Quick Start Guide
Mount the Wireless Controller
1. Attach the brackets to the switch.
2. Use the screws and cage nuts supplied with the rack to secure
the switch in the rack.
Ground the Wireless Controller
1. Ensure the rack on which the wireless controller is to be mounted
is properly grounded and in compliance with ETSI ETS 300 253.
Verify that there is a good electrical connection to the grounding
point on the rack. (no paint or isolating surface treatment)
2. Attach a lug (not provided) to a #18 AWG minimum grounding
wire (not provided), and connect it to the grounding point on the
switch rear panel. Then connect the other end of the wire to rack
ground.
Connect Power
1. Plug the power cord into a 100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz AC power
source.
2. Insert the other end of the power cord directly into the AC input
socket on the back of the wireless controller.
Check the System LEDs
1. Verify basic wireless controller operation by checking the system
LEDs. When operating normally, the Power LED should be on
green and the Status LED should be either on blue or blinking
when the device is booting up.
Note: For safety and regulatory information, refer to the
Safety and Regulatory Information document included with the
wireless controller.
Caution: Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an
incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the
manufacturer’s instructions.

Caution: The earth connection must not be removed unless
all supply connections have been disconnected.
Caution: The device must be installed in a restricted-access
location. It should have a separate protective earthing terminal
on the chassis that must be permanently connected to earth to
adequately ground the chassis and protect the operator from
electrical hazards.
Caution: Use the AC power cord supplied with the wireless
controller. For International use, you may need to change the
AC line cord. You must use line cord sets that have been
approved for the socket type in your country.

Make Initial Configuration Changes
1. Connect a PC to the wireless controller’s console port using the
included console cable.
2. Configure the PC’s serial port: 9600 bps, 8 characters, no
parity, one stop bit, 8 data bits, and no flow control.
3. Log in to the command-line interface (CLI) using terminal
emulator software. No username or password is required.
Connect Network Cables
1. For the 1000BASE-T RJ-45 ports, connect 100-ohm Category 5,
5e or better twisted-pair cable.
2. For the SFP slots, first install SFP transceivers and then connect
fiber optic cabling to the transceiver ports. The following
transceivers are supported:
◆1000BASE-SX (ET4201-SX)
◆1000BASE-LX (ET4201-LX)
◆1000BASE-ZX (ET4201-ZX)
◆1000BASE-LHX (ET4201-LHX)
3. As connections are made, check the port status LEDs to be sure
the links are valid.
■On/Blinking Green — Port has a valid link. Blinking
indicates network activity.

安装无线网络控制器
1. 将支架安装到交换机上。

将无线网络控制器接地

更改初始配置
1. 使用附带的控制台线将 PC 连接到无线网络控制器的控制台端
口。
2. 配置 PC 的串行端口：9600 bps、8 字符、无奇偶校验、1 停止
位、 8 数据位和无流量控制。
3. 使用终端模块器软件登录命令行界面 (CLI)。不需要用户名和
密码。
连接网线
1. 对于 1000BASE-T RJ-45 端口，请连接 100-ohm 类别 5 、 5e 或更
好双绞线。
2. 对于 SFP 插槽，请先安装 SFP 收发器，然后将光缆连接到收

安裝無線網路控制器
1. 將托架裝至交換器上。

將無線網路控制器接地
