INTRODUÇÃO
Agradecemos a sua escolha, este aparelho Electric Co irá certamente facilitar o seu dia-a-
dia. Leia atentamente este manual de instruções antes de colocar o aparelho em
funcionamento, para que possa tirar o máximo partido do mesmo, e guarde-o para
referência futura.

Para reduzir o risco de acidentes pessoais ou danos quando
utilizar aparelhos eléctricos, deve seguir sempre as precauções
desegurança básicas,incluindo asseguintes:
-Antes de utilizar o aparelho verifique, na etiqueta de
especificações técnicas, se a corrente eléctrica corresponde à
rede eléctrica da sua habitação. A etiqueta está colocada no
aparelho. Em caso de dúvida, recorra à ajuda de um electricista
qualificado.
-Não é aconselhável a utilização do aparelho por crianças.
Mantenha ao aparelho e o cabo de alimentação fora do
alcancede crianças.

supervisionadas por forma a garantir que não brincam com o
aparelho. Este aparelho não é um brinquedo, como tal, deve

fitas, etc., deve ser mantido fora do alcance das crianças, pois
pode ser perigoso e causar asfixia. Deve utilizar apenas os
acessórios recomendados pelo fabricante e contidos nesta
embalagem,sob o risco de acidente ou danos no aparelho.
-Este aparelho foi concebido apenas para uso doméstico.
Qualquer outro uso será considerado impróprio e
consequentemente perigoso. O fabricante não pode ser
responsabilizado por nenhuns ferimentos ou danos resultantes
douso impróprio do aparelho.
-Não toque no aparelho, nem na sua ficha, com as mãos
molhadas ou os pés húmidos ou descalços, a fim de evitar
choques eléctricos.
-Nunca deixe o aparelho sem supervisão durante o
funcionamento.
-Nunca desmonte ou tente efectuar qualquer tipo de reparação
no aparelho. Caso não cumpra com esta norma de segurança

termos da garantia. Somente pessoal técnico, devidamente
qualificado, pode efectuar qualquer tipo de reparação neste
aparelho.

certifique-se que nenhum tipo de líquido entra em contacto com

Não exponha o aparelho à humidade ou a ambientes
empoeirados, não o utilize no exterior e mantenha-o afastado
de fontes directas ou indirectas de água, como por exemplo,
lavatórios, jarras, vasos, etc. No caso de derrame de qualquer
líquido sobre as partes eléctricas, desligue o aparelho
imediatamente da fonte de alimentação e dirija-se à loja onde o
adquiriu ou a umtécnico qualificado para reparação.
-Se o aparelho cair dentro de água, não o retire sem antes o
desligarda fonte de alimentação.
-O aparelho não deve ser utilizado se estiver avariado, se não
estiver a funcionar correctamente ou se detectar alguma
anomalia no cabo de alimentação ou na ficha. Sempre que
detectar alguma avaria e/ou anomalia, retire imediatamente a
ficha da fonte de alimentação e dirija-se à loja onde o adquiriu,
ou a um técnico qualificado, a fim de efectuar a reparação ou
substituição do aparelho e/ou do cabo de alimentação a fim de
evitar riscos. Assegure-se que somente são usadas peças
novase recomendadas.
-Não coloque nenhum objecto por cima do cabo de
alimentação, nunca o dobre ou torça e certifique-se que o
mantém afastado de arestas cortantes, superfícies quentes e
de locais de normal circulação de pessoas de forma a evitar
quedas.Não deixe que o cabo de alimentaçãofique pendurado
deforma queuma criançao possaagarrar.
-Segure sempre na ficha para desligar o aparelho da fonte de
alimentação,nuncao faça puxando pelo cabo dealimentação.

