EKB3 is a keyboard intended to use with GSM alarm and management system ESIM264.
Main EKB3 keyboard functions are:

4. Operation description
WhenthesystemisdisarmedandoperatingnormallyitwilldisplaygreenLEDcalledREADY.Whenanyzoneisviolated,thegreen
LEDcalledREADYturnsoandtheredLEDwiththenumberofviolatedzoneshowsup.Systemsoundsignalerusestwotypeof
signals-threeshortbeepsandonelongbeep.Threeshortbeepsstandsforsuccessfulcompletetasksandonelongbeepstandsfor
unsuccessfulcompletetasks.Star(*)buttonstandsforcancel.EKB3keyboardbuttonshasaLEDbacklightanditispossibletousethis
keyboardinthepremiseswithoutlightening.Thebuttonslightlastfortwominutesafterthelastaction.Incaseofanalarmthekey-
boardbuttonslightturnsonandlasttillthesystemisdisarmed.Allcongurationcommandsarewritteninbrackets,e.g.command
[CODE1]meansthatusershavetopushbuttonsCODEand1.
4.1 EKB3 zone and tamper
KeyboardEKB3hasoneactivezoneZ1withonetamper.ZoneZ1connectstokeyboardCOMwith5,6kΩresistor.ZoneZ2isnotactive.
ZoneZ1workslikeanyothersystemzonesanditispossibletoconnectanysensorstoit.Thetamperisusedtomonitorkeyboardcase
andifthecaseisopenedthesystemwillcauseanalarm.
4.2 Arming-Disarming the system
Toarmthesecuritysystemuserhavetoenteravalidkeyboardpassword.Thesystemstartstocountthetimededicatedtoleavethe
premises.Theuserisinformedaboutthetimecountdownbyasoundsignal.Whensystemissuccessfularmed,theredLEDcalled
ARMEDdisplays.
Todisarmthesecuritysystemuserhavetoenteravalidkeyboardpassword.Whenusersentersintosecuredpremises,thesystem
startstocountthetimededicatedtoenterkeyboardpassword.Ifuserswillnotenteravalidkeyboardpassword–thesystemwill
causeanalarm.Whensystemissuccessfuldisarmed,theredLEDcalledARMEDturnso.
NOTE: Itispossibletoarm-disarmthesystemonlywithapasswordwhichisassignedtothesamepartitionasthekeyboard.
Possible reasons why system fails to arm:
• Thereareviolatedzonesinthesystem.ItispossibletoarmthesystemonlywhengreenLEDindicatorREADYison.Seechapter

whichzoneortamperabove12isviolated,useaformulaB+A,e.g.ifsystemdisplays
zones5and10,meansthatviolatedzoneis30+5=35.

4.4 Bypassing zones
Tobypassanyzoneusethecommand[BYPSxxyyyy#],whereBYPS-meansabuttonnamedBYPS,xx–zonenumberandyyyy–key-
boardpassword.Usethesamecommandtoenablebypassedzones.Thezonecanbebypassedonlyfortemporaryperiodandafter
arming-disarmingthesystemitwillbeactiveagain.
4.5 Keyboard partitions
AnykeyboardEKB3canbesettoworkwithoneoftwopartitions.Inordertoseeinwitchpartitionaspecickeyboardisworking,
checkthecolumninwhichgreenLEDnamedREADYisdisplayed-AorB.IfdisplayingincolumnA,meansthatworkinginpartition
0andifcolumnB-partition1.
4.6 Conguration commands
Tousecongurationcommandsuserhavetoenteradministratorpassword.Administratorpasswordcanbeenteredtothesystem
withcommand[*XXXX#],whereXXXX–administratorpassword.WhenadministratorpasswordisenteredsuccessfullytheredLED
calledARMEDstartsblinkingandifthereareanyotherEKB3keyboardsconnectedtothesystem,itbecomesinactiveanddoesn’t
reacttoanycommands.Thekeyboardiswaitingforacommandandwhenuserentersthiscommand,theyellowLEDcalledSYSTEM
startsblinking.Thismeansthattheuserhasenteredthecorrectcommandandsystemiswaitingfordatae.g.command10.The
systemmakeslongbeepifuserenterswrongcommand,e.g.90.Toexitthecongurationcommandsmenu,userhavetoenteradmi-
nistratorpasswordagainwiththesamecommand[*XXXX#],whereXXXX–administratorpassword.
4.6.1 Users commands
UsersareauthorizedphonenumbersforwhichthesystemESIM264willallowperforming
congurations.Itisnecessarytoenteronlyphonenumberoftherstuseranditispossible
toenterupto5numbers.Usermusttypemobilenumberintheinternationalformat(itcon-
sistofonlythosedigitsthatoverseascallersmusttype:44[areacode][localnumber])without
symbol‘+’.Usersphonenumberscancontainfrom7to15numbers.

sagewillbesenttothenextuseronlyinthecasethedevicedoesnotreceiveaconrmation

Thesystemsends SMS messagetoallusersaboutarmed/disarmedsecuritysystemevent
aftermakingafreeofchargecall.Bydefaultthisfunctionisdisabled.
