Intended Use:
EMG ErgoTech Air Cushion is a seat pad / seat overlay that provides the user with
unparalleled comfort during prolonged hours of sitting. This product is essentially
an air adjustable, cellular design support surface. The product can be used in the
following areas:
Household Seats (Chairs, Sofa, etc.,)
Office Chairs
Automotive (Car, Trucks, Tractors, etc.,)
Travel (Train, Aircraft, etc.,)
Wheel Chair

What is Included:
A –Air Cushion (Qty - 1)
B –Bulb Pump with release button (Qty - 1)
C –Cushion Cover with Anti Slip bottom (Qty - 1)
M –Mounting Harness (Qty - 2)
H –Pump Holster (Qty - 1)
MPH –Mounting Harness –Pump Holster (Qty –1)
R –Repair Patches (Qty - 3)

Preliminary Inflation:
1. There are 2 inflation valves in the cushion –Mouth Valve on the left and
Pump Valve on the right (When viewed from front of the Cushion)
2. Hold the Mouth Valve, that is on the left-hand side (You can locate it in the
Vicinity of the Rubber Port) and push through the Rubber Port to bring out
the Mouth Valve

3. Rotate the valve in Anti-Clockwise direction to open and blow air using
mouth. This will inflate the cushion
4. When the cushion is inflated sufficiently, rotate the valve in Clockwise
direction to close it. Push the valve through the rubber port to place it
inside the cover.
Pre-Caution: Inflate the cushion only 60-70% to have better comfort and long life

Installation Possibilities:
1. EMG ErgoTech cushions have versatile design to fit on any type of chair.
The cover has 3 elastic loops on top, 3 elastic loops at the bottom and one
elastic loop on each side.
2. There are 4 types of looping possibilities for any chair. Please find below
the 4 different configurations:

3. To attach the Harness to the cushion, Slide the Hook in to the Elastic Loop
and then lock the spring clip as shown below.
4. Run the Harness around the Chair’s Backrest surface and hook into the
elastic loop on opposite end.

5. You can adjust the harness tension using the slider/adjuster as shown.
6. There are many Chair models in the market with different sizes and shapes,
some of the models and their installation pictures are given below.
However, it is not necessary to install in the above said methods, you can
install in the best convenient way possible according to your chair

Pre-Caution: Ensure that the loops do not stretch too much, ideal length of the loop
should be less than 1 inch / 25mm for longer life of the covers.

Pressure Adjustment:
1. To increase air pressure inside the cushion, take the bulb pump and
Squeeze it as shown. Continue pumping until the cushion is adequately
filled with air. DO NOT OVER INFLATE THE CUSHION.
2. Sit against the Cushion and adjust Air Pressure inside the cushion by
Pressing the release button on the bulb pump. Adjust the Air Pressure until
you are about 1.5 to 2 inch off the Backrest surface.

3. If you bottom out / touch the Chair’s Backrest surface, add more air and
adjust again. DO NOT OVERINFLATE. The Product works effectively with 60-
70% inflation.
Warning: NO WARRANTY claim for failures due to Over Pressure of the Cushion. Cushion
should be operated at the specified pressure levels for better life

Pump Holster Installation:
1. Pump Holster is the Primary Accessory for EMG ErgoTech Cushions. It
comes as an assembly of Pump Hostler (P) and Pump Holster mounting
harness (MPH)
2. Place the holster assembly on the Seat Portion of your chair. Find a
convenient place with no interference on the left-hand side of your chair.

3. Run the strap around the seat from Top and clip the harness. Ensure that
the adjuster and buckle are on the bottom portion and doesn’t interfere on
the Chair’s Seating Surface. You can adjust the tension on the strap using
Slider / Adjuster

at the bottom