-Não desloque o aparelho puxando-o pelo cabo de
alimentação.
-Mantenha este aparelho afastado de fontes directas ou
indirectas de calor, tais como, fogões a gás ou eléctricos, fornos
ououtros aparelhosque produzam calor.
-Utilize este aparelho somente em superfícies não
escorregadias, planas, estáveis, secas e protegidas de
impactos,a fim de evitarquedas e possíveisdanos.
-Depois de utilizar e antes de proceder a qualquer operação
de montagem, desmontagem, limpeza ou arrumação,
certifique-se que o aparelho está desligado da fonte de
alimentação.
-Certifique-se que o aparelho está devidamente montado
antesde outilizar.
-Não retire o recipiente para polpa enquanto o aparelho estiver
em funcionamento.
-Nãoutilize o aparelho se o filtro rotativo estiverdanificado.
-Não toque nas peças em movimento e certifique-se que
mantém dedos, cabelo, roupas, bijutaria e outros utensílios
afastados das aberturas e das partes móveis do aparelho, sob
osrisco de acidentes e/oudanos no aparelho.
-Utilize somente o acessório fornecido para pressionar os
alimentos no tubo de alimentação. Nunca utilize os dedos ou
qualqueroutro acessório, sob o riscode acidente.
-Caso o aparelho fique bloqueado durante o funcionamento,
utilize o acessório fornecido para pressionar os alimentos ou
coloque outro alimento para o desbloquear. Se este método
não funcionar, desligue o aparelho da fonte de alimentação e

desmonte-o para proceder ao seu desbloqueio de forma
segura.
-Não toque nas lâminas existentes no filtro rotativo e tenha
especial cuidado no seu manuseamento e limpeza, uma vez
quesão extremamente afiadas.
-Certifique-se que a tampa está devidamente encaixada e que
os fechos de segurança estão devidamente fechados antes de
colocaro aparelhoem funcionamento.
-Os fechos de segurança só devem ser abertos depois de
desligar o aparelho da fonte de alimentação e quando o filtro
rotativo parar de rodar.
-Não utilize o aparelho por mais de 40 segundos consecutivos
quando processar alimentos duros, tais como cenoura, maçã,
beterraba, etc., e não o utilize por mais de 2 minutos
consecutivos para processar alimentos moles, tais como
morangos, melão, melancia, tomate, etc., para evitar o
sobreaquecimentodo motor.
-Após a utilização, desligue o aparelho e permita que arrefeça
antesde voltara colocá-lo em funcionamento.
-Não coloque o filtro rotativo directamente no eixo do motor,
semque ocolector de sumo esteja previamente encaixado.
-Este aparelho não se destina a funcionar através de
programadores, temporizadores externos, sistemas de controlo
remoto separado ou qualquer outro dispositivo que ligue o
aparelhoautomaticamente.
-Evite utilizar adaptadores e cabos de extensão. Se
necessário, utilize apenas os recomendados para este tipo de
aparelho.

-Este aparelho pertence à Classe II (aparelho com isolamento
eléctrico duplo), pelo que não é necessário ligá-lo a uma
tomadacom ligaçãode terra.

UTILIZAÇÃO DO APARELHO
Prepare deliciosos sumos naturais num instante com a Máquina de Sumos Electric Co
MSB500.
Antes da primeira utilização
-Certifique-se que todo o material de acondicionamento foi devidamente retirado antes
de proceder à utilização do aparelho.
-Lave à mão as partes destacáveis que compõem o aparelho (A, C, D, E, F, M, N e O)
com água morna e um detergente neutro, excepto o corpo do aparelho (I), e seque-as
cuidadosamente antes de as voltar a encaixar no aparelho.
Nota: tenha cuidado ao manusear o filtro (D) pois contém lâminas afiadas.
-Proceda à montagem do aparelho, encaixando devidamente todas as peças – ver
secção “Montagem”.
Montagem
-Posicione o aparelho sobre uma superfície plana com o botão de funcionamento (K)
virado para si.
Nota: certifique-se que o aparelho está desligado da fonte de alimentação antes de
proceder à sua montagem.
-Coloque o colector de sumo (E) no corpo do aparelho (I) e encaixe o filtro (D) no eixo do
motor (H), pressionando-o ligeiramente até fixar (Fig. 1).

