When connecting and disconnecting this product, always
observe the manufacturer’s precautions regarding the
main unit of the connected devices and peripheral devices.

Limitation of Liability
There are cases when it is impossible to read and write media
such as special formats or old-type media.
When using media with a digital camera or a mobile phone,
format the media in these devices.
There are cases when it is impossible to use media which is
formatted by the PC. In this case, it can be used again by
formatting it in the devices being used.
ELECOM CO., Ltd is not responsible for erased or corrupted
data.
Use this product and media with attention to the connecting
directions.
I/O type cards, such as a modem are not supported.
Standby and pause mode are not supported.
Usage Precautions
Regarding this product's operating environment, not every
device is operation guaranteed.
If connecting a display using a conversion connector or an
extension cable, signals may attenuate and the product may
not work normally.
This product is designed on the premise of being used in
homes and offices.
Because of the difference of the specifications of USB
Type-C provided devices, there are cases when some
functions can not be used.
This product does not work on a system screen and a BIOS
screen before starting the OS.
Connect this product to the USB Type-C port of the PC
directly.
Precautions when using the USB devices
If the connected USB devices do not work normally, there are
cases when it can be improved by reducing the number of
connected devices.
Check the manuals of each device or inquire to the manufac-
turers about electricity consumption of the USB devices.
Do not disconnect this product from the PC while the USB
devices are connected.
The USB devices which are recommended to be connected
for connection to the PC directly are not operation
guaranteed. Consult the manual for each USB device.
Functions which rely on specific hardware or applications are
not operation guaranteed.
Do not disconnect the USB devices from this product while
reading and writing data. Also, when there is a power switch on
the USB device, do not turn it off while reading and writing data.
It may cause a breakdown of this product or corruption/loss of
files. The USB devices which do not work normally even if they
are connected to the PC directly, are not operation guaranteed.
This product's movements can be unstable due to power
shortages, depending on the connected USB devices. In
such cases, this can be improved by disconnecting the
devices with high electricity consumption and reconnecting
this product to the PC.
In no event will ELECOM Co., Ltd be liable for any lost profits
or special, consequential, indirect, punitive damages arising
out of the use of this product.
ELECOM Co., Ltd will have no liability for any loss of data,
damages, or any other problems that may occur to any
devices connected to this product.
When foreign materials such as water or a piece of
metal enter this product, immediately stop using it
and turn off the connected devices. Also, unplug the
power adapter and disconnect all cables after confirm-
ing there is no risk of a burn injury or an electric shock.
Using it as it is, may cause fire or electric shock.
This product is not waterproof. Use or store the product
where it will not get splashed with liquid such as water.
Rain, water spray, juice, coffee, steam, sweat and other
liquids may cause a breakdown.
Read each manual carefully and follow the procedure
provided by each manufacturer when operating
connected devices.
If this product is placed on an unstable stand or a place
which is inclined, it may be in danger of falling. Place
the product on a stable surface.
If this product shows any abnormalities such as
producing heat, smoking or emitting an unusual smell,
immediately stop using it and turn off the connected
devices. Also, unplug the power adapter and
disconnect all cables after confirming there is no risk
of a burn injury or an electric shock. After that,
contact the dealer from whom the product has been
purchased or ELECOM General Information Center.
Using it as it is, may cause fire or electric shock.
Do not disassemble, modify or repair this product. It
may cause fire, an electric shock or a breakdown. It will
not be covered by warranty in case of a breakdown.
Do not spray detergent or gas. It may make combustible
gas catch fire and cause smoke or fire.
