1. VERSION
This manual is written for CPS firmware version CPSX 010_ and higher.
2. START-UP SEQUENCE
2.1. INTRODUCTION
This section describes the information shown on the display of your CPS, during the start-up sequence.
The start-up sequence takes 30 seconds and starts after a power-on or after a reset command.

3.2. CPS POWER SOURCE: PARAMETERS PROGRAMMING MODE
To check if the machine has the programmable parameters capabilities, check the display at the turn on, if
CPSr appears in the Voltage display, the device is programmable.
In order to activate the parameters programming mode, after the end of power source initialization, press
and hold the REMOTE button for more than 5 seconds.
During parameters programming mode the power source output is powered off.
During parameters programming mode, all the parameters’ values can be checked and modified.
In case of no action for more than 3 minutes, the programming mode ends and the power source comes
back to the normal operation.

3.3. CPS POWER SOURCE: PARAMETERS SELECTION AND MODIFICATION
3.3.1. PARAMETERS SELECTION
It’s possible to scroll the parameters by pressing the REMOTE button repeatedly.
3.3.2. PARAMETERS MODIFICATION
By rotating the knob, it’s possible to modify the selected parameter.
3.3.3. SAVE AND EXIT
In order to save the changes, the following steps have to be followed:
•Set the SAVE parameter to YES
•Press the REMOTE button for more than 5 seconds.
When the programming mode ends, the power source is reset and reconfigured following the new settings.
If the previous steps are performed without setting SAVE parameter to YES (SAVE = NO), the programming
mode ends without reset action, and the power source comes back to the previous settings.

3.4.1. FACTORY SETTINGS
In order to set a custom startup configuration “FACT = NO” must be set.
Otherwise, the startup configuration will be as factory default.

The output voltage range can be set (high range or low range ).
3.4.5. 2-WIRE/4-WIRE SENSING
The output voltage sensing can be set (2-wire or 4-wire sensing).
3.4.6. INTERNAL/EXTERNAL SYNC
You can select Int of Line, please refer to the user manual for more information.
3.4.7. CONTINUOUS/INRUSH CURRENT
You can select Continuous or Inrush mode, refer to the manual for more information’s
3.4.8. L1 VOLTAGE
L1 output starting voltage can be set.
3.4.9. L2 VOLTAGE
L2 output starting voltage can be set.
3.4.10.L3 VOLTAGE
L3 output starting voltage can be set.

3.4.11.FREQUENCY
The output starting frequency can be set for all the phases.
3.4.12.L1 PHASE
L1 phase can be set.
3.4.13.L2 PHASE
L2 phase can be set.
3.4.14.L3 PHASE
L3 phase can be set.
3.4.15.PHASE ROTATION
Phase rotation can be set as left (“L”) or right (“R”).

3.4.16.SERIAL COMMUNICATION BAUD RATE
If the proprietary communication protocol is selected (Elettrotest) the following baud rate values can be
set:
▪1200
▪9600
▪19200
Otherwise, if the SCPI communication protocol is selected, the baud rate is set to 9600 automatically.
3.4.17.SERIAL COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL
One of the following serial communication protocols can be set:
•Elettrotest (proprietary protocol)
•SCPI protocol

Questa sezione descrive le informazioni visualizzate dai display delle macchine CPS durante la fase di test.
La fase di test ha una durata di circa 30s ed ha inizio al power-on della macchina o dopo l’esecuzione del
comando di reset della stessa.