-Encaixe o recipiente para polpa (F) no lado esquerdo do aparelho e o recipiente para
sumo (N) do lado direito, certificando-se que a abertura da tampa (M) fica por baixo da
saída de sumo (G) (Fig. 2).
-Coloque a tampa (C) sobre o aparelho e fixe-a rodando os fechos de segurança (J),
existentes em ambos os lados do corpo do aparelho (I), para a posição “ ” (fechado)
(Fig. 3).
-Certifique-se que o aparelho está devidamente montado antes de ser utilizado e que os
fechos de segurança (J) estão devidamente fechados, caso contrário não funcionará.
Funcionamento
-Coloque o aparelho sobre uma superfície estável, plana, protegido de impactos e
afastado das extremidades, e certifique-se que os pés (L) aderem à superfície.
-Prepare previamente os alimentos para que entrem no tubo de alimentação (B)
cortando-os (se necessário) e retirando quaisquer caroços, cascas duras (por exemplo de
laranja, ananás ou beterraba crua) ou pedaços estragados e lavando-os. Caso a fruta e os
vegetais sejam de pequena dimensão, coloque-os directamente no tubo (B) sem os cortar.
Nota: frutas ou vegetais muito moles, duros ou fibrosos, como por exemplo banana,
papaia, manga, pêra abacate, figo ou cana-de-açúcar, não devem ser processados neste
aparelho.
-Ligue o aparelho à fonte de alimentação e seleccione a velocidade pretendida no botão
de funcionamento (K), de acordo com os alimentos a preparar:
- “1” velocidade de baixa potência - indicada para alimentos moles, tais como morangos,
melão, melancia, tomate, uvas, pepino, etc.;
- “2” velocidade de elevada potência - indicada para alimentos rijos, tais como cenouras,
maçãs, couve vermelha, beterraba, etc.;
- “P” (Pulse) - velocidade de potência máxima – permite atingir a potência máxima
instantaneamente quando a velocidade “2” não é suficiente.
-Insira os alimentos no tubo (B) e pressione-os lentamente com o acessório (A) para
extrair o máximo de sumo.
Nota: não exerça demasiada pressão no acessório (A) para não danificar o filtro (D).
Nota: durante a utilização aconselha-se que limpe o recipiente para polpa (F) sempre que
este estiver cheio, e esvazie o recipiente para sumo (N) quando atingir a capacidade
máxima de 0,6 L. Certifique-se que o aparelho está desligado no botão de funcionamento
(K) e que o filtro (D) está completamente parado antes de retirar os recipientes (F e/ou N).
-Após a utilização, rode o botão (K) para a posição “0” (desligado) e desligue o aparelho
da fonte de alimentação.
-Desencaixe o recipiente para sumo (N) e sirva o sumo directamente.
Nota: após a utilização, recomenda-se que proceda de imediato à limpeza do aparelho
para que os resíduos não sequem e a limpeza se torne mais fácil – ver secção “Limpeza e
Arrumação”.
DICAS
-Escolha preferencialmente fruta e vegetais frescos pois contêm mais sumo.
-Consuma o sumo imediatamente após a sua preparação para beneficiar de todo o seu
sabor e nutrientes. Se não o consumir de imediato, guarde-o num jarro hermeticamente
fechado no frigorífico e adicione algumas gotas de limão para não oxidar.

-Para evitar que o sumo de maçã oxide rapidamente, adicione-lhe umas gotas de limão
logo após a sua preparação.
-O sumo de certos vegetais, tais como brócolos, espinafres, couve vermelha, etc., é
muito forte e amargo devendo ser consumido com moderação e diluído ou misturado com
sabores mais adocicados, como os da cenoura ou beterraba.
-A polpa obtida de alguns frutos ou vegetais pode ser reutilizada para cozinhar, tal como
a polpa de cenoura, beterraba, laranja, etc.
RESOLUÇÃO DE PROBLEMAS
-Sempre que utilizar este aparelho e detectar alguma irregularidade no seu
funcionamento, consulte a tabela que se segue para perceber as causas e as soluções
para as resolver. Caso não seja possível, contacte o Serviço de Informação ao Cliente ou
dirija-se à loja onde adquiriu o aparelho.

