Underwater light fixture Niagara Star 20
With the underwater light fixture aquaria, decorative fountains and garden ponds can
be illuminated from under water – also in colour with the coloured light shades sup-
plied.
Special fasteners on the fixture’s base allow for the combination of several light fix-
tures. A clip provides for simple mounting directly to the pump.
Read these instructions thoroughly before commissioning this appliance.
Safety first!
To prevent personal injury and damage to the appliance, please note:
· Never reach into the water before not all immersed electrical equipment is
switched OFF and their power cables unplugged.
· Connect this light only to a power source matching the specifications stated in
the „technical specifications“ section.
· This light can only be operated submerged in water ; if not submerged the
light’s casing overheats.
· The transformer is suitable for outdoor operation; however it can not be placed in
water.
· Ensure that power supply cable and plug do not get wet.
Lay out the power cable so that is raises to the power outlet.
· Extension cables need to be splash-proof; they shall not lay in water.
· The light can not be used outdoors at sub-zero temperatures.
· The transformer is protected against overheating and short-circuit of the light. If
the light should go out, unplug for approx. 5 minutes. If the light does not come
on after plugging in again, replace the halogen lamp (see next page). If the light
still does not work the transformer is defunct.
· Do not attempt to repair a damaged cable or the transformer. Have repaired by a
qualified electrician.

Into the water!

Danger! Electric potential.
Risk of personal injury by electric shock if the power supply cable, plug or an
extension cable becomes wet. Always keep dry!
Mounting on base
· Fit light shade of desired colour.
· Place light on fixing screw of base.
· Tighten wing nut.
· Place light into water (weight down base with
gravel if necessary) and adjust.
· Lay out power cable.
Mounting on pump
· Fit light shade of desired colour.
· Slide clip into groove of pump casing.
· Attach light with clip to riser pipe of pump
and adjust.
· Lay out power cable.
Lights on!
· To turn light on plug power supply cable in.
Replacing the halogen lamp
· Loosen and remove screws (4 pcs);
· Remove casing lid and glass cover.
· Pull halogen lamp from socket and replace.

Grease and sweat deposits reduce the halogen lamp's service life. Do not
touch lamp with bare hands.
· Check that seal is undamaged and in correct position.
· Replace glass cover and casing lid, secure with screws.

Ensure correct positioning of the casing lid; the projection serves as seal for
the groove.
