WARNING
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE
FOLLOWING WARNINGS COULD RESULT
IN PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY
DAMAGE
SHOCK HAZARD
• Disconnect electrical power supplies before
installation or servicing.
FIRE HAZARD
• Do not exceed specied voltages. Only
power transformers should be connected
to line voltage. All other wires shall only
connect to low voltage (24 VAC). Safely
route and secure all wiring after installation.
• Protect powered devices from direct
contact with water. Replace any device
exposed to water. (Does not apply to
Supply Air Sensors, Return Air Sensors,
Suction Line Sensors, Liquid Line Sensors.)
• Installer must be a qualified technician, familiar
with installation and service of HVAC equipment,
associated wiring, and electrical codes.
• Follow all local and national
codes and ordinances.
• The Sensi Predict power transformers are
designed for connection to 120VAC or 240VAC volt
electric powers within existing HVAC chassis only.
• After installation or replacement, follow the HVAC
manufacturer’s recommended instructions to
ensure proper operation of the HVAC equipment.
• Labeling any HVAC wires that need
to be disconnected during the
installation is recommended.
The Sensi™ Predict kit is designed for conventional, residential HVAC equipment (furnace, AC, & heat
pumps) in homes that have Internet access. The Sensi Predict system acts as a monitor only and does not
provide any HVAC control.
As the installing technician, it is your responsibility to know what requirements, hazards and precautions
exist, and to install the monitoring system in a safe manner.
Do not alter the mounting of parts within the HVAC equipment.

1. SETUP GATEWAY* CONFIRM WIFI AND NOTE EQUIPMENT DATA
1. POWER THE SENSI PREDICT CONFIGURED GATEWAY
• Connect the Gateway power adapter to an outlet near the existing home router.
• Ensure the Gateway powers up.
2. CONNECT THE GATEWAY TO THE EXISTING HOME ROUTER
• Connect one end of the provided network cable to an open port on the Gateway.
• Connect the other end of the network cable to any open, numbered LAN port on
the existing home router.
NOTE: If homeowner has a cable or DSL modem with only one Network (LAN) port and no router, then a router
must be purchased and installed by the homeowner before install.
3. CHECK FOR WIRELESS SIGNAL AT THE FURNACE/AIR HANDLER
• Though the wireless network may be seen through your mobile phone or
tablet’s available Wi-Fi networks, it is important to check the desired wireless
signal strength using a mobile app showing “Received Signal Strength
Indication” or RSSI.
–For Android devices, use an app called Wifi Analyzer.
–For iOS (Apple) devices, use an app called Airport Utility and enable
the Wi-Fi scanner function through the settings app.
• Confirm the Gateway’s RSSI level stays in a range of -70 to 0 dBm at proposed
Data Hub mounting location.
• If the wireless signal level at desired Data Hub mounting location is too low,
you may need to consider alternate Data Hub mounting locations or Powerline
Extenders and Gateway to relocate a wireless network closer to Data Hub.
For more information on using these free apps or Powerline Extenders, visit
the Support section of the Sensi Predict Pro Portal, or call 1-877-424-1715.
4. WRITE DOWN THE ID FROM THE DATA HUB; YOU WILL NEED THIS
DURING ACTIVATION
The Data Hub ID (located on the back side, just above the barcode) has 16 alpha-
numeric characters.
You may also take a photo to reference later in the install.

4. PAIRING
1. WPS PAIRING (all steps must be completed within 2 minutes)
• Press the WPS button located on the gateway or have the homeowner start
the WPS push-button pairing process for their wireless network (if supported
otherwise go to step 2.)
• Press and hold for 5 seconds the pairing button on the Sensi Predict Data Hub
– The Data Hub is ready when the green and red LEDs remain solid, while the
amber LED blinks
– If the Data Hub LEDs don’t indicate you are in the correct mode, re-try
depressing for 5 seconds the pairing button on the Data Hub
2. DIRECT PAIRING
• If WPS Pairing fails or is not available, use the Sensi Predict Pairing app to
directly pair to desired wireless network.
•  Instructions are contained within the app.
NOTE: Once Data Hub is placed into direct pairing mode, it will stay in that mode for up to 5 minutes
or until it receives wireless network credentials through the pairing app.
3. CONFIRM CONNECTION ON DATA HUB
• Pairing may take a couple minutes to complete.
• Once a connection has been established, only the amber and green LEDs will be lit.
• The amber LED may flicker slightly to indicate data is being sent to the Sensi
Predict servers.
NOTE: If there is any other light configuration you may need to repeat the process, or an Internet
service problem may exist. If after three attempts you are unable to correctly pair the Data Hub,
call 1-877-424-1715 for assistance.