LIMPEZA E ARRUMAÇÃO
-Para proceder à limpeza do aparelho, desligue-o sempre da fonte de alimentação.
-Não utilize detergentes de limpeza abrasivos, esfregões, álcool, solventes ou utensílios
metálicos para limpar o aparelho.
-Desmonte o aparelho começando por remover o recipiente para polpa (F). De seguida
rode os fechos de segurança (J) para a posição “ ” (aberto) e retire a tampa (C). Por fim
remova o colector (E) juntamente com o filtro (D).
Nota: devido à rotação do filtro (D), é possível que note alguma resistência para o retirar.
Espere alguns minutos para que se desprenda e tente novamente.
-Lave à mão as partes destacáveis que compõem o aparelho (A, C, D, E, F, M e N) com
água morna e um detergente neutro e seque-as cuidadosamente antes de as voltar a
encaixar no aparelho. Utilize a escova (O), fornecida com o aparelho, para retirar
quaisquer resíduos de alimentos do filtro (D).
-Limpe o corpo do aparelho (I) com um pano seco ou ligeiramente húmido e depois
seque-o com um pano limpo e seco.
-Assegure-se que todas as partes destacáveis (A , C ,D ,E ,F, M e N) estão devidamente
secas antes de as voltar a encaixar no aparelho.
-Nunca mergulhe o corpo do aparelho (I) em água ou qualquer outro líquido.
Arrumação
- Após a limpeza, armazene o aparelho num local seco e ventilado, afastado de fontes de
calor ou da luz solar directa.
- Certifique-se que o aparelho está completamente limpo e seco antes de armazenar.

A substituição do produto ou reembolso do seu valor em caso de avaria técnica, será
efectuado após verificação da cobertura e condições de garantia.
O Certificado de Garantia, emitido por Pingo Doce – Distribuição Alimentar, S.A., é válido
para o artigo “MÁQUINA DE SUMOS – MODELO MSB500” - denominado “Artigo” e
garante ao comprador, por um período de 24 meses, desde a data da sua entrega, que
este beneficia do serviço de assistência técnica da marca.
No caso de ser necessário o serviço de assistência técnica durante o tempo de vigência
desta garantia, o comprador deve contactar a loja onde adquiriu o artigo ou o posto de
assistência mais próximo.
Para obter o serviço de garantia, o cliente deve apresentar-se munido dos seguintes
documentos: Certificado de Garantia e Comprovativo de Compra (factura comercial), para
que possa ser confirmada a data de aquisição do artigo.
Condições da Garantia
Esta garantia aplica-se ao Artigo que tenha sido utilizado de acordo com as
recomendações do fabricante, sob condições normais de utilização, para fins domésticos
e cuidados razoáveis com o equipamento. Não cobre danos motivados por mau
funcionamento ou falhas técnicas resultantes de má utilização, designadamente utilização
para fins a que o Artigo não se destina ou para os quais não se encontra preparado, de
abuso ou de negligência.
Sempre que o Artigo necessitar de instalação técnica, esta terá de ser efectuada por um
agente autorizado pela marca Electric Co, caso contrário, esta garantia não cobrirá
qualquer falta de conformidade resultante da instalação.
Esta garantia não cobre igualmente quaisquer alterações, reparações ou modificações
que não tenham sido executadas por um agente autorizado pela marca Electric Co e não
será aplicável para os casos em que o artigo tenha sido danificado por acidente.

routine easier. Carefully read this instruction manual before using the appliance to get the
best results from it and keep this instruction manual for future reference.

use accessories recommended by the manufacturer and those
provided with the appliance, otherwise they could constitute a
danger to the user and risk todamage the appliance.
-This appliance is exclusively for domestic use. Any other use
must be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The
manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any injuries or
damage resulting fromimproper use.
-Do not touch the appliance or its plug with wet hands, humid
feet or barefoot, to avoid the risk of electrical shocks.
-Neverleave theappliance unsupervised duringoperation.
-Do not open or undertake any repairs on the appliance. By
failing to observe this rule, you may risk your own safety and the
warranty may become invalid. Only qualified technicians can
repair the appliance.
-To avoid fire accidents or electrical shock hazards, make sure

