HOW TO GET THE BEST RESULTS
FROM YOUR “ECHO VAC-SAC”
Your Echo Vac-Sac Model VS 2100 will give you efficient and satisfactory ser-
vice, and long life if you follow these simple instructions:-
1. FILL THE ENGINE WITH CORRECT FUEL MIXTURE. Regular unleaded fuel
mixed with Echo Power Blend™ 2-stroke oil OR a Two stroke, air-cooled engine
oil meeting ISO-LEGD Standard (ISO/CD 13738), JASO FC or FD grade at a
ratio of 50:1*. Do not use fuel containing methyl alcohol (methanol) or more
than 10% of ethyl alcohol (ethanol).
2. Before using your Echo Vac-Sac ensure that the engine air cleaner element
has been cleaned and is correctly located. In dusty conditions it may be neces-
sary to clean this element frequently. Clean the element by rinsing in soapy
water and allow to dry.
3. Attach bags correctly using this method and sequence:-
* Attach round clip at top rear of outer bag to bag clip on handle.
* Open zip on outer bag. Place inner bag over your hand and push through the
small opening on the outer bag until the inner bag has filled the outer bag.
Make sure to retain at least 1 cm of the inner bag around the end of he outer
bag front opening. Place the inner and outer bag onto the outlet section of vo-
lute using the Velcro straps. Close the zip on the outer bag. YOUR ECHO VAC-
SAC IS NOW READY TO PERFORM YOUR OUTDOOR VACUUMING JOB.
4. You can raise or lower the unit to give you the best operating height for your
conditions. By setting the lift/lower lever as required. The normal operating
position is in the lower setting– housing may contact ground so take care on
delicate surfaces.
5. In dusty conditions the inner bag is provided as a re-usable or disposable
bag. If in dusty conditions you notice dust building up on the inside of the outer
bag, or a drop in vacuuming efficiency, simply hit each side of the outer bag
several times to clear the fabric of dust thus improving air flow and perform-
ance. If dust continues to be a problem use lower throttle setting.
6. To start the engine when cold, pull out the choke button on the engine, set
the stop-start switch which is conveniently placed on the handle grip, to the
start position, and pull the starting cord. When the engine fires press in the
choke button. Your Vac-Sac is now ready to operate, you control the engine
speed, and there fore vacuuming performance you require by the finger tip en-
gine speed lever, placed also at the handle grip for convenience. Operation at
full revolutions will naturally give you best performance however the level of
dust output will be increased.
