INTRODUCTION
The Intellislot™Interface for Relay Contacts card provides contact
closures for remote monitoring of alarm conditions in your Sola/Hevi-
Duty UPS. Delivering On Battery, On Bypass, Low Battery, Summary
Alarm, UPS Fault and On UPS signals, the easy-to-install card integrates
with AS/400 computers (additional cable required) and other relay
contact monitoring systems.
This advanced power-management device is specially designed to
function only in the Intellislotport of the following supported UPS units:
• Sola 3000 UPS
• Sola 4000 UPS
• S4K Industrial UPS
• S5K Modular UPS
In addition, the RS-232 port on the UPS remains active with the card
installed, allowing more sophisticated monitoring with MultiLink software.
The inverter shut-off command can be controlled from the computer
directly connected to the UPS (via the factory-installed DB-9 connector)
and will conserve battery power after the workstation shutdown is
completed.
The Intellislot™Interface for Relay Contacts card is rated for 24 VAC/DC
at 1A.

assembly.
Tools required:
Either #2 (medium) Phillips or small flat head screw driver.
1. It is suggested, but not necessary, to

panel of your UPS. (Location and
orientation can vary according to
specific UPS model).

the Intellislot™Port cover plate on the