appliance or in contact with the supply cord. Do not expose the

Assure that onlyoriginal parts orcomponentsare used.
-Do not place any objects on top of the supply cord, never bend
or twist it and make sure it doesn’t come into contact with sharp
edges, hot surfaces or where people may walk past and trip on
it. Do not leave the supply cord hanging in such a position that a
childmay reach it.
-Always hold the plug to disconnect the appliance from the wall
socket and not by thesupply cord.
-Never move the appliance by pulling it through the supply cord,
makesure the supplycord doesn’t get caught in anyway and do
not wind it around the appliance.
-Keep the appliance away from direct or indirect heat sources,
such as gas or electrical stoves, ovens or other appliances that
produceheat.
-Use this appliance on a non-slippery, stable, flat and dry

-Use only the supplied food pusher to press the food into the
feeding tube. Never use fingers or any other accessory, under
the risk of accidents.
-If the appliance becomes blocked during operation, use the
supplied food pusher to press the food or insert another food to
unblock it. If this action doesn’t work, unplug the appliance from
the wall socket and disassemble it to proceed with its safe
unblocking.
-Do not touch the blades in the rotating filter and take special
care when handling and cleaning it, since they are extremely
sharp.
-Make sure the cover is properly fitted and that the security
locks are properly closed before placing the appliance in to
operation.
-The security locks should only be opened after disconnecting
the appliance from the wall socket and when the rotating filter
stopsitsmovement.
-Do not use this appliance for more than 40 seconds
continuously when processing hard food, such as carrot, apple,
beetroot, etc., and don’t use it for more than 2 minutes
continuously when processing soft food, such as strawberries,
melon, watermelon, tomato, etc., to prevent the motor
overheating.
-After usage, disconnect the appliance and allow it to cool down
beforeputting it back in operation.

PREPARING FOR USE
With the Electric Co Juice Extractor MSB500 you can prepare delicious fresh juices quickly.
Before the first use
-Make sure that all the packaging materials have been properly removed before using the
appliance.
-Wash all the detachable parts of the appliance (A, C, D, E, F, M, N and O) by hand with
warm water and a mild detergent, except the main body (I) and dry them thoroughly before
fitting them back into the appliance.
Note: take special care when handling the filter (D) since it contains sharp blades.
-Assemble the appliance, fitting all its parts properly – see section “Assembling”.
Assembling
-Place the appliance on a non-slippery surface with the operation button (K) facing you.
Note: make sure that the appliance is disconnected from the wall socket before proceeding
with its assembling.
-Place the juice collector (E) on the main body (I) and fit the filter (D) on to the motor axle
(H) by pressing it slightly until fitted (Fig. 1).
-Insert the pulp container (F) on the left side of the appliance and the juice jug (N) on the
right side, making sure that the opening of lid (M) stays under the juice exit (G) (Fig. 2).
-Put the cover (C) on top of the appliance and clamp it rotating the security locks (J),
located on both sides of the main body (I), to position “ ” (closed) (Fig. 3).

