INTRODUCTION
This service manual contains information
for service and maintenance of ECHO RE-
CHARGEABLE POWER BLOWER, model
DPB-600.
For systematic diagnosis, to avoid extra work
and time loss, please refer to “Troubleshooting
chart” that describes problems, testing, reme-
dies and references. We recommend you make
use of Operator’s Manual and Parts Catalogue
together with this manual when servicing.

1. Remove torx bolts (B) and disassemble the
handle lid (A).

2. Remove the throttle trigger (C).
3. If control board (D) and switch (E) are damaged,
remove and replace the lead terminal (F) and (G)
with new one.
4. Remove terminal(F) and (G) from switch(E) and
assembly control board (D).
5. If throttle lever (N) is damaged, remove torx bolt
(H), spring washer (J), washer (K), (L) locknut (M)
and throttle lever (N). Replace damaged parts with
new one.

2-3 Resassembling trigger switch grip
1. Install throttle lever (N) on handle lid (A) and
fasten with the torx bolt (H). Check throttle lever (N)
works smoothly and set to the position as shown
(Fig. P : STOP position).
2. The terminal has no locking Tabs on connectors.
Gently push until connector is fully seated on con-
trol board assy (D) and switch (E).
3. Install switch (E), wire harness (t) and control
board (D) on fan case as shown.

4. When installing lead (v) and wire harness (t),
make sure they are installed into the groove part.
5. When installing control board assy (D), attach
control board so that its claw part comes to the left
side as the left figure.
6. Fix throttle trigger (C) on handle. When fixing
it, hook the claw part of the throttle trigger (c) with
handle as shown.
7. Install throttle trigger (C) so as not to be
contacted with wire harness (t). Fit harness (t) into
the groove firmly.
8. Insert the rear end of handle lid (A) into the
motor cover, and fasten torx bolt (V).
9. Align the claw of handle grip with the groove of
handle lid (A), and fasten by torx bolt (B).

3-2 Disassembling motor case
Replace the circuit board in the motor case as the
following procedure.
1. Remove torx bolts (A) and motor case (B).
2. Remove terminals (C), (D), (E), (F) from control
board assy (a).
3. After pull out control board assy (a), remove the
all connected terminals, and remove control board
assy (a) and lead terminal (G), (H).
4. Check the followings, and replace with the new
one in case it has a defect.
1) Breakage of control board assy (a) and
connected other terminals.
2) Breakage or burning of control board assy (a).
3) Disconnection of lead wire breakage of the ter-
minals (G), (H).
