend and insulate the motor cable to the installation cable and
connect the installation cable to the control panel, proceeding as shown in figure 01.

SINGLE-PHASE 3-WIRES MOTOR CONNECTION
For single-phase 3-wires motors (that don’t have internal capacitor) OM4A model, at
220V and 254V voltage, amend and insulate the motor cable to the installation cable and
connect to the control panel, proceeding as shown in figure 02.
THREE-PHASE MOTOR CONNECTION
For three-phase motor, at 220V to 380V voltage, amend and insulate the motor cable to
the installation cable and connect them to the control cabinet, proceeding as shown in
figure 03.
The splice and insulation of the motor cable with the installation cable are very important
items and should be executed in the correct manner. Use electrical insulation putty, self
fusion tape (high voltage) and insulating tape (for more details, contact the Technical
Assistance Department of Ebara).
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
When noticing any defect, immediately stop the functioning of the equipment and verify
the possible causes according to the instructions on page 07.
If there are any doubts about our product or when you need our TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE,

WARRANTY
IMPORTANT
• The manufacturer attests to the quality of its product and will service any guarantee
at its headquarters. However, it is not responsible for and removal and installment
expenses, eventual losses and damages and lost profits that result from the stoppage of
the equipment as well as its misuse.
• New equipment is guaranteed for a period of 90 days (legal guarantee), plus 275 days
of contractual guarantee, totaling 365 days, counting from the date of issue of the invoice.
• The repaired equipment is guaranteed for a period of 90 days (legal guarantee), plus
93 days of contractual guarantee, totaling 183 days, counting from the date of issue of
the invoice.
CONDITIONS
• Guarantee is given in case of manufacturing defect of the product and its materials.
• It is essential that the client inform us about the conditions of installation and operation
of the equipment for analysis of the guarantee coverage.
EXCLUSION OF WARRANTY
• Malpractice of the operator;
• Inappropriate use and accidents of any nature;
• Defects or damages caused by prolonged stoppage of the equipment;
• Installation of the equipment ignoring the specications of the catalogue (ow rates,
sand content, Ph., toleration, etc.);
• Damage caused due to adverse conditions of energy provision such as:
• Overload or undervoltage;
• Oscillations in the provision of energy;
• Unsustainable peaks of energy (internal and external surges);
• Atmospheric Electrical discharges among others.
TERMINATION OF WARRANTY
• The expiration of the time stipulated in the guarantee;
• Interventions or opening of the equipment and/or use of improper and non-authorized
accessories;
• Service provided by unqualied and non-authorized people.