-Make sure the appliance is properly assembled before use and the security locks are
properly closed, otherwise it will not work.
Operation
-Place the appliance on a stable and flat surface, protected from impacts and away from
the edges, and make sure that the feet with suction cups (L) adhere to the surface.
-Previously prepare the food to be passed thought the feeding tube (B) by cutting it (if
necessary), removing any pips, hard peels (such as orange, pineapple and raw beetroot)
or rotten pieces, and washing them. If the fruits and vegetables are small, put them directly
in the feeding tube (B) without cutting them.
Note: fruits or vegetables too soft, hard or fibrous such as banana, papaya, mango,
avocado, fig or sugar cane, shouldn’t be processed with this appliance.
-Connect the appliance to a wall socket and select the intended speed on the operation
button (K) according to the food to prepare:
- “1” low power speed - indicated for soft food, such as strawberries, melon, watermelon,
tomato, grapes, cucumber, etc;
- "2" high power speed – indicated for hard food such as carrots, apples, red cabbage,
beetroot, etc;
- “P” (Pulse) - maximum power speed – allows achieving the maximum power speed
instantaneously when speed “2” is not enough.
-Insert the food through the tube (B) and press it slowly with the food pusher (A), to
extract the maximum juice.
Note: don’t make too much pressure on the food pusher (A) to avoid damaging the filter
(D).
Note: during use it is advisable to clean the pulp container (F) whenever it is full, and to
empty the juice jug (N) when it reaches the maximum capacity of 0,6 L, making sure that
the appliance is disconnected on button (K) and that the filter (D) stops completely before
removing the recipients (F and/or N).
-After use, turn the operation button (K) to position "0" (off) and disconnect the appliance
from the wall socket.
-Detach the juice jug (N) and pour the juice directly.
Note: after using, it is recommended to proceed immediately with the appliance’s cleaning
so that the residues don’t dry up and cleaning becomes easier - see section "Cleaning and
Storage”.
HINTS
-Choose fresh fruit and vegetables, because they are juicier.
-Drink the juice immediately after its preparation to benefit from its full flavour and
nutrients. If not consumed immediately, store it in a hermetic jug in the refrigerator and add
a few drops of lemon juice to not oxidize.
-To avoid the rapid oxidation of the apple juice, add some lemon drops immediately after
its preparation.
-The juice of some vegetables, such as broccoli, spinach, red cabbage, etc., is very
strong and bitter and should be consumed with moderation and diluted or mixed with
sweetened flavours, like carrot or beetroot.
-The pulp obtained from some fruits and vegetables can be reused for cooking, such as
the pulp of carrots, beetroots, oranges, etc.

TROUBLESHOOTING
During use, if any irregularities are detected on the appliance’s operation, check the below
table to understand the causes and solutions to resolve them. If not possible, please
contact the Customer Support Line or go to the store where the appliance was bought.

CLEANING AND STORAGE
-Always disconnect the appliance from the wall socket before cleaning it.
-Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, scrub pads, alcohol, solvents or metallic utensils to
clean the appliance.
-Disassemble the appliance by starting to remove the pulp recipient (F). Next, turn the
security lock (J) to position “ ” (open) and remove the cover (C). Finally remove the juice
collector (E) together with the filter (D).
Note: due to the filter’s rotation, it is possible that you notice some resistance when
detaching it. Wait a few minutes for it to detach and try again.
-Wash all the detachable parts of the appliance (A, C, D, E, F, M, and N) by hand with
warm water and a mild detergent and dry them thoroughly before fitting them back into the
appliance. Use brush (O), supplied with the appliance, to remove any food residues from
the filter (D).
-Clean the main body (I) with a dry or slightly damp cloth and then dry it with a dry and
clean cloth.
-Make sure that all detachable parts (A, C, D, E, F, M and N) are duly dry before refitting
them back on the appliance.
-Never immerse the main body (I) in water or any other liquid.
Storage
-After cleaning, store the appliance in a dry and ventilated place, away from heat sources
and direct sun light.
-Make sure that the appliance is well cleaned and dried before storing it.

Electric Co products have a 2 year guarantee.
In the event of technical malfunction, the product will only be replaced or a refund made
after verification that the product is covered by the guarantee.
The guarantee certificate issued by Pingo Doce - Distribuição Alimentar, S.A., is valid for
the product “JUICER - MODEL MSB500” referred to as “product” and it guarantees
technical assistance service by the brand within 24 months since the product is delivered
to the buyer.
If the technical assistance service is required during the guarantee period, the buyer must
contact the seller or the nearest technical assistance service.
In order to benefit the product’s guarantee, the buyer must present the following
documents: Guarantee Certificate and Purchase Receipt (commercial invoice), to confirm
the purchase date.
Guarantee Conditions
This guarantee applies to products which have been used according to the manufacturer’s
recommendations under normal conditions of domestic use and when reasonable care has
been taken of the equipment. This guarantee does not cover damage as a result of
malfunctions or technical defects from misuse, namely when the product has been used for
other purposes or in any circumstances other than those for which it was intended, neither
does the guarantee cover negligence or abuse.
Whenever the product requires technical installation, this must be performed by authorized
